00:00 are going to start with the New England Patriots
00:02 welcoming the New Orleans Saints.
00:05 Right now the Saints are road favorites minus one,
00:08 according to FanDuel.
00:10 They are minus 104 on the money line.
00:12 Patriots are minus 112.
00:13 And the over under is 39 and a half.
00:17 That's the betting angle.
00:18 But me and Taylor were also down there all week
00:20 at Gillette Stadium, trying to get the vibes,
00:23 the feel for this team and what the heck
00:25 they're gonna do this week after getting
00:28 their doors blown off against Dallas last Sunday in Texas.
00:32 It was not good.
00:34 It wasn't even close to good.
00:36 Mac Jones struggled.
00:37 The defense actually only allowed two touchdowns,
00:39 but ended up losing 38 to three was the final score.
00:43 So Taylor, what do you make of their matchup
00:46 against New Orleans this weekend?
00:47 Can they do it?
00:48 And what do you think, obviously,
00:50 of the minus one spread for New Orleans?
00:52 - Going with my brain, this is just gonna be
00:56 probably a tough one to watch.
00:57 Unless you really like defensive football,
01:00 but even then, based on what these two offenses
01:02 have put on tape, especially with Derek Carr being hurt,
01:05 it just, you know, there's not a lot of hope.
01:07 And the Saints are also dealing
01:09 with offensive line injuries.
01:11 - Yep.
01:12 - There's not a lot of hope that this is gonna be
01:13 a high flying game.
01:14 At the same time, my heart says, well,
01:16 Mac Jones kinda needs one of, if not the best games
01:20 of his career.
01:21 One, because the Saints defense
01:23 is legitimately very talented.
01:24 And I think that he's gonna have to be on point
01:25 to beat them.
01:26 But even more than that, after last week,
01:29 you know, I think it's fair to say that
01:31 people's confidence is pretty shaken.
01:33 - Yeah.
01:34 - So, realistically, I would probably take the under
01:37 on this game.
01:38 Like, there's a reason the spread is so low.
01:40 It's just, these are two teams of rough offenses,
01:42 good defenses, where it's not likely
01:44 we're gonna get a lot of points.
01:45 So yeah, rationally, that's where I would go.
01:48 But hey, you know, maybe we'll get some surprise fireworks
01:51 and Mac Jones will actually play well.
01:53 And then I could go back and be like,
01:54 hey, look, we told you so.
01:56 Sometimes we know what we're talking about.
01:58 - Right.
01:59 - I don't know why I used Newark accent.
02:00 That's weird.
02:01 (laughing)
02:02 - Well, that's the thing.
02:03 That's kind of where I go with the Patriots team.
02:05 And I guess with this game in general,
02:07 because look, you have two teams
02:08 where obviously struggling on offense.
02:10 New Orleans hasn't been great.
02:11 Patriots have been not great either.
02:14 I was gonna use the word abysmal,
02:16 but I don't think it's been that bad.
02:18 It hasn't been great.
02:19 And the defenses are really, yeah, I guess.
02:21 The defenses though are really good, right?
02:23 Two defensive minded head coaches
02:25 in Belbelichick, Dennis Allen.
02:27 So they're obviously gonna come out
02:28 and show up for the test.
02:30 So I do like the under as well.
02:32 I agree with you though.
02:33 I think this offense needs a little jolt, if you will.
02:38 And I think Mac Jones might be ready
02:40 to finally give them that.
02:41 That is more so me betting with my heart
02:43 and not my brain, I think.
02:45 I think I've been team Mac and I think they,
02:47 I think there's something there
02:49 if they can sort of get the ball rolling here.
02:51 And so I am going to go Patriots plus one.
02:54 I think they squeeze one out,
02:55 but I'm with you on the under.
02:57 I think under 39 and a half makes sense.
02:59 I feel like it's a low scoring game,
03:01 defensive battle and the Patriots
03:03 can squeeze it on the end.
03:04 And they better because if you look,
03:06 start to look towards their schedule here, right?
03:07 If they start to really spiral, they lose this one.
03:11 If they lose against Vegas in Vegas the following week,
03:14 then you're looking at Miami and Buffalo
03:15 and it's just a disaster after that.
