00:00 Some South Korean and Filipino musicians gathered to celebrate the rich culture and music of the two countries.

00:09 The National Museum for Fine Arts served as a table in the celebration of the traditional music of Korea and the Philippines.

00:24 This is the Cultural Crescendo, a mini concert where two groups of music and sound artists of the Philippines and Korea performed.

00:31 The music group, Haru, of the Korean National University of Arts of Korea

00:36 performed some filigree music inspired by their creative dramatic pansori, "The Emperor's New Clothes".

00:53 The music of music from the Musicology Department of the University of the Philippines College of Music

01:00 was inspired by the beautiful "Bunibunyang", "Tampok ang Kulintang".

01:10 K-drama, K-music, K-pop are popular of course, but we think that in the face of that popularity,

01:19 we have a traditional culture including music.

01:23 So the Korean government is always trying to preserve our traditional culture.

01:30 In the past, we were already focusing on the diplomatic relationship.

01:35 But in this day, the culture is the main factor to have a good relationship, especially between the countries.

01:44 So if we can make a collaboration work together, I think it will be helpful to understand each other more.

01:53 The concert of the National Gallery's Month in the Philippines and Korea Foundation Day was held simultaneously.

01:59 The youth of today are highly connected because of social media.

02:03 So we should also make the traditional music of Korea and the traditional music of the Philippines.
