00:00 Hello I'm Adam Haling from PartsFunknown and welcome to Fantasy Booking Warfare.
00:06 This is our final first round matchup to decide who will be meeting Laurie in the semi-finals
00:15 of the Fantasy Booking Warfare tournament.
00:18 Will it be Los Intangibles de WrestleTalk or will it be Steve and Larson?
00:28 Let's decide for ourselves as we watch these two teams compete to book the New Day triple
00:37 threat.
00:44 I am joined by our two competitors for Fantasy Booking Warfare in the evil corner, Los Intangibles
00:54 de WrestleTalk.
00:55 Hello boys.
00:56 Thanks for having us.
01:00 We're going to win like we win everything else.
01:02 Jam that champion, QuizzleMania champion.
01:04 We're going to win Fantasy Booking as well.
01:07 All we do is win, win, win no matter what.
01:11 And in the better corner, our guests for this round, it's Steve and Larson.
01:19 Hello friendos.
01:20 Hi.
01:21 Whoa, whoa, wait a second, wait a second there, Adam.
01:26 I believe the proper introduction would be the current reigning defending QuizzleMania
01:30 tag team champions, the friendos Steve and Larson.
01:35 I'm getting absolute Hogan versus Ultimate Warrior vibes.
01:38 Champion versus champion.
01:41 And you guys have been Fantasy Booking the New Day triple threat.
01:47 Very much looking forward to seeing how this plays out.
01:49 First of all, Los Intangibles, how was it?
01:52 Was it difficult?
01:53 It was all right.
01:54 I think we came up with a solid plan.
01:58 The real problem we ran into was the runtime because it's the New Day triple threat.
02:02 You want like a nice long building organic storyline to build to this big moment.
02:06 You don't want to rush it, but also you need to fit it into eight minutes.
02:09 So it was really difficult that, but I feel like we've come up with something pretty solid.
02:14 Steve and Larson, yours came in at like a minute to spare.
02:16 So obviously that's not a problem you guys had.
02:19 Yeah.
02:20 Yeah.
02:21 We prefer an efficiency in storytelling.
02:23 I'll be honest with you though.
02:25 Larson came in and trimmed a lot of the fat.
02:28 I had things like time travel, live sex shows.
02:32 At one point I had Karrion Kross joining the New Day and he said, "Steve, listen, this
02:35 is a serious situation."
02:37 And then he trimmed all that stuff out and what we're left with is pure magic.
02:43 I was standing there brushing my teeth and then like a moment of inspiration.
02:46 I was like, we can't have Karrion Kross joining the New Day.
02:50 It doesn't make any sense.
02:51 That'd be far too big a promotion for the lad as he currently is.
02:55 Right.
02:56 So we're going to decide who's going to go first.
02:58 Pete, you're a nerd.
02:59 Do you have a dice in front of you?
03:01 There it is.
03:02 I certainly do.
03:03 So odds are Lost Intangibles, evens for Steve and Larson.
03:08 That's a three.
03:09 That's us.
03:10 All right.
03:11 So we get to decide, would you like to go first or would you like to go second?
03:14 Tempest, I'll leave this one to you, buddy.
03:16 What do you want?
03:18 Pete, I think the way to go is to go first and to set the standard first.
03:24 Give Adam something to think about and then judge everything that they do based off of
03:28 what we said.
03:29 Perfect.
03:30 Let's do it.
03:31 All right.
03:32 Let's see it.
03:33 Okay.
03:34 So the next thing you're going to be seeing is Lost Intangibles de WrestleTalk booking
03:39 the New Day triple threat.
03:42 All right.
03:43 So here's some ground rules and admin before this booking gets underway.
03:46 No heel turns.
03:47 This is a story based on friendship, camaraderie and positivity.
03:50 So here's what's in place before the story starts.
03:53 AJ Styles and Omos are drafted to SmackDown in the 2021 draft.
03:57 At the Royal Rumble 2022, Big E, who's still the Money in the Bank briefcase holder, makes
04:01 it to the final four of the Rumble and eliminates AJ Styles before being thrown over the top
04:05 rope by eventual winner Brock Lesnar, who goes on to face Bobby Lashley for the WWE
04:10 Championship.
