00:00 Alright, we continue to deal with this
00:02 upper low stalled South of James Bay.
00:04 That system will finally leave as
00:05 we get toward Thursday and Friday,
00:07 but hot on its heels.
00:09 Another storm that we're tracking and
00:10 this is going to be a coast to coast storm.
00:13 Here let me show you where this is now.
00:16 It is South of the Aleutian Islands right now.
00:18 There it is.
00:19 I haven't highlighted in red.
00:21 You can see that spin associated with it here.
00:23 A lot of cold air aloft with this,
00:25 so it's a pretty vigorous system.
00:27 Now it's hot on the heels of our
00:29 storm already coming into the Northwest,
00:31 but this is the storm that will
00:33 grab all the highlights and headlines.
00:35 As we move through the rest of this week,
00:37 I want to give you a little timeline
00:39 of where this is going to be.
00:41 It'll be arriving in the Northwest
00:42 on Tuesday with a soaking rain down
00:44 the five from Seattle Portland all
00:46 the way down in the Northern California.
00:48 By the time we get into Wednesday and Thursday,
00:51 this is when we start talking about some snow.
00:53 Not only in the Rockies,
00:55 I'd worry about snow I-25 from
00:56 Casper toward Cheyenne and also
00:58 interstate 80 from Cheyenne toward.
01:00 Scott's Bluff, Nebraska.
01:01 So into the into the panhandle
01:02 of Western Nebraska,
01:03 I don't think it's a large area of snow,
01:06 but I do think it's going to accumulate here.
01:08 I can even see some snow in Denver by
01:11 the time we get into Thursday though,
01:13 we start talking about rain and some
01:15 thunderstorms and at least I think some
01:17 risk or spotty severe weather as possible
01:19 in the Plains on Thursday Midwest on
01:21 Friday and then for those hoping for
01:23 a nice weekend in the Northeast after
01:25 what was a wet and dry weekend,
01:27 what was a wet cool weekend?
01:29 Well, unfortunately,
01:29 I think we're looking at a soaking rain.
01:32 I can also see some gusty thunderstorms
01:33 across parts of the Mid Atlantic,
01:35 so it's a storm that's going to impact
01:37 the entire United States as we go
01:39 through this week.
01:40 Here's where it arrives on Tuesday.
01:42 Seattle, Portland,
01:43 Medford down in the Northern California.
01:44 I could even see a shower or two
01:46 once we get into the Bay Area by
01:48 Wednesday and Thursday in the Northern
01:50 Plains that there is the snow around
01:52 Cheyenne and Scott's Bluff.
01:54 I stopped this Thursday night.
01:55 It moves out into the Plains states.
01:57 Notice that area from Kansas City toward Des Moines.
02:00 This is Thursday evening.
02:01 This could be.
02:02 This could be some strong gusty thunderstorms.
02:04 I don't think we're looking at a
02:06 severe weather out like but I could
02:08 see spotty severe weather damaging winds.
02:09 Hail I can even see an isolated
02:11 tornado with this now.
02:12 The storm moves eastward.
02:13 Watch the rain start to expand
02:15 toward Green Bay and Chicago.
02:16 I'll stop start this Friday morning.
02:18 A little bit of rain earlier around
02:20 Chicago Peoria Saint Louis that
02:21 lifts to the north and east.
02:23 Then another round of thunderstorms.
02:24 There they go from Peoria,
02:25 Chicago toward Indianapolis.
02:26 Toward Detroit.
02:27 I think the best bet for severe weather
02:29 will likely be South of Interstate 70.
02:31 With this, but again,
02:32 there is at least some threat for severe
02:34 weather and oh by the way as we get into
02:36 the weekend here comes the rain right
02:38 back in the parts of New York State,
02:40 eastern New England,
02:41 an area that has already been
02:42 inundated by rain not only the last
02:44 30 days but so far this summer and I
02:46 could see how we're looking at one to
02:48 three inches of rain including the
02:50 New York City area with the possibility
02:52 of flash flooding.
