The princess and the woodcutter

  • last year
In a kingdom ruled by a benevolent king, Princess Meemuna fell gravely ill. The king, desperate to save her, offered her hand in marriage and half of his kingdom as a reward to anyone who could heal her. A humble woodcutter with knowledge of medicinal herbs stepped forward, requesting to marry the princess. After her recovery, the king tried to send the woodcutter away but set impossible tasks. When the woodcutter faced a wild beast to protect the hidden princess, she was presumed lost. Eventually, she was found safe, and the king honored his promise, allowing the princess to marry the woodcutter and sharing his kingdom's wealth with the less fortunate.Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.
