00:00 And thank you to Google Pixel 6 for sponsoring a portion of this video.
00:03 Hi guys, it's so nice to meet you. I'm Michelle.
00:06 My name is Brandon Alvis from A&E's Ghost Hunters. I've been investigating since 2006.
00:11 I'm Craig Owens. I'm the author of Haunted by History, volume one.
00:15 My name's Kevin. I've been investigating for 12, 13 years, kind of all over Midwest, West Coast.
00:20 I'm a ghost skeptic, but I am terrified of horror. I just watched Squid Game and I haven't slept in
00:27 a week. Like I did not sleep last night at all. I am very easily scared.
00:31 It'll be interesting to see what happens tonight because you never know in places like these.
00:37 So welcome to the Warner Grand Theater. It actually opened on January 20th, 1931,
00:48 right during the Great Depression. What makes this special is that this one was the first
00:52 Warner Brothers theater to actually be built for talking pictures. Tonight, we're going to show
00:58 Michelle a real paranormal investigation. It has a strong emphasis on scientific principles,
01:05 and we're going to use devices that are more scientific in nature.
01:09 So this is what they call K2 meter. Okay.
01:12 And this picks up electromagnetic energy. And we use this to see if there's EMF in a place,
01:16 just to know if there's any natural things anywhere.
01:18 EMF stands for electromagnetic frequencies or electromagnetic fields. It's something that is
01:23 all throughout the world, not only naturally, but through manmade devices.
01:27 The higher an EMF gets, the more your lights are going to light up and they'll change colors. So
01:32 if you put a cell phone against it or something, it'll start lighting up because it'll pick up
01:35 that energy. So like if I use... Oh, there it goes.
01:40 So you can see how it lights up. Okay.
01:41 Let's get to the very first paranormal hotspot. Okay.
01:45 This area right here has numerous reports from not only employees that have worked here,
01:51 but some people that have scouted. Is that spiking?
01:53 Yeah, it's about to hit a little. Oh, you're feeling it. You're seeing it.
01:55 It's been three minutes. You're already getting it.
01:59 But if you notice it's consistent, it's not fluctuating that much. And so this means that
02:04 it's not supernatural, it's natural. And it could be wiring underneath.
02:09 Some people are way more susceptible to EMF. So that can make you even hallucinate at times,
02:14 skin rashes, nausea, high heart rate. Headaches.
02:17 Sweating. Could the ghost stories be associated with that?
02:20 Maybe. Or is it possible that this high EMF that's in this building is giving fuel to possible
02:26 entities? That's something you could look at it from both sides.
02:28 So there could be like... This could be just like a big food trough.
02:32 Here right now. Yeah.
02:33 It's like a big delicatessen for ghosts. Okay. Shall we continue?
02:40 I personally love historic buildings because there's a romanticism to the past. It's like
02:47 time travel. I want to relive those times. I want to hear those sounds. I want to meet those people.
02:54 And in this case, I want to see those movies. Maybe the past isn't quite as dead as we're
03:00 told that it is. And that maybe there's a memory or maybe there's a personality from the past
03:06 that's still lingering. Some other people have claimed to have seen like a really darting,
03:11 maybe shadow figure. It comes from one of the wings and it shoots up to the projection booth.
03:17 Projection booth? Yes.
03:20 So is that the projectionist ghost then? I will say I do get a sense of someone
03:26 or something watching us from that area.
03:27 So here we are in the projection booth. Oh my gosh.
03:34 There was a long time projectionist here. His last name was Lord and that's all I know.
03:39 Mr. Lord. Okay. But he died about 10 years ago and he supposedly isn't here all the time,
03:47 but he loved the space and he checks in periodically. There was a paranormal team.
03:51 They did an investigation and I saw the video footage and it looked authentic enough to me.
03:58 A spool apparently flew off of a shelf and like hit a wall. It was a spool about maybe that big.
04:06 And over here is an additional room to the projection. So Craig, you said Mr. Lord,
04:11 right? So no one's actually used that name in an investigation here?