03:17 So they really need to get one.
03:19 And I think they do so this Sunday
03:21 against New Orleans when they come in.
03:22 So that's the picks for that one.
03:24 Let's continue moving on in the AFC East
03:28 where the Miami Dolphins will take on the New York Giants.
03:33 I was just scrolling Twitter and I saw Joe Shad
03:36 from Miami down there.
03:38 He tweeted his game preview
03:39 and his title was basically the Giants stink.
03:43 This is the time for the Dolphins to get back on track.
03:47 Yeah, he straight up goes the Giants.
03:48 - Woof.
03:49 - So yeah, that was a good one.
03:51 Find that interesting.
03:52 He's really firing from the hip there.
03:56 Obviously the bookmakers think it's the same though
03:57 because that fan duel, the Dolphins are minus 11 and a half,
04:01 minus 750 you have to lay on the money line
04:03 just for a Dolphins win.
04:04 The total is 47 and a half.
04:07 Miami, obviously they played Buffalo last weekend.
04:11 Played it not like we expected.
04:14 Obviously they had 70 points.
04:18 Two weeks ago and then sort of didn't play it
04:22 as well as they thought they would the next time.
04:24 Giants, they're coming off.
04:27 Their whole season is sort of in disarray right now.
04:30 They pay Daniel Jones.
04:31 Maybe Joe Shad is right.
04:32 Maybe the Giants do stink.
04:33 But they pay Daniel Jones.
04:36 Things aren't going well.
04:37 Brian D'Abel is saying,
04:39 I saw another clip of Brian D'Abel talking about Tua.
04:41 He's saying how much he loves Tua
04:43 and he's a great quarterback and this and that.
04:44 And I'm like, he just does not like Daniel Jones.
04:47 I saw the clip of him throwing the paper,
04:49 throwing the iPad too.
04:50 So not great with the Giants,
04:52 but 11 and a half point spread.
04:53 That's a lot of points.
04:54 Miami's at home.
04:55 What do you make of the matchup?
04:57 - This is, I think the Dolphins
04:59 are gonna blow the doors off.
05:00 - Okay.
05:01 - One, because the Giants haven't been great,
05:02 but I'm also looking at the injury report.
05:04 Their guard, they have a guard out,
05:06 their center and Andrew Thomas all out.
05:10 - Yikes.
05:10 - It's not a good sign for a quarterback
05:14 who's already, you know,
05:15 some of that falls on Daniel Jones,
05:16 but yeah, he's been getting his teeth kicked in
05:19 with the pressure we saw last week.
05:21 So, I mean, I add that.
05:23 Now the Dolphins did lose Toronto Armstead for the year,
05:26 which sucks.
05:26 Like he's one of the better players at the position.
05:29 Makes a huge difference for them,
05:30 difference for them when he's out there.
05:33 But yeah, man, like I think the Dolphins
05:35 are gonna wanna come out firing after last week
05:37 and kind of, you know,
05:39 the Bills kind of put the cap on him a little bit
05:42 towards the middle, the end of the game.
05:44 So yeah, I don't know why I'm talking so long.
05:46 I think the Dolphins are gonna run away with this one.
05:48 It's very simple.
05:49 - Yeah, that's easy enough.
05:50 Dolphins, obviously they traded for Chase Claypool
05:53 on Friday from the Bears.
05:55 So I don't know if he'll get down there
05:57 and suit up that quick.
05:58 But the other thing out of Miami is that Toronto Armstead
06:00 went on injured reserve, so he'll be out for four games.
06:02 So they might have a little bit of trouble
06:06 blocking up and protecting Tua,
06:08 but at the end of the day, I'm with you.
06:09 I like the Dolphins here, 11 and a half.
06:11 Back on their home turf too,
06:13 47 and a half is a very low number.
06:16 I think the Dolphins could have put up 40 on their own.
06:19 So I like the over 47 and a half
06:20 and I like the Dolphins minus 11 and a half.
06:22 Before we continue on, like I said,
06:25 this segment is powered by OddsR,
06:27 but it's also powered by FanDuel where we get our ads.
06:30 So let's take a minute to listen to our friends
06:32 over at FanDuel.
