00:03 LeBron's just knocked off the San Francisco 49ers
00:12 by a final score of 19 to 17.
00:14 And there's certainly justifiably
00:15 a lot of conversation around LeBron's defense.
00:18 But Anthony, I think we would be doing a disservice
00:21 to LeBron's effort today if we didn't point out
00:24 how well Amari Cooper played.
00:26 Eight targets, four catches for 108 yards.
00:29 He had two standout plays in particular.
00:31 One of them was the big 58-yard catch,
00:34 where he just completely torched the defensive back,
00:37 made a great move, and raced into open field.
00:41 It was a good athletic play, but the better catch
00:44 was his leaping effort, toe tap grab on the sideline
00:51 over two defenders that I still have no idea how he caught.
00:55 How you can do that?
00:55 And I believe that one was on third down, if I remember
00:59 correctly.
00:59 It may or may not have been.
01:01 Regardless, that was--
01:03 I love Amari.
01:04 I love Amari Cooper.
01:06 He is everything you want in a line receiver.
01:08 He sticks his nose in there on the run game.
01:11 He'll put his nose in there and block.
01:13 But his hands are so darn reliable.
01:15 I mean, if there's ever a point in the game where you're like,
01:18 hey, we need a pinch, like they were.
01:20 There was a couple today where they were in a pinch.
01:22 You're going to number two.
01:23 The slant he caught, it was a perfect ball by PJ.
01:26 Put it right in the two.
01:28 But just like every time the ball is going towards him,
01:31 you have this weird sense of comfort.
01:32 Like he's going to come down with it.
01:33 And like that one up the sidelines.
01:35 And then he goes up with two hands, goes up and gets it.
01:38 And it was just like, dang, he is so darn good.
01:41 He is just a I'm going to put my nose down and go to work
01:44 kind of a guy.
01:45 And that's got to be your favorite kind of dude.
01:47 Nobody else for the Browns had more than 24 receiving yards.
01:50 Hunt, three catches for 24 yards.
01:52 Najoku today, three catches for 24 yards.
01:55 So obviously, when you have two big plays like that,
01:58 you're going to rack up some yardage.
01:59 But it also goes to the trust factor.
02:01 Nobody caught more passes than Cooper.
02:03 Nobody was targeted more than Cooper.
02:05 And on a day where the Browns were playing
02:07 with a third string quarterback, you
02:10 need your best receiver to be an outlet that he can lean on.
02:15 Absolutely.
02:15 I said it earlier in the week.
02:16 There's a story earlier in the week.
02:18 Your stars have to be stars.
02:19 And especially in a game when your star isn't
02:22 playing quarterback.
02:24 Your guy, you're coming in with the back of the practice bar
02:26 guy who's done it in the league a little bit,
02:29 but just hasn't had success.
02:31 Your stars have to be stars.
02:33 And Amari Cooper is a star of the team.
02:34 And when the Browns called his number, he showed up.
02:38 And I think the title of this show says that.
02:40 I mean, or the title of this clip says that.
02:42 He is a total freak, man.
02:43 He is so good at playing wide receiver.
02:45 And he's such a good guy to have on your team.
02:47 Yeah, Amari Cooper, a big day for the Browns,
02:49 helping lift them past the previously unbeaten San
02:52 Francisco 49ers undefeated no more.
02:55 1917, the final, the Browns drove down the field,
02:59 kicked a couple of field goals to go from a 17-13 deficit,
03:03 17-16, ultimately to 19-17.
03:07 And they survived a missed field goal from Jake Moody.
03:10 But it was enough.
03:11 And in large part, certainly thanks to the defense,
03:14 but also thanks to Amari Cooper.