04:11 AJ's upset with his elimination and says to Big E that if he can't get a world title
04:15 shot from the Rumble, he will get one from Big E's briefcase instead and challenges
04:19 him for the briefcase at WrestleMania 38, which Big E wins.
04:22 Also at WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns defeats The Rock, retaining his Universal Championship,
04:27 and during this time, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston have just kind of been around in
04:31 the tag division on Raw doing their thing.
04:34 Still being over as hell, but not really winning that much.
04:36 I promise this is part of the plan.
04:38 So this story starts on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 38.
04:42 Roman Reigns is cutting a promo about how he's proven now that he is the true head
04:45 of the table, and there's no one left to beat on SmackDown.
04:48 Big E interrupts this promo and says that he's cashing in his briefcase in advance,
04:52 and at Backlash it will be Big E vs. Roman for the Universal Championship.
04:57 Meanwhile on that show, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, who weren't on the WrestleMania
05:00 card, find Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville and implore them to find a way to have them drafted
05:05 to SmackDown.
05:06 They've lost their way as a tag team, and they need to find their roots once again.
05:09 They need to reform the New Day as a trio.
05:12 Pearce and Deville trade Woods and Kingston for, let's say, Ziggler and Roode.
05:16 And Woods and Kingston start to get some wins.
05:18 The build to Backlash is fairly simple.
05:21 Emphasize Big E's decade in WWE, and how he's never held a world title on the main
05:25 roster, never even gotten a world title match on the main roster, and Roman can play off
05:29 of how Big E's a big goofball and not serious enough to succeed.
05:34 During the Backlash match itself, a few minutes into the match the Usos try and run interference,
05:38 but Woods and Kingston come down and run them off, and none of those four are seen again,
05:43 making it a true one-on-one match between Big E and Reigns.
05:47 After a 20 minute match, and after Big E kicks out of a spear and Roman kicks out of a big
05:51 ending, Big E powers up in a guillotine and spins Roman into another big ending, and Big
05:56 E wins the Universal Championship clean as a whistle.
05:59 Woods and Kingston come out to celebrate and they recreate the shot from KofiMania with
06:02 Kofi on their shoulders, but with Big E swapped out for Kofi instead.
06:06 On the SmackDown after Backlash, there's a title celebration segment in the ring, where
06:09 The New Day congratulate Big E. Kofi then points out that at Backlash it brought back
06:13 memories of KofiMania, but it also reminded him of how he lost that title, and how he's
06:18 never been able to see those heights again since.
06:21 Seeing E with the title has lit a fire within him again, and he wants that world title once
06:25 more.
06:26 Big E accepts his challenge, saying he will gladly fight his brother for the title, and
06:29 he wants Kofi to succeed, but this is his moment, and he's not about to lie down for
06:34 him.
06:35 The week after in a backstage promo, Xavier Woods comments that he now doesn't have
06:38 a tag partner with both E and Kofi focusing on their singles runs, and he says that's
06:42 fine.
06:43 He's going to prove that he can be the best singles wrestler in The New Day.
06:46 He's never truly been a singles wrestler by himself since he joined WWE, and now he's
06:52 about to show the world what he can do.
06:54 He gets interrupted by a heel, it doesn't really matter who, and the two have a match,
06:58 and Woods wins.
06:59 During the contract signing for Big E vs Kingston in the Build to Extreme Rules, Kofi remarks
07:03 about how he's been there for 14 years.
07:05 He's done everything the company wanted him to do for 14 years, even after he won
07:10 the WWE Championship.
07:11 The company wanted him as a tag team guy, so he became a tag team guy again.
07:16 But now he's going to do what he wants, and that's become Universal Champion.
07:20 Big E responds saying that he's been there for a decade now too, and he's not about
07:24 to lose his title in 8 seconds.
07:26 He's not going to make the same mistakes that Kofi did, insert crowd going "Ooooooh".
07:33 At Extreme Rules, it's Big E vs Kingston.