06:32 - Going to actually the NFL season with FanDuel,
06:37 America's number one sports book.
06:40 Right now, new customers get $200 in bonus bets
06:44 guaranteed when you place a $5 bet.
06:46 That's $200 in bonus bets, win or lose.
06:50 If you've been thinking about joining FanDuel,
06:52 there's no better time to get in on the action.
06:55 The app is so easy to use.
06:57 There's a wide range of betting options,
06:58 including spreads, player props, over-unders and more.
07:02 So visit fanduel.com/boston and kick off the NFL season.
07:08 FanDuel, official partner of the NFL.
07:10 - Dot com.
07:24 You heard it there, fanduel.com/boston.
07:27 Sorry, check it out.
07:28 My computer's in disarray, but fanduel.com/boston.
07:32 Get in on all the action there.
07:34 You get some bonus bets and you can bet on this game
07:37 that we're gonna talk about next, which is the Jaguars.
07:40 It's not really at the Bills
07:42 because the game is across the pond.
07:44 It is in London.
07:46 We have another London game,
07:47 the Jaguars sit over there this week
07:49 and now we'll face off against, like I said,
07:51 the Buffalo Bills who are making the trip.
07:53 Bills are minus five and a half.
07:55 The total is 48 and a half.
07:57 Bills coming off a big win against Miami.
08:00 Jacksonville coming off a win as well.
08:01 Like I said, they were in London last week
08:03 and they beat the Atlanta Falcons.
08:06 So, look, the Jaguars sort of have like
08:10 a de facto home field advantage
08:12 because they're there basically every year
08:13 and they play multiple games there.
08:16 I don't really know how much home field advantage they get
08:19 as far as the fans.
08:20 It's not like there's a bunch of Jaguars fans over there,
08:21 but they're used to it, they're comfortable
08:23 and they don't have to deal with the jet lag either.
08:25 So I'm wondering your take on this one.
08:27 I kind of know where I'm gonna pick,
08:29 but I wanna hear what you say first
08:30 'cause you might be able to sway me.
08:32 So what do you make of the matchup?
08:33 - The Josh Allen Bowl, once again.
08:36 I mean, the Bills have been on fire lately.
08:40 So I really don't wanna pick against them.
08:42 Also the Jaguars, Trevor Lawrence is fantastic.
08:45 They got a lot of talent.
08:46 I think they will be in the playoff hunt at some point.
08:49 But I just, like I said, I'm not betting against the Bills.
08:53 They did lose Trey White.
08:55 Obviously a huge loss.
08:56 He's one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL.
08:58 But at the same time, I haven't seen enough consistency
09:00 from the Jaguars and the Bills last week
09:03 were nothing but consistent.
09:04 Like we got a full fledged super sane game
09:07 on Josh Allen, his Patriots fans are very familiar with.
09:10 So yeah, over under, I'd probably take the over.
09:14 I don't know if the Jaguars can necessarily
09:18 put up that many points just 'cause again,
09:19 I think they're capable of it.
09:20 I just haven't seen it on a consistent basis, but the Bills.
09:23 I mean, this is a pretty solid Jaguars defense,
09:25 but at the same time, they're looking so good right now.
09:27 I'm just gonna kind of stick with the team
09:30 that has the hot hand.
09:31 - All right, I'm going against you.
09:33 I'm gonna go with Jacksonville.
09:34 I don't know if they win the game.
09:36 I don't know if they win the game.
09:37 It's gonna be close and Buffalo is obviously the Bills,
09:40 but five and a half points feels like
09:42 a little too much for me.
09:44 Those Lundge games can get quirky.
09:46 I know it got a little quirky last week against Atlanta.
09:48 So maybe Buffalo.
09:49 Buffalo probably pulls out the win,
09:51 but I think it's like a low one possession game,
09:54 maybe a three score game that comes down to the very end.
09:57 So I like the Jaguars plus five and a half.
09:59 And look, 48 and a half, I think I like the under there.
10:04 Like I said, it gets kind of weird over in London.
10:06 So go under 48 and a half in my opinion.
10:09 And I like the Jaguars to keep it a little bit close.
10:12 Let's continue one more in the AFC East.
10:15 Then we'll get to two more NFL games going on this weekend.
