00:02 - Well it may be a sweltering day on Table Rock Lake,
00:18 but this is a very cool ride.
00:19 I'm Randy Vance on Yarkraft 210 TFX.
00:23 This is a tournament ready, upcountry walleye fishing boat
00:26 with great horsepower of 300 horsepower mercury.
00:29 And I wanna walk you through it right now,
00:31 so come on aboard.
00:32 (upbeat music)
00:35 Now the nice thing about a walleye or a multi-species boat
00:46 is the big, tall helm station
00:48 and the windshield that wraps around the cockpit.
00:50 That's because these boats tend to be used
00:52 in bad weather and cold northern climates.
00:55 This dashboard will hold a 16 inch display.
00:58 You've also got mercury's gauges wrapped around it,
01:01 plus a waterproof touch panel switch
01:03 to operate all your machinery.
01:05 Now our test boat was optionally equipped
01:07 with zip wake tabs.
01:08 They give the boat automatic attitude control
01:11 or you can run them manually.
01:13 Now here's something I like.
01:14 The trolling motor control has its own holder
01:17 right there on the dash.
01:18 And that's something that comes with
01:20 JL Marine's new move trolling motor.
01:22 You've got a three spoke tilt wheel
01:24 and I like the fact that the jack plate controls
01:26 are right here on the steering column.
01:28 The seat slides fore and aft
01:30 and swivels for the ideal position.
01:33 Now the helm station isn't bolted on like a lot of boats.
01:35 This one's bolted into the deck,
01:37 which makes it extra solid.
01:39 To access the electronics in the gauges behind,
01:41 you get in through this hatch right here.
01:44 There's plenty of access and it's lighted.
01:46 Now the port side console has got a similar hatch,
01:49 but you use that to either put an angle bait cooler in there
01:52 or any other gear that you wanna keep dry.
01:55 The captain's cup holder is on the step to the fore deck.
01:58 The passenger has one on the console
02:00 to the left of the glove box.
02:01 At the left side of the walkway to the fore deck
02:03 is your slide out ruler.
02:05 But when you pull it out,
02:06 it also gives you access to your dip net.
02:08 Underneath the center hatch is your rod locker.
02:12 That'll hold eight eight footers plus three on top.
02:16 Plenty of dry storage in there if you're using it otherwise.
02:19 You've got lockers on the port and starboard side
02:21 and the compartments closest to the console
02:23 have special purposes.
02:25 The starboard side is ideal
02:26 for holding an angle bait cooler.
02:29 On the port side, this compartment is insulated
02:31 and great for keeping your drinks
02:33 and your lunch cold all day.
02:35 When you step forward,
02:36 you can see we've got a control panel for the trolling motor.
02:39 We've got a great place to mount Lowrance units here.
02:42 And we happen to be using a balls out mount right here,
02:45 which is one of the most solid mounts
02:47 for electronics on the water.
02:49 You'll also notice an entirely new trolling motor.
02:51 This happens to be the move motor from JL Marine.
02:55 It has a titanium shaft, a brushless motor,
02:58 and one of the best internal navigation systems
03:00 in electric motors on the water.
03:03 As you step back through the console opening,
03:05 there is your tackle box on the starboard side.
03:08 As you step through the cockpit,
03:09 it's a good time to mention what's on the floor of the boat.
03:12 This is polyethylene reflex foam.
03:15 That means it's really strong
03:17 and probably the easiest to clean up on the water.
03:20 If you look on the starboard side,
03:22 you've got a compartment here that opens easily,
03:24 gives you full access,
03:25 and it's a great place to put 3,700 Plano tackle boxes.
03:29 Now the aft deck is also covered with the reflex foam.
03:32 There's a ladder on the starboard side.
03:35 On either side of the center hatch,
03:36 you'll find dry storage,
03:38 and the center hatch reveals an enormous live well.
03:42 For access to the bilge,
03:43 open up the hatch on the port side
03:45 or go through the pie plate.
03:47 You'll notice here that you've got a pedestal seat socket,
03:49 and next to it is a place to put your tow pile on
03:52 when pulling kids on tubes and sticks.
03:54 Here's how you access the starter battery.
03:58 Now the compartment is large enough
03:59 and designed to accept a second battery,
04:01 either to add more cranking power to the big motor
04:05 or to run a kicker motor.
04:06 I like the kicker motor setup,
04:08 and most northern fishermen are gonna have one on there
04:10 for salmon trolling.
04:12 Now in a walleye boat,
04:13 you're usually working in the cockpit.
04:15 That's why the tool holders are in either corner
04:17 along with cup holders.
04:19 If you look at the aft deck,
04:20 this one is set up to make it easier to work on
04:24 when you need to.
04:25 Look at how it's canted this way.
04:27 Most boats have the deck slanted aft,
04:29 and then they follow that same line with the aft deck.
04:32 This one on the other hand is canted forward,
04:34 so it's level while you're working and trolling,
04:37 it gives you better footing.
04:38 Now Yarkraft not only pays attention
04:40 to making the boat great to run and very fishable,
04:44 they wanna make it look good too.
04:46 In that light, they put some of the best hardware on board.
04:49 I really like the deck drains.
04:51 It's styled, it's highly polished, and it's pretty.
04:54 I like the fact that you've got pull-up cleats
04:56 and they're angled into the coaming
04:57 so they don't stick out and snag lines.
05:00 Even the latches are highly polished and easy to operate.
05:03 Take a look at the panel up there by the trolling motor.
05:06 That gives you a nice solid place to mount,
05:08 and it's also good looking,
05:10 both for your graph and for your switch panel.
05:13 In addition to all the premium hardware on board,
05:16 Yarkraft uses some Brella vinyl.
05:18 It's UV protected, it looks great,
05:21 and it will last a long, long time.
05:23 Yarkraft's 210 TFX is the ideal tournament fishing boat,
05:27 but when you've got it full of pedestal seats,
05:29 your family's gonna enjoy a day on the water too.