07:35 After a solid 20 or so minutes, Kofi catches E with a Trouble in Paradise, one, two, Big
07:41 E just manages to get his foot on the bottom rope with his mad flexibility.
07:45 Kofi starts to get frustrated, sets up for another Trouble in Paradise, but is caught
07:49 straight into a big ending, one, two, three, Big E wins.
07:53 The two of course hug afterwards.
07:56 Also on that show, Woods faces AJ Styles because he wants to prove himself as a singles wrestler,
08:01 and wants to face Styles because SmackDown is the house that AJ Styles built, the face
08:05 that runs the place, yada yada yada etc.
08:08 Woods wins clean with Styles and Omos no longer on the same page.
08:12 On the SmackDown after Extreme Rules, Roman Reigns returns, who hasn't been seen since
08:16 he lost to Big E at Backlash, attacks Big E, and demands a rematch for the title.
08:21 Woods and Kingston win qualifying matches to enter the Money in the Bank ladder match,
08:25 and in this build you can keep the New Day plate spinning by having Kingston and Woods
08:28 say they want to win and cash it in on Big E in advance, like he did to Reigns.
08:33 They want to be the best, and they want to beat the best to do it, and Big E is the best.
08:38 During a segment where Roman and The Usos attack Big E, Woods and Kingston come out
08:42 to make the save, and Woods goes to hand the Universal Title to Big E, he stares at it
08:46 for a moment, before Kingston comes over and yells at Woods to get his head in the game
08:50 and that that's not his, before Big E comes over and snatches the title back, saying that
08:55 it's not either of theirs yet.
08:58 So at Money in the Bank in the ladder match, it's just Woods and Kingston on top of the
09:02 ladder, wailing away on each other, neither one giving in, before AJ Styles comes in,
09:06 tips them both off the ladder, threw two tables on the outside, climbs the ladder and wins
09:11 the briefcase.
09:13 Because of their injuries, Woods and Kingston can't help Big E in the main event, leaving
09:17 The Usos to interfere, meaning Big E has to fight off Jey, Jimmy and Roman.
09:22 And he does.
09:23 Double Superkicks, pop-up Samoan Drops, Superman Punches, a Spear, Big E takes it all, fights
09:28 them all off and hits Roman with a big ending and retains the title once more.
09:33 To determine the number one contender for Big E's title at Summerslam, because it's
09:36 a New Day triple threat story and you totally have to, a gauntlet match is announced for
09:40 SmackDown.
09:41 Xavier Woods enters at number three, he makes it all the way to the end to face the last
09:45 entrant, Kofi Kingston.
09:47 This gauntlet match takes up about an hour of the show, with these two getting at least
09:50 20 minutes to themselves.
09:52 Both still injured from Money in the Bank, exhausted, Kingston dodges a springboard clothesline,
09:58 Woods dodges a Trouble in Paradise and they hit dual superkicks at the same time, collapsing
10:02 on top of each other and pinning each other.
10:05 They both just manage to get to their knees while the crowd doesn't know what to do and
10:09 they stare at each other, wondering what's next before Big E's music hits.
10:13 He comes down and says into the microphone "I guess it was just meant to be.
10:17 At Summerslam it'll be me vs Kofi vs Woods.
10:22 Triple threat."
10:23 And from there, the build is simple.
10:25 All you need is dedicated video packages, one per week, highlighting each of the members
10:30 of the New Day, their history, their journey in the company, their highs and lows, including
10:34 promos from each of them of how important this match is to them.
10:38 And the go-home angle is an in-ring promo with the three of them.
10:42 Woods mentions how without him there wouldn't have been a New Day.
10:45 He brought them together and without him there wouldn't have been a Trombone, or Pancakes,
10:49 or Unicorns, or Booty-Os.
10:50 He's always been seen as the other one, the tag partner for life, but now he can show
10:54 everyone that he is the backbone of the New Day.
10:57 Kofi says that without him the New Day would have broken up years ago.
11:00 It was his guidance and his experience that helped these two young upstarts find success.
11:05 And Biggie says without him, the New Day would have been just another tag team lost in the
11:09 shuffle like they were when they didn't have him around.
11:12 Each of them has contributed to the success of the New Day and this promo is designed
11:16 to show it and to show what a unit they are together.
