00:00 There's lots of ways to maintain healthy knees, but if you're going to ask me for my three top tips,
00:06 number one would be to maintain a healthy body weight.
00:10 When you're exercising, all your weight goes through that one knee,
00:14 and studies show that the forces can be up to four times the body weight.
00:19 Number two, don't forget to stretch and warm up before any sort of exercise.
00:25 Pay particular attention to the muscles and the tendons at the front and the back of the thigh and knee.
00:32 And lastly, number three, strengthen the muscles around the knee.
00:36 Once again, pay particular attention to the muscle at the front of your thigh, which is the quadriceps.
