Magkakaroon naman ng helpdesk para malaman kung na-kompromiso ang PhilHealth data ng mga miyembro.

00:00 PhilHealth admitted that their antivirus system is now expired for a possible reason.

00:11 The helpdesk will have a chance to find out if PhilHealth data was compromised by the members.

00:18 Based on the 24-hour investigation by the National Privacy Commission,

00:25 more than 700 gigabytes of data stolen from PhilHealth was released by the Medusa Ransomware Group.

00:33 Some members' names, birthdays, addresses, and PhilHealth numbers were included.

00:38 We will be conferring with PhilHealth also on Monday to understand the affected system and the extent of data about an individual that could be compromised.

00:52 A specialized browser and software must be used to find out if a member is affected.

00:59 That's why a helpdesk will be established for PhilHealth members who want to ask if their information is possible to be included in the data that was compromised.

01:09 For now, the members must be careful.

01:13 PhilHealth responded to the first few statements of the National Privacy Commission where they saw a hole that's why a data breach occurred in PhilHealth.

01:22 In a message sent to GMA Integrated News, PhilHealth admitted that they were hacked because their antivirus system was expired in April.

01:32 They also don't have a Cyber Emergency Response Unit but they have an Information Security Incident Response Team.

01:39 According to the Department of Information and Communications Technology, they will be planning IT security policies for the government and LGUs.

01:50 The DICT is also pushing under the National Cyber Security Plan for each agency to have a Cyber Security Response Team.