11:19 And at SummerSlam itself, the triple threat happens.
11:21 It's the main event, because of course it is, and there's an argument to be made for
11:25 any one of these three winning.
11:27 For this booking, we've decided to go for Kofi Kingston, to give him that one more run
11:32 at the top.
11:33 To prove he wasn't a flash in the pan or wasn't a flavour of the month.
11:36 And the show can end with the three of them hugging, confetti raining down, and recreating
11:40 one more time, Kofi on their shoulders, as a world champion.
11:44 And that's how we'd book the New Day triple threat.
11:46 Oh what the final hurdle boys, landing right on your face.
11:51 Another Kofi Kingston title run is it?
11:53 Tempest, take it away buddy.
11:57 Absolutely, absolutely.
11:58 You can see, even from just Bianca Belair getting a similar treatment at SummerSlam,
12:03 no one is over Kofi Kingston losing in eight seconds.
12:06 Look man, I'm razzing you because I think there was a lot of really good stuff in there.
12:12 I liked how character focused it was.
12:15 Feeding Roman to Big E, boys.
12:19 100%
12:20 Bobby already killed Kofi, is the motivation not there?
12:26 And also Big E can just jump across brands because he's got the briefcase?
12:30 He could, it's possible.
12:32 But also I think once Roman beats Rock, if that's the plan, if Roman beats Rock at next
12:37 year's WrestleMania, what else is he going to do?
12:40 He's proved himself as head of the table, I think he can lose to, make a star out of
12:43 Big E. Absolutely, I'd say so.
12:46 Maybe, I don't know.
12:47 I'm not, I feel like it might, it board line might damage Big E for that point.
12:52 Because if you take Roman Super Saiyan and have him beat The Rock, maybe people will
12:57 want Big E to beat him.
12:58 Maybe they won't, I don't know.
12:59 Maybe you need to beat Big E with Roman first and then build up to it.
13:03 Basically, once Big E had the title, I really enjoyed it.
13:06 Because I will also point out though, you said, "No heel turns, just good friendship."
13:11 You should have kind of caveat that and say, "No heel turns, just a bunch of guys being
13:15 a little pissy at each other."
13:17 There's so much passive aggression in this.
13:21 I was like, "Wait a second, positivity?
13:22 These guys are all being dicks to each other."
13:26 Stephen Lawson, what do you think?
13:28 I really liked it.
13:29 The only thing would be, it's got to be Woods at the end because he isn't the guy who's
13:35 gotten it before.
13:36 And then also, I mean, this is WWE, you have to have at least three championship contender
13:41 matches along the way and he didn't have any of that.
13:44 So you get a lot of points for that.
13:45 Not a three matches overall.
13:46 I think a lot of the inspiration behind some of our ideas here came from the Sami Zayn,
13:52 Adrian Neville feud in NXT where Adrian Neville never turned heel by the end, but there was
14:00 definitely a sharpness to the promos by the end.
14:04 But once it ended, they were still able to hug and both be babyfaces.
14:08 That was kind of our mentality behind the, "We're going to leave heel turns to one side
14:12 and maintain more of a positive outlook on things."
14:16 And regarding Big E beating Roman Reigns, I think the big problem with SmackDown lately
14:21 is that there hasn't been a top babyface to go against Roman.
14:25 And we wanted the Bobby Lashley loss to more play into Kofi and Woods' decline on Raw before
14:31 moving over to SmackDown and reuniting with Big E. Whereas Big E was able to beat Roman
14:36 who is beating The Rock, is going to be at the top of WWE.
14:41 And hopefully you can coronate a new top babyface on SmackDown at the same time.
14:45 I don't know how you can say that there isn't a top babyface on SmackDown right now with
14:48 cowboy Viking Brock Lesnar having strolled back in from the rodeo bar.
14:53 Hey, we recorded this before SummerSlam.
14:56 It's a break.
14:57 I like that he did win your rumble to kick things up though.
15:01 He certainly did.
15:02 He sure did.
15:03 Right, so let's move on to Steven Larson's booking.
