The Jeremy Vine on Fice panellist insisted the Taliban will be “worse” than before, saying they “haven’t changed” and calling them "barbaric savages". Insurgents re-entered Kabul on Sunday after a speedy advance through Afghanistan following the withdrawal of US troops after nearly 20 years in the country. The Taliban have insisted they will recognise the rights of all Afghans, including women, within the limits of their interpretation of the Islamic religion but Ms Malone expressed her weariness at the claims.