04:15 That is correct. So your first investigation,
04:17 your first time here, I think it's only fitting that you do it.
04:20 And hopefully he'll answer you back. Okay. Cool.
04:24 Did anyone just hear that? You didn't hear that?
04:27 Was it? Straight up sounded like something dragged
04:33 on the floor and I heard like a deep breath like, oh really?
04:36 You didn't, you guys didn't hear that? Seriously?
04:38 I didn't hear it. But then again, I have tinnitus.
04:41 So now let's kill the lights and get the investigation started.
04:47 Okay. But before we begin the investigation,
04:54 I want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to Google Pixel 6 for sponsoring this portion of
04:59 the video. The brand new Google Pixel 6 comes with a ton of new features, but I got to say the new
05:03 camera software in this phone is really what sold it for me. So paranormal investigations require a
05:08 lot of footage captured and footage review. So we've been using the Pixel 6 as another tool to
05:12 help capture more footage and photo memories along the way. The Google Pixel 6 takes it to the next
05:16 level with tools like magic eraser to clean up any unwanted subjects that may have popped up in
05:22 your pic. It's pretty awesome. And the face on blur feature keeps your face in focus, even when
05:27 you're moving fast. If you want to check one out for yourself, be sure to click the link in my
05:30 description. And thank you again so much to Google Pixel 6 for sponsoring this portion of the video.
05:34 All right, let's begin the investigation.
05:36 I'll let you lead the way, Kevin. Are you ready? Here we go.
05:42 So one thing that's worked for us in the past, specifically with theaters,
05:48 is to kind of just set up a few devices on the stage and we kind of just give some space
05:52 and we start a dialogue. So this is called a Paralight. So this is an EMF detector,
05:56 similar to the one you have in your hand there, both. But this one's a little different because...
06:00 Oh my god, I love it. Oh my gosh, it's like Vegas.
06:04 Isn't it? It sounds like Vegas. But again, why it's spiking so much now is because,
06:08 like earlier, this is an area with a lot of EMF. So this is an EDI+. What I refer to as the
06:13 Swiss Army Knife of the paranormal. And what this does is it registers temperature, pressure,
06:18 humidity, vibration, and EMF. So what we'll do is we'll have this Paralight here. We'll set up this
06:23 EDI+ as well. And you just pick a spot you think is comfortable. And then we'll all kind of spread
06:28 out and we'll start a session. One thing that we always do is we want to show respect to not only
06:37 the building, but to the possible entities that may be here. So I'll start off saying,
06:41 my name is Brandon. I come here with the fullest respect for yourself and this theater. Talk about
06:46 what your intentions are here. Just kind of get a familiarity with the space. Okay.
06:51 Hello. My name is Michelle. I come in peace. And I am here just to
07:04 leave here with a better understanding of who or what you are.
07:13 If you're here with us, can you show us?
07:18 We come here to learn about you, about your story,
07:27 what connection you may have to this theater, and anything you want to let us know.
07:32 Those days are gone.
07:39 Those devices can detect your presence and we can possibly have a conversation with you.
07:45 They are not meant to harm you. They will not harm you.
07:48 We just want to use these as tools to try and have a conversation with you.
08:04 Just so we know if that was you, the one with the pink light on it, can you make it go all the way
08:09 up to the top? Can you get close enough to make the lights change colors all the way up to the top?
08:15 Try a little bit harder.
08:19 Oh, dude.
08:24 It went halfway up that time.
08:26 Can you do it one more time for me? Just so we know, one more time.
08:31 Can you do it one more time for me? Just so we know, one more time.
08:34 Give it all you got and see how high you can make those lights go.
08:37 You guys aren't doing anything.
08:45 No, we're not.
08:46 No, we would never, ever, ever try and do something like that.
08:49 And his phone can't be setting it up.
08:51 No, like I showed you.
08:52 You notice since we haven't been asking questions, it hasn't went off.
08:55 If it was his phone, it would be going off the entire time.
08:58 It's one thing that's interesting, we haven't established who we're talking to yet.
09:03 How would you figure that out?
09:04 You got to keep a line of questioning. We call it control questions.