10:18 This is the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos.
10:22 The game is in Denver.
10:23 Denver is a two point favorite
10:26 against Zach Wilson's Jets at home.
10:29 Denver at home, excuse me.
10:31 Total is 43 and a half.
10:33 Taylor, we were talking about Zach Wilson this week
10:35 down at Gillette.
10:36 He's starting to become a little bit likable.
10:38 The Rodney Harrison thing happens.
10:40 He's starting to say all the right things.
10:41 He plays a pretty good game and all of a sudden
10:43 everyone's on team Zach Wilson now.
10:46 The Broncos, they come back last week
10:49 at their first win against the Chicago Bears.
10:51 So they look like they can finally win a football game.
10:55 A tight spread, a low total.
10:56 What do you make of this matchup?
10:58 - It was a tough one, man.
11:00 - Yeah, I know.
11:01 - Like you said, I mean, I'm rooting for Zach Wilson.
11:02 So this is one of those picks where I'm gonna go
11:05 with my heart. - Let's go.
11:06 - I'm gonna say the Jets win this one.
11:07 It's weird saying I'm gonna go with my heart
11:09 and pick the Jets.
11:10 That's like a thing of fury coming out of my mouth.
11:12 But yeah, I'm with Zach Wilson, man.
11:15 That was a lot of fun watching him last week.
11:18 And legitimately, they have all the talent.
11:21 Like we all know their defense is fantastic.
11:23 They have a ton of weapons on offense.
11:25 The offensive line situation has been pretty tumultuous.
11:27 But I mean, we saw from Zach Wilson was really promising.
11:30 At the same time, you know, Russell Wilson seems
11:32 to be finding his stride a little bit as well.
11:35 So I do agree this will be a tough game.
11:38 I think the spread's pretty fair,
11:39 but I'm gonna take the points and go with the Jets
11:40 to get the upset in Denver.
11:42 - See, that's where my heart is.
11:44 All the Zach Wilson stuff we're talking about.
11:45 I like him.
11:46 I think his ceiling can be a pretty dynamic playmaker.
11:48 But after what happened last week,
11:51 after him having one of his first really good games
11:53 in the NFL, I feel like it could very easily
11:56 spiral on him now too.
11:57 I feel like everybody's gonna be on the Jets.
11:59 I feel like the smart money is probably on the Broncos.
12:02 So I'm gonna take the Broncos.
12:04 I don't like the Broncos.
12:05 I don't really like Russell Wilson and Sean Payton together.
12:07 I don't like the marriage.
12:08 But it feels like if I wanna win some money,
12:11 I feel like the Broncos is the right play at home.
12:13 Jets obviously going on the road.
12:15 So let's go with the Broncos minus two.
12:17 43 and a half.
12:20 What's your take on the total before I give my pick?
12:22 'Cause I don't really know.
12:23 I don't really like that.
12:23 - Under, under.
12:25 - Just an under?
12:26 Okay, fine.
12:27 - Yeah.
12:28 (laughing)
12:29 - I'm on the under.
12:30 I'll go Broncos.
12:31 You go Jets.
12:32 Before we continue on, we got two more for you.

13:56 - All right, and that was Factor Meals.
13:59 Make sure you go to factormeals.com
14:02 and check out all of their fantastic meals over at Factor.
14:06 Two more to go here.
14:07 We have a matchup in the AFC North,
14:10 Baltimore at Pittsburgh.
14:12 Baltimore, minus four and a half point favorites,
14:14 according to FanDuel, minus 210 on the money line.
14:17 Another low total here, 38 points.
14:20 These ones, Ravens and Steelers,
14:22 always low scoring, always funky games.
14:24 Kenny Pickett went out last week with a knee injury.
14:27 Looks like he's gonna play.
14:28 I believe he was taken off
14:29 of Pittsburgh's injury report this week.
14:32 The Ravens, I don't know what's going on
14:33 with their training staff,
14:34 but those guys are always,
14:35 seem to be a laundry list of guys banged up.
14:38 But Odell Beckham Jr. did say today
14:40 that he was gonna play.
14:41 So what do you make of this one in the AFC North, Taylor?
14:46 - Steelers' pass rush makes it a little tough, you know?
