00:00 Hey, what's up everybody? It's Fabs here and it's that time of the week,
00:03 Waiver Wire Tuesday. And with that,
00:06 Jen Piacenzi of course from Sports Illustrated Fantasy and betting is on the
00:11 call. Jen,
00:13 let's talk about some of the top players to add off the waiver wire this week,
00:17 starting with the quarterback position and an old veteran who could help you in
00:21 week six.
00:22 That veteran of course is Matt Stafford who now has all of his weapons back.
00:28 It was great to see Cooper cut back in action and it's clear he is still the top
00:33 dog, but now Matt Stafford has a ton of young talent all around him.
00:38 Tutu Atwell, Pukanukuwa, Kyron Williams,
00:40 and he's still got good study Tyler Higby as well.
00:44 But perhaps even more importantly this week,
00:46 his matchup is with the Arizona Cardinals who have allowed the fourth most
00:50 fantasy points and the fourth most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks.
00:55 Meanwhile, Matt Stafford has the fourth most passing yards in the NFL.
00:59 So it is a match made in heaven. Pick up Matt Stafford,
01:02 especially if you're streaming this weekend.
01:03 Yeah.
01:04 Sam Howell could also still be floating around there on the waiver wire after his
01:08 big game last week against the Bears. Next up,
01:10 the running back position and the Chicago Bears have a couple of options there
01:14 that fantasy managers might want to pick up.
01:17 So I'm putting Rashawn Johnson as the priority here. Now bear in mind,
01:21 he has a concussion, but because the game was played on Thursday last week,
01:24 he has a pretty good chance of returning this Sunday. Rashawn Johnson is someone
01:28 we would have all heard a lot more about coming into the season if he hadn't been
01:32 stuck behind a running back named Bijan Robinson at UT.
01:36 Rashawn is very talented. He's been averaging 4.9 yards per carry.
01:41 He's caught 11 of his 12 targets this season.
01:43 And the fact is Herbert's going to be out for a few weeks.
01:46 Donta Foreman has been a healthy scratch in four games this season already.
01:51 So yes, he will be involved in the game plan moving forward.
01:55 But unless Rashawn Johnson is out, I'm not starting him as a preference.
02:00 I'm taking Rashawn Johnson first. So keep your eye on that.
02:02 But in deeper leagues, Donta Foreman is also an add.
02:04 Yeah, I think Foreman should be added across the board too.
02:07 A really good matchup coming up this week against Minnesota.
02:10 And you know, with the concussions, I know he'll have some extra time,
02:13 but sometimes those can be a bit tricky,
02:16 which could leave Foreman as the lead back.
02:18 So make sure you keep tabs on the status of the Bears running backs.
02:21 And then another name, Amare Demarcado in Arizona.
02:25 I'm not even sure if I pronounced his name correctly, but you get the gist.
02:27 James kind of hurt his knee.
02:29 Demarcado could end up being the guy for the Cardinals against the Rams.
02:33 Now moving on to the wide receiver position
02:35 and you're targeting a player who was on a bye last week.
02:38 Yeah, and that's a lot of the reason why we're targeting him.
02:41 He may have been dropped and people were making moves last week
02:44 or maybe he just wasn't picked up.
02:46 I think he's about 41% rostered.
02:48 So I understand it's a little less likely that he's available.
02:50 But Joshua Palmer is the guy I have my eye on this week,
02:54 even though he's facing the Cowboys.
02:57 We wanted to know what they would do in the absence of Mike Williams.
03:00 And Joshua Palmer answered that call two weeks ago
03:02 when he led the team in targets.
03:04 And he also caught three of those targets for 77 yards.
03:07 So we know Keenan Allen is still going to be the top guy.
03:10 But maybe Joshua Palmer slides right into that wide receiver to spot.
03:14 And the fact is, this Kellen Moore offense is vertical and juicy,
03:19 and he's got one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
03:21 So I like prioritizing Palmer this week if available.
03:24 Of course, if not, you know, you can go a little further down the list.
03:27 You can look at Wondell Robinson.
03:29 Maybe Jameson Williams is available.
03:31 DJ Chart could be out there.
03:32 There's quite a few guys, but no one really, really exciting.
03:35 Josh Downs is certainly interesting, especially if Gardner Minshew
03:38 takes over at quarterback, which he should be at least for the next few weeks
03:42 because we are not getting good news about Anthony Richardson.
03:44 Yeah, Rasheed Rice also out there in a lot of leagues.
03:48 And if Justin Jefferson's hamstring injury keeps him out, K.J.
03:51 Osborne is a really good play this week at tight end.
03:55 Logan Thomas had a massive game last week against the Chicago Bears.
03:59 He is the top at that position, Jen.
04:02 Yeah, Logan Thomas has made our list before.
04:04 And last week, I think I said he hasn't scored fewer than seven
04:07 PPR points in any game he's played.
04:09 Well, that held true this week.
04:11 Instead, he scored 21 and was the tight end for heading into Monday night football.
04:16 He's actually the tight end nine now for this season,
04:20 even though he's only played four games.
04:22 What's so interesting about Thomas is that he has the second highest
04:26 target share for the Washington Commanders, even though they have
04:28 plenty of able pass catchers.
04:30 So I like Thomas.
04:32 He actually also leads the commanders with receiving touchdowns.
04:35 He has a pair.
04:37 The other receivers only have one a piece.
04:39 Good matchup this week, too, against Atlanta.
04:42 So pick up Logan Thomas.
04:43 John O'Smith also could be out there on the waiver wire.
04:46 Jen, you are the best with the best information as always.
04:50 So, folks, those are the players you should be targeting ahead of week six
04:53 for all of your fantasy football needs, including waiver wire, DFS player props
04:58 from the princess of props and start them and sit them.