09:07 For instance, we can ask, if you're a female, can you make that device blink again?
09:12 So kind of this sets up a...
09:17 What? What the [ __ ] is that?
09:21 Oh my god.
09:23 It was loud.
09:24 That was something slamming, huh?
09:25 That came from up there.
09:26 It sounded like a set piece fell over.
09:28 That's what it sounded like.
09:29 It sounded like a set wall or a piece of wood.
09:30 All this is going off again here too.
09:31 It was really, really high up.
09:32 Like, I say we stay in this session for sure.
09:36 Because we can go find that, you know.
09:38 But another thing that we've noticed with certain investigations,
09:40 if things are happening in one area, it feels like something can draw you
09:43 into a separate area, you know.
09:46 Did something bad happen to you here?
09:50 Is this a happy place for you?
09:58 There you go.
09:59 Michelle, ask them if they know Lord.
10:01 Oh, that was weird.
10:04 Oh, that was weird.
10:05 Is this Mr. Lord?
10:07 It booped really high.
10:09 We're going to do an EVP burst session.
10:11 So basically, we're going to start recording.
10:13 We're going to ask maybe two or three questions and then play it back to see if we got any type of response on it.
10:18 So EVP is electronic voice phonation.
10:21 So we're going to record the EVP.
10:22 We're going to play it back.
10:23 We're going to ask the question.
10:24 We're going to ask the question.
10:25 We're going to ask the question.
10:26 We're going to ask the question.
10:27 We're going to ask the question.
10:28 We're going to ask the question.
10:29 We're going to ask the question.
10:30 We're going to ask the question.
10:31 We're going to ask the question.
10:32 We're going to ask the question.
10:33 We're going to ask the question.
10:34 We're going to ask the question.
10:35 We're going to ask the question.
10:36 We're going to ask the question.
10:39 We're going to ask the question.
10:41 We're going to ask the question.
10:42 We're going to ask the question.
10:43 We're going to ask the question.
10:44 We're going to ask the question.
10:46 We're going to ask the question.
10:47 We're going to ask the question.
10:48 We're going to ask the question.
10:49 We're going to ask the question.
10:51 We're going to ask the question.
10:52 We're going to ask the question.
10:53 We're going to ask the question.
10:54 We're going to ask the question.
10:56 We're going to ask the question.
10:57 We're going to ask the question.
10:58 We're going to ask the question.
11:00 We're going to ask the question.
11:01 We're going to ask the question.
11:02 We're going to ask the question.
11:04 We're going to ask the question.
11:05 We're going to ask the question.
11:06 We're going to ask the question.
11:07 We're going to ask the question.
11:09 We're going to ask the question.
11:10 We're going to ask the question.
11:11 We're going to ask the question.
11:12 We're going to ask the question.
11:14 We're going to ask the question.
11:15 We're going to ask the question.
11:16 We're going to ask the question.
11:18 We're going to ask the question.
11:19 We're going to ask the question.
11:20 We're going to ask the question.
11:21 We're going to ask the question.
11:23 We're going to ask the question.
11:24 We're going to ask the question.
11:25 We're going to ask the question.
11:26 We're going to ask the question.
11:28 We're going to ask the question.
11:29 We're going to ask the question.
11:30 We're going to ask the question.
11:32 We're going to ask the question.
11:33 I feel like a breath, kind of.
11:34 Really?
11:35 Yeah.
11:37 Oh, yeah, I heard that.
11:38 Right there.
11:39 And that couldn't have been us breathing?
11:41 I don't think so.
11:42 Can you hear that?
11:42 The pressure and temperature change right there?
11:45 And EMF?
11:45 Damn, it's going crazy.
11:48 Oh.
11:49 Yep.
11:51 That way.
11:52 Hey, if you're back there, can you come forward?
11:54 If you want us to move and try a different area,
12:00 can you make that light up even higher?
12:02 Holy [BLEEP]
12:08 So are we moving on?
12:09 Yeah, let's do it.
12:10 What do you think?
12:11 That was really bizarre.
