Ochoa wins gold despite fever

Quitting was never an option for Filipino ju-jitsu artist Meggie Ochoa. Stricken with fever, Ochoa still managed to bring home the gold at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. In an interview with media in Makati on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, Ochoa said she was sick all way up to her final match against Balqees Abdulla of the United Arab Emirates in the women's -48kg final
