The sole power plant of the Gaza Strip will reportedly run out of fuel within 10-12 hours, putting the region's 2 million inhabitants at risk of a complete electricity blackout. Israel has launched a "complete siege" of the Gaza Strip, disrupting fuel, water, electricity, and food supplies, in retaliation for attacks carried out by Palestinian militant group Hamas over the weekend. At least 1,200 Israelis have been killed so far since the Israel-Hamas conflict began over the weekend, according to Israeli authorities, with more than 2,700 others wounded. Around 900 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip. Israeli forces say they have killed around 1,000 infiltrators from the Gaza Strip since the Hamas attacks over the weekend. Israel has gained control over the border with Gaza.