12:13 That big crash.
12:14 That big crash is weird.
12:15 We need to find out what that was.
12:16 Yeah, absolutely.
12:19 Spirit boxes scan through radio frequencies.
12:21 And it's said the spirits are able to manipulate
12:23 the white noise and be able to answer questions and speak
12:27 words through it.
12:27 [BELLS RINGING]
12:31 We'll pull this chair up here.
12:34 And we're going to set you right here.
12:37 So what we're going to do, we're going to plug the earphones
12:39 into the spirit box.
12:41 And so you're going to be listening to that just white
12:43 noise, just ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch.
12:45 And we're going to blindfold you.
12:48 And you're going to sit--
12:49 Don't we're going to touch me, right?
12:51 You're going to sit here.
12:52 And we're actually going to step right down there.
12:54 We're going to ask questions.
12:56 And we want you to say out loud any voices or sentences
13:00 or words you hear come over the spirit box.
13:02 I'm not a big fan of it.
13:04 I'm very skeptical.
13:05 It's all radio frequencies.
13:06 So any time you use this device, if you
13:08 were to take that to a third party, say an audio engineer,
13:11 it would be declared contaminated.
13:13 So I'm skeptical.
13:14 But I think we'll do some pretty cool tests with it here tonight.
13:17 Michelle.
13:17 God, this is so freaky.
13:19 Can you hear us?
13:22 OK, good.
13:25 So right now, we have Michelle sitting
13:27 in this room in this chair.
13:29 Can you go up and tell her what your name is?
13:32 Do you see Michelle?
13:35 If you can see Michelle in the chair--
13:40 It was like someone saying, oh, no.
13:52 But it was like pitched.
13:53 It was like, oh, no.
13:56 It's very overwhelming to just be listening to the whooshing.
14:00 And it's very loud.
14:01 And then out of nowhere, you hear a voice or something.
14:05 It's just really freaky.
14:07 Remember, you need to communicate
14:09 through Michelle, the woman with the mask,
14:14 because we cannot hear you.
14:16 But Michelle can.
14:19 If you're next to her, can you tap her on the shoulder?
14:22 How can you let her know that you're here?
14:27 Oh, my god.
14:29 Uh, it was a male voice, almost, like just
14:33 came through super clear.
14:35 Say again.
14:36 Are you here alone?
14:42 Is there something we can help you with?
14:46 [MUSIC PLAYING]
14:50 I don't know that we should go on too much longer.
14:53 Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
14:55 Is there anything you want to tell her before we
14:58 go shut the machine off?
14:59 Ah!
15:03 Uh, it was a female voice, like agreeing.
15:09 There is something else you want to tell us?
15:11 [MUSIC PLAYING]
15:14 What do you want us to know?
15:22 You might want to cut it, Kevin.
15:24 Know what I mean?
15:25 That's enough.
15:26 Can I take this off now?
15:27 Yeah.
15:28 Yes.
15:29 Oh, my god.
15:31 Did anything happen?
15:32 We asked that there was anything you wanted
15:34 to tell us before we left.
15:35 That's when you heard the last female voice, like right
15:38 after I had asked that question.
15:40 So what was your overall impression?
15:42 Did you think these voices were radio frequencies
15:45 coming in blips and pieces?
15:48 I think they probably were.
15:51 But there was that, like, transatlantic '50s, like, tone.
15:57 Something that would not be on the radio in 2021.
16:00 And there was no music.
16:02 I don't know, you know, like, how in the movies,
16:05 people from the '50s, like, sound a certain way?
16:07 Cinderella sound of voice?
16:09 Yeah, yeah.
16:10 The very pleasantry that you talked about earlier.
16:13 But yeah, I could see, like, it's sort of, like,
16:15 inconclusive.
16:15 Right.
16:16 What you can draw from that.
16:17 Oh, very much so.
16:18 Yeah.
16:19 Very much so.
16:20 And it may not mean anything in the end.
16:22 I'm really curious to see how responsive
16:24 the projection room is.
16:26 We can go there next.
16:27 Yeah.