15:06 Let's see how Steven Larson would book the New Day Triple Threat.
15:11 Okay, so we start everything at WrestleMania 38, April 2022.
15:16 And as expected, we get Roman Reigns, the Tribal Chief, versus Rock, the Hollywood Chief,
15:21 Dwayne Johnson.
15:22 But earlier in the night, we also had Big E versus Goldberg.
15:25 Larson, it's eight minutes of big men slapping meat.
15:28 Big E, of course, gets the win.
15:30 Not by referee stoppage, not by Goldberg fading away or anything like that.
15:34 No.
15:35 But again, in the ring clean, one, two, three from the big ending.
15:39 And then five stars from Dave Meltzer on that particular bout.
15:41 Five and a half stars.
15:42 Yes.
15:43 So on the following SmackDown, the following Friday night, Roman, who had just beat The
15:47 Rock the Sunday before at WrestleMania, comes out and says he's cleared out the entire division.
15:52 He's beat Kevin Owens.
15:53 He's beat John Cena.
15:54 He stacked Edge at Daniel Bryan and then beat him each again.
15:58 He's beaten Brock Lesnar.
15:59 And of course, he just beat The Rock.
16:02 There's no one left for him to defend the title against.
16:07 But then fresh off his win against Goldberg comes Big E carrying that Money in the Bank
16:12 briefcase says, "Hey, Roman, you've never beaten me and you won't."
16:17 Tonight in the main event, he's cashing in.
16:20 What a huge SmackDown following WrestleMania, man.
16:23 We get a 20-minute main event.
16:25 Star making performance for Big E. And he's on the verge of winning the title.
16:28 The crowd is so into this until those damn Usos interfere.
16:33 They save Roman from a big ending and in the process, ref bump.
16:37 Couple of super kicks, couple of Uso splashes, and a spear from Roman Reigns.
16:43 After that, Big E is locked in Roman's guillotine and tries he might to power out.
16:48 He fades.
16:49 He doesn't tap out.
16:50 He fades out.
16:51 And Roman's reign continues all the way to next WrestleMania.
16:54 We're talking about new draftees, Drew McIntyre, Keith Lee, Sheamus.
17:01 Roman runs through everybody.
17:02 Yeah, but here's the thing.
17:04 As heartbroken as Big E might be about that loss to Roman, he still showed that he was
17:09 good enough to beat Roman.
17:11 He didn't lose because he came up short.
17:13 He lost because the Usos interfered.
17:16 Big E didn't have his family with him.
17:18 We're talking about the new day.
17:20 So over the course of the spring and summer, Roman's still running through all challengers
17:25 while Big E is still getting a good push.
17:27 He's still winning matches, but he's not being pushed up to the main event scene yet.
17:32 Right.
17:33 But then something huge happens.
17:35 That fall, the New Day are reunited during the WWE draft.
17:41 Kofi and Woods comes over to SmackDown and Big E, with his family, starts going on an
17:46 absolute tear, dominating the competition, seemingly on his way to another collision
17:51 with Roman.
17:52 Kofi and Woods, they're revitalized as well.
17:55 Woods finally wins that year's King of the Ring tournament, and both he and Kofi are
18:00 once again flirting with tag team gold.
18:04 So this all leads to Big E winning the 2023 Royal Rumble in Roman.
18:09 He sees Big E as his stiffest opponent to date because he's facing a true brotherhood
18:15 in the New Day.
18:16 You know, Bloodline is built on a house of lies, deceit, manipulation, not the deal with
18:23 the New Day.
18:24 They're built on positivity and friendship.
18:26 And so Roman goes about sowing distrust as best he can between Big E, Xavier Woods, and
18:31 Kofi Kingston.
18:33 And a little bit of infighting starts to build up within the New Day because of this, because
18:38 Roman just keeps needling at them and needling at them.
18:42 And things get a little tense to the degree where you think, "Oh, is now the time when
18:47 the New Day finally implode?"
18:49 And that's when Roman really starts turning the screws.
18:51 He questions Big E about whether he's really ready to be a main eventer.
18:56 He's already lost to Roman once and wonders why Xavier Woods isn't trying to get a title
19:00 shot since he's King of the Ring.
