00:00 (soft music)
00:02 - You know, in hindsight, I wish I wouldn't have said that.
00:09 I was upset, but we talked it through afterwards
00:13 and I'm really proud of the move that she made.
00:15 The character that I believed at the time
00:17 that she had shown was that she would put up someone
00:21 that really had her back this entire game.
00:24 And I don't mean just in a gameplay standpoint,
00:27 I mean that I truly looked after her
00:30 and was really there for her in really rough moments
00:33 that she had with her own Alliance members
00:35 to include Izzy and Felicia
00:36 and the way that they treated her sometimes.
00:38 You know, I took her in every point of the game with me.
00:41 I never left her behind.
00:43 I gave her trust and I told her every move that I was making
00:48 even the times when I was leaving her out of the moves
00:50 that I was making, there was a reason
00:51 and I told her she understood it.
00:53 So whenever she put me up, what she showed the house
00:56 was that she'll put up anyone, she'll do anything
00:59 as long as it's gonna get her another week
01:01 or another favorability with another house guest
01:04 or whatever.
01:05 So I know that the words were taken harshly by her
01:08 and I apologized to her for that.
01:11 What I meant was, she'll do whatever it takes.
01:15 And I think that she showed everyone that.
01:18 I think that at a certain point,
01:22 everyone was just ready for me to go.
01:25 It was agreed upon by both sides of the house,
01:29 whatever, however many sides of the house
01:30 you wanna paint that there were.
01:32 I believe that at a certain point, everyone goes,
01:34 all right, he's had his run, he's had his fun.
01:36 Let's get this dude out of here
01:37 and see if we can actually play some game
01:39 without him in here.
01:40 So as much as I wanted to make a run,
01:42 I tried at multiple angles and nothing stuck,
01:47 which basically told me, end of the road.
01:49 If I remember specifically the times
01:54 that I was targeting Sari,
01:55 it wasn't that I was targeting her.
01:57 If I wanted to target her,
01:57 I would have put her on the block early on.
01:59 What I did wanna do was target the entire alliance
02:01 as a whole.
02:02 She was the head of what I considered a core group
02:05 and I wanted to dismantle it.
02:08 I wanted to take apart all the pieces of it.
02:10 You can't just cut the head off the snake.
02:13 So I had to take pieces of it apart.
02:15 So she might've been my focus, but she wasn't my target.
02:18 She was just the leader of the group
02:19 that I knew needed to be taken down.
02:21 And I had to start with Izzy.
02:22 And eventually Jared got taken there
02:25 and I knew that Felicia needed to go.
02:27 And that was my target for my third HOA train.
02:31 Didn't work out.
02:32 They took down Mimi instead.
02:33 I wanted Mimi to stay around a little while,
02:35 but I didn't have an opportunity to vote that week.
02:37 So that's how it went down.
02:39 And I knew that Sari eventually was gonna be the last one.
02:41 And I actually, at a certain point,
02:44 she turned into even more of a friend
02:46 than I had remembered her being for me and being a mentor.
02:49 So my focus shifted from wanting to target her
02:52 and get her out and do really bad things
02:55 to there's an opportunity to work with Sari.
02:58 Jared turned out to be one of my really good friends
03:01 in the house.
03:02 And that was the only request that he made of me
03:04 on his departure, being who I am.
03:07 And I said, I'm gonna do something.
03:09 I was gonna do it.
03:09 So leaving the house, the last piece of advice
03:12 or any kind of thing that I could give her,
03:14 that was the least that I could do to honor my buddy Jared
03:18 and to give back to Sari,
03:19 who had given me so many kinds of words of mentorship
03:22 and advice as well.
03:23 Oh, my biggest mistake in the game
03:26 wasn't a particular move or shift.
03:29 It was exactly what I've talked about
03:31 when Sari gave me my biggest piece of advice,
03:33 which was you don't have to tell people
03:37 what you think about other people.
03:38 So my biggest flaw in the game was the fact
03:41 that I spoke to freely on occasion with specific people
03:46 with the understanding that certain words
03:47 weren't gonna go beyond our conversation.
03:50 It wasn't that they turned around
03:51 and told someone else immediately.
03:52 It was just that their view of me changed
03:55 once I spoke on a particular topic.
03:58 And once you speak on that
04:00 and someone's perception of you changes,
04:03 you can't put that back in the bottle.
04:05 So that was my biggest flaw, was just speaking to freely.
04:07 If I had that to do all over again,
04:09 if I get an opportunity to run this thing back
04:11 and go play all stars,
04:12 that will be the biggest part of my game
04:14 that I'll change up.
04:15 Oh, the second time getting evicted
04:17 was absolutely the worst because I knew it was final.
04:20 First time going out, granted,
04:22 I didn't have the transmission decoded by that time,
04:26 but the fact that I had not had it decoded
04:29 meant that something was waiting on me
04:30 outside of the house.
04:31 So I knew that whenever I got evicted the first time,
04:33 I was probably gonna have an opportunity
04:34 to come back in as a battle back or anything like that.
04:36 So I was a little bit more calm
04:39 leaving the house the first time.
04:40 The second time I was like, this is it.
04:42 But at least I'm going to jury.
04:43 I made it to that point,
04:44 and I was proud of the benchmark that I made
04:46 and proud of the mark that I believe I made on the game
04:49 and the impression that I hopefully had with the fans.
04:52 (whooshing)