16:28 OK.
16:29 The constant feeling of being watched,
16:32 kind of everywhere we went, was a little unnerving.
16:34 A lot of places felt heavy.
16:39 You get a different vibe up here now, huh?
16:40 A little bit.
16:41 It does feel heavier.
16:42 It does.
16:43 So we know the name of the man who used to work here,
16:48 who passed away 10 years ago.
16:49 And it's never been used in a paranormal investigation.
16:53 For the greatest effect possible,
16:56 should we turn off all of our camera lights
16:59 and just be in the dark for a bit?
17:02 We could, yeah.
17:03 Absolutely.
17:08 Can you see us, Daniel?
17:09 Yeah, I can.
17:10 All right, so we're up here in the projection room.
17:13 My name is Brandon.
17:15 We come here with the fullest respect
17:17 for yourself in this theater.
17:19 And we think we possibly know your name.
17:21 We'd like to speak with you.
17:24 I understand that you really loved this place.
17:27 And I'm going to leave it to Michelle
17:33 to ask you about your name.
17:36 Hello.
17:37 I'm Michelle.
17:38 I'm a big movie fan.
17:41 So it's really wonderful to be in your space.
17:46 We'd love to know if you're here with us.
17:48 If you're here, Mr. Lord, please let us know.
18:06 You all right?
18:07 Yes.
18:08 Mr. Lord, the general manager of this theater
18:20 only knew your last name.
18:25 We would like to know what your first name is,
18:27 or what name do you like to go by?
18:29 [CREAKING]
18:33 I kind of get the feeling like something's here,
18:45 but it's just standing back observing.
18:48 I can see why there was someone up here.
18:50 You know, you can see why they would be up here.
18:52 Whoa, that just flew off the stage.
18:54 Oh my god.
18:54 What was that?
18:55 What was that?
18:56 What the [BLEEP] just flew off the stage?
18:58 I saw it move.
18:59 I swear to god, I looked over there on the stage.
19:01 Right there, that big-ass pillar.
19:03 See it?
19:04 I saw that.
19:04 Holy [BLEEP]
19:05 I swear to god, I saw that move.
19:07 Oh my god.
19:07 We have to go down there.
19:08 Let's go.
19:09 Oh my god, it's coming on my [BLEEP] face.
19:12 Dude, I saw it actually go down.
19:13 Did any of you guys touch it when we were down there?
19:15 Nobody's been down there for a long time.
19:17 What the actual hell, dude?
19:18 Anybody here?
19:19 We're coming down.
19:27 That was the first time I've ever seen something move like
19:31 with my own eyes.
19:32 I've never seen that before.
19:34 I kept feeling like something was down there
19:36 whenever we were up there.
19:37 Look, there's another one looking
19:41 like it would have fallen too had it not been caught.
19:44 Feel how heavy that is.
19:45 Feel that.
19:46 Oh my god.
19:47 OK.
19:48 We're impressed.
19:50 We're very impressed.
19:51 The falling linoleum was 120 pounds,
19:55 according to the employee that works here.
19:58 Even when I leave it like this, straight up,
20:00 it's leaning back.
20:02 And look at this.
20:03 Even when I pull on it a little bit,
20:04 it still rocks back that way.
20:06 Wind couldn't have done that.
20:07 You know what I mean?
20:08 And there is none.
20:09 And it most likely would have fallen back.
20:11 What the hell, man?
20:12 Are you a believer now?
20:15 I don't know what's going on.
20:18 What if we split up?
20:21 That's how every horror movie starts, Craig.
20:23 Come on!
20:25 In the paranormal world, you're lucky that something
20:29 like this happened.
20:31 Believers and non-believers share one thing in common.
20:35 They see and hear what they want to see and hear.
20:39 And somewhere between the two is where the truth is.
20:43 Thank you guys so much for being here with me.
20:46 Pleasure.
20:47 Truly an honor to learn from and witness you guys in action.
20:51 And thanks for letting me tag along.
20:53 I'm never going to sleep again,
20:54 and I'll see you guys next time.
20:56 Bye!