19:02 Right.
19:03 And then he tells Kofi that, "Hey, Kofi, it'd be great if you got a chance to get that chip
19:07 off your shoulder getting embarrassed by Lesnar and Lashley and taking a crack at toppling
19:12 the head of the table."
19:13 That gets Kofi thinking, "Man, I'm a former world champion.
19:16 Maybe I should."
19:17 Eventually Roman and Heyman convince Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville to make the match.
19:22 The New Day triple threat, the winner faces Roman Reigns at WrestleMania for the title.
19:29 And that match, the match we'd never thought we'd see happen, the triple threat between
19:32 Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods goes down at Fastlane.
19:38 That's right.
19:39 Elevating this B-level pay-per-view to the top status thanks to this triple threat match.
19:44 Correct.
19:45 And after a 25-minute build that goes from competitive wrestling to increasingly chippy
19:50 fighting, the bloodline, the Usos, Roman Reigns, they come down to the ring.
19:55 So Roman goes to the commentary table and stands on the table to showboat and distract.
20:00 He comes down right as Kofi hits a truss fall on Roman from the top to the floor, but Roman
20:06 catches him, the former world champion, and lawn darts him into the ring post.
20:11 He goes, "Rrrr," but then he's speared through the barricade by Big E as he's celebrating.
20:16 Meanwhile, the Usos are attacking Xavier Woods.
20:20 He puts up a good fight, but eventually succumbs to a series of super kicks and a bunch of
20:25 Uso splashes.
20:26 They continue to destroy Woods as Big E comes to after spearing Roman through the barricade.
20:32 He runs them off.
20:34 He looks down and he sees Xavier Woods is totally destroyed.
20:37 Kofi Kingston is totally destroyed.
20:39 So Big E has no other option but to pin him and basically just get this over with.
20:44 So he goes for the pin.
20:45 Ref counts one, two, and then he stands up.
20:47 He's like, "I can't do it."
20:49 He's emotionally destroyed over having to win this way.
20:52 So Woods struggles to get up to his feet.
20:55 That's all he can do because he's completely broken.
20:57 He shouts at E, "Just end this.
20:59 It's your time anyway."
21:01 And E won't do it.
21:02 So Woods says, "End this."
21:03 And he slaps him in the face twice.
21:06 So Big E, "Fine."
21:08 Heartbroken hits big ending on Woods, pins him for the win, and then he cradles Woods'
21:15 lifeless body and he cries.
21:17 He's headed to WrestleMania.
21:19 He's headed to WrestleMania, WrestleMania 39 to be exact.
21:22 He got Roman Reigns.
21:24 Big E in the main event.
21:26 And they're putting on another hell of a match like they did on SmackDown just about a year
21:29 ago.
21:30 Another star-making performance for Big E. And down the stretch, Roman's getting worked
21:35 over.
21:36 He calls for the Usos to come down and interfere.
21:39 But Kofi, Woods, they come out too.
21:43 Does a brawl break out?
21:44 No.
21:45 New Day steps up to him and is like, "Hey, the respect we used to have.
21:50 You know, think about it.
21:51 You guys lay down for the New Day to help Kofi get to the title match at Mania.
21:56 Where are those Usos?"
21:57 And this is the Usos' chance at redemption after being Roman's lackeys pretty much for
22:02 two years.
22:04 Do they go and cost Big E that match and help Roman retain that title?
22:08 Or do they back off and let the match finish just one-on-one?
22:14 They choose the latter.
22:16 Roman eats a big ending.
22:17 One, two, three.
22:19 Big E is your new universal champion.
22:21 And the crowd goes home happy.
22:23 There you go.
22:25 Beautiful.
22:26 Perfect.
22:27 Poetry really is what it is.
22:29 It's like, you know, Shakespeare, but like, you know, better.
22:35 Take that, Shakespeare.
22:36 Ah, the humility of Stephen Larson.
22:39 Okay, well, let's just start.
22:42 Let's start at Fastlane then.
22:45 Fastlane is it, boys?
22:46 Fastlane.
22:47 Yes.
