00:00 Alright, doing any traveling this weekend?
00:01 If you're doing it Saturday in
00:03 the eastern quarter of the US,
00:04 we're going to have some issues here.
00:06 We're going to have a lot of heavy
00:08 rain here from the Delaware Valley
00:10 northward as we were just talking
00:12 about with Bernie Reno and Bob Larson.
00:13 And I'll tell you what,
00:15 folks, as you head west of the Mississippi,
00:17 it's going to be quiet.
00:18 Not much happening for us for
00:20 travelers out there along the I-5 corridor.
00:21 Yeah, it's kind of hot out there,
00:23 but to turn the air conditioner
00:25 on the car you'll be fine.
00:26 Minor delays are possible.
00:27 Meantime, tomorrow in Chicago,
00:28 mainly due to wind,
00:29 those gusts could be over 30 miles
00:31 an hour, maybe even worse.
00:33 That's going to be the case for
00:34 much of the Great Lakes,
00:35 so traveling around the Great Lakes,
00:36 especially the eastern and southern
00:38 shores of them all weekend.
00:39 You're going to have the wind and at
00:41 times rain major delays in New York City.
00:43 As we've been detailing,
00:44 still unsure as to whether the
00:45 Big Apple will see the worst of it.
00:47 It most likely will be to your north,
00:49 but boy, as Bernie mentioned
00:51 just a minute ago,
00:52 there's so many players in the game here.
00:54 As far as what's going to make
00:56 our weather happen this weekend,
00:57 we have to be extra vigilant in
00:59 a place like New York City,
01:01 which has seen severe flooding
01:02 in recent times.
01:03 Meantime, the travel weather delays
01:04 across the center of the nation.
01:06 Hey, not much happening here folks.
01:08 It's just cold.
01:08 I mean, we're warm in the West.
01:10 We're cold in the central US.
01:12 A lot of these areas around the
01:14 plains are going to wake up with
01:16 temperatures at or below freezing,
01:18 so it will be a cold start to
01:20 your Saturday for sure.
01:21 Farther South looking good.
01:23 Not much going on there.
01:24 There is a high fire risk here in
01:26 the Gulf Coast and as we look at
01:29 the areas around the Southeast.
01:30 A thunderstorm could erupt into Miami.
01:32 We got the wind in the lower Great Lakes,
01:35 and as we head to the east,
01:37 New York City northward,
01:38 there'll be some delays here folks
01:39 due to that wind and rain.