14:49 'Cause that's a great front they've got.
14:50 But at the same time,
14:51 their offense has been lacking significantly.
14:54 And I think the Ravens, especially if OBJ is back,
14:57 I like their chances a lot better.
14:58 This one just feels like pretty straightforward as well.
15:01 Ravens, I think they'll win.
15:02 I don't wanna say like super comfortably
15:04 because of that rivalry,
15:05 but at the same time, relative to the rivalry,
15:07 I think it's gonna be them in the driver's seat
15:09 for this entire game.
15:11 - Yeah, I think so too.
15:12 I think maybe seven to 10 point win,
15:14 but it doesn't feel like that during the game.
15:16 Like it's closer during the game,
15:17 but Justin Tucker, you know,
15:19 shoots them through the uprights late in the game
15:21 to kind of put it away for Baltimore.
15:23 Obviously I like what Lamar Jackson's doing this season.
15:25 Fun fact, last week was the first game in Lamar's NFL career
15:29 that he had two passing and two rushing touchdowns.
15:32 Thought that was kind of interesting
15:33 considering he's been balling and had been an MVP
15:35 and he's never done that until last week.
15:37 I like the Ravens, minus four and a half.
15:39 I like the under.
15:40 This one's gonna get muddy.
15:41 They always do with these two teams, like I said.
15:42 So under 38, Ravens minus four and a half.
15:46 Let's wrap it up with Monday night football.
15:49 We got the Cowboys, we got the 49ers.
15:51 Obviously we are very used to
15:53 what these Dallas Cowboys can do
15:55 because we watched them beat our New England Patriots
15:57 38 to three last week, San Francisco 49ers.
16:00 They're undefeated, they're a wagon.
16:02 Brock Purdy can do basically anything.
16:05 Christian McCaffrey might be the MVP,
16:07 if not for like Tua or Josh Allen or whatever.
16:09 He's probably, if you're not talking quarterback,
16:12 Christian McCaffrey is gonna be the MVP of the NFL season.
16:15 Minus three and a half according to FanDuel,
16:17 Dallas coming to them.
16:18 45 points total.
16:20 Taylor, I'm just gonna give my pick first here
16:22 and then I'm gonna let you go.
16:23 I like the Niners.
16:24 I think Dallas, so like their game against Arizona
16:29 was a letdown spot.
16:31 So then they go against and play the Patriots.
16:34 They're not gonna go down, so they blow out the Patriots.
16:37 Now I feel like they're riding high, riding mighty,
16:40 and then the Niners are just gonna blow their doors off.
16:42 That's my thought here.
16:43 Niners are the best team in football.
16:44 They just traded for Randy Gregory
16:46 before we came on this recording from the Denver Broncos.
16:48 They're a pass rush.
16:49 I don't know about this week,
16:50 but they're just going for it all.
16:52 They're just rolling.
16:53 They're probably the Super Bowl favorites right now
16:54 and I think they could very well go and win it.
16:56 So in this one, I'm taking Niners minus three and a half.
16:59 I don't know about the total,
17:00 but I definitely like the Niners here.
17:01 What say you?
17:03 - Yeah, I don't think it's gonna be a shock.
17:04 I was gonna say show shock,
17:05 but they're pretty familiar with the Cowboys.
17:07 I don't think they're going into this game
17:08 and thinking like riding high, like, oh, we got this,
17:10 'cause the 49ers are a fantastic team.
17:13 But also the loss of the Cardinals,
17:14 I think they beat up on a bad Patriots team
17:17 or rather a Patriots team that had a really bad day.
17:20 So yeah, this is another one I feel like is,
17:23 I don't wanna say easy,
17:25 'cause the Cowboys have a ton of talent.
17:26 They're well-coached as well,
17:27 but at the same time, the 49ers have been a joke.
17:29 I don't see that trade stopping anytime soon.
17:31 So we are on the same page.
17:32 I'm going Niners.
17:33 - Perfect.
17:34 Niners minus three and a half.
17:35 Let's go over 45.
17:36 I don't know if it's gonna be, you know,
17:38 completely high flying,
17:39 but I think the Niners win comfortably
17:41 and I think the total goes over 45 at the end of the day.