22:48 It's like, "Oh, we're going to have to do this before WrestleMania."
22:49 Look, man, Nick Khan is like, "We have to elevate all these other pay-per-views.
22:53 They all have to do better than each other."
22:55 So it's like Fastlane at, like, Allegiance Day, and it's like 60,000 people strong at
22:58 Fastlane.
22:59 It's like, "Wow, look at the money we're bringing in."
23:00 They're really starting WrestleMania a month early.
23:03 You know, like, this last year, we had the kickoff show pretty much on SmackDown.
23:06 It's a month-long WrestleMania now, virtually.
23:09 I mean, hell, the Shield triple threat was at Battleground, so that's the universe we
23:13 live in, right?
23:14 What I really like about this booking is, like, there's a lot of character details in
23:19 the match.
23:20 Like, I think it's very interesting.
23:22 Like, Lost Intangibles, way more about the kind of the character set-up, like, the character
23:25 in the set-up, and you guys, like, have these kind of, like, "I'm sorry, I love you" moments,
23:29 which I'm always, like, a big sucker for.
23:31 Like, those are the moments that I kind of really look for in a booking, for sure.
23:35 I will say, having Big E put his Royal Rumble title shot on the line is a step too far for
23:45 me personally, but, like, that thing, like, the Xavier Woods, like, Big E, Superman holding
23:51 Supergirl is, that is something of a chef kiss.
23:55 Yeah, there's a lot of overbooking in sort of, like, the WrestleMania aspect of it, but
24:02 I do like the fact that it was brought back to "Yo, Us, we forfeit."
24:07 And that, and, like, having actual kind of friendship and family being the thing that
24:13 motivates the Usos on their story to redemption, I think that is very, very thematically neat.
24:21 If there was a kind of a few, that's just fast lane, guys.
24:25 I can't get over it.
24:27 Lost Intangibles, I will let you step in and give your thoughts.
24:31 I thought it was a really good booking of Big E's Universal title win.
24:35 Oh, that is, Pete, that is so passive aggressive.
24:40 Like, it felt like the triple threat was a diversion along the way of Big E's journey
24:44 than it was a booking of the triple threat, if that makes sense.
24:47 It's a fast lane, guys.
24:48 Come on.
24:49 Yeah, it's great.
24:50 It's the paper route before WrestleMania.
24:51 Big E sure is, yeah.
24:52 I had the same thought, though.
25:00 You know, we can look back on the Shield Battleground triple threat match and kind of laugh at it
25:06 for it being at Battleground, but I don't think there's a whole lot of people who would
25:10 go back and not put that match on SummerSlam or WrestleMania at that point if we could
25:16 do it again.
25:17 So, putting it on fast lane is a bit of an odd step, but I love the "Yo, Us, we forfeit"
25:24 mention.
25:25 That, to me, I think was like the best callback of the whole video because that is so real.
25:29 And a moment that everyone loved at the time, too.
25:32 I'll say I actually think that putting these two back to back, I think they are the strongest
25:37 pair of bookings.
25:38 So, I really think it's interesting that you guys did the...
25:42 You had Big E's title win in order to feed the New Day triple threat.
25:47 You guys had the New Day triple threat in order to feed Big E's.
25:51 Big E losing his Money in the Bank cash-in.
25:54 I mean, don't get me wrong, because obviously this is a fantasy world where you guys had
25:57 that long-term plan.
25:58 But, oh my God, oh, people are going to be so upset.
26:02 But then it feeding into a Royal Rumble win and onto then WrestleMania.
26:08 I could see what Lost and Tandem will say, that you kind of almost...
26:11 The New Day triple threat is almost an afterthought, whereas it was that the briefers booked the
26:17 New Day triple threat, not a storyline featuring a New Day triple threat.
26:22 But then again, you did...
26:23 I think you had a bit more emotion in there, a bit more of these kind of moments where
26:27 it's easier to kind of understand that, yeah, people will properly...
26:30 Like emotionally invested storytelling.
26:33 So genuinely, I've had favorites in past videos, but I don't know how to call this one.
26:40 But thankfully, I don't have to, because you're the authority here, PFK Universe.
