Aurukun hosts its second ever NAIDOC youth ball with glitz and glamour on display throughout the town

Elders and young people are being celebrated in a remote indigenous community through the annual NAIDOC ball. Guests and outfits travelled hundreds of kilometres for the gathering which many hope will also raise the esteem of teenagers and the town.
