00:08 where she met dozens of youngsters and one fan had a novel way of getting her attention.
00:12 It's not every day that you get the opportunity to meet the Princess of Wales,
00:16 and one young boy made sure he definitely got her attention with a cheeky move.
00:20 It came as Kate visited a sports hall in Hull,
00:23 where she took part in a day celebrating diversity in the sport of rugby league.
00:27 Not only did the princess get stuck into some wheelchair rugby,
00:30 but she also joined children taking part in rugby drills.
00:33 At one point, Kate, dressed in a casual polo shirt, tracksuit bottoms and trainers,
00:38 chatted with some of the youngsters when one boy took his chance to introduce himself to the princess.
00:42 "He cheekily snuck up behind her," said Boo and tickled her waist,
00:46 which at first caused Kate alarm as she wondered who it was.
00:48 But when she saw the youngster standing there, her face quickly broke out into a wide smile
00:53 and she beamed as she introduced herself to him and shook his hand.
00:56 Meanwhile, on the visit yesterday, Kate wheeled away in triumph
00:59 after scoring a try in a conversion on her victorious solo visit,
01:03 after making a defiant six-word vow.
01:05 Sporty Kate, 41, was pictured with her fingers strapped as she had a go at wheelchair rugby league,
01:11 but she refused to let a recent trampolining injury that was revealed last month affect her,
01:15 after declaring, "I'm going to get stuck in."
01:17 The royal, who was notoriously competitive,
01:20 wore a bandage across her index and middle finger as a precaution,
01:23 and she showed no fear after being quickly shown the ropes and wheeling straight into the thick of it.
01:28 England's World Cup-winning wheelchair rugby aces were left open-mouthed as she whizzed up and down the court,
01:33 and they applauded and cheered after she scored in the corner,
01:36 before adding a conversion to boot.
01:38 England's victorious coach Tom Coyde, 28, said,
01:41 "She took to maneuvering the chair really quickly.
01:43 I'm not just saying this because it's her,
01:45 but it's the first time I've ever seen anyone score a conversion at their first attempt.
01:49 I think she's been having secret practice sessions before coming here because she was a natural.
01:53 She even finished off a passing move with a try in the corner.
01:56 She blew me away, to be honest."
01:58 The princess was then presented with three England rugby league shirts,
02:01 one each for George, Charlotte, and Lewis.
02:04 Wheelchair rugby league is currently the most inclusive format across rugby league.
02:08 It provides the opportunity for all to play together regardless of gender or disability.
02:12 Kate delights schoolchildren before joking as anyone in lessons.
02:16 Kate Middleton delighted schoolchildren as she greeted them with high-fives
02:19 during a surprise visit in Hull yesterday.
02:21 The Princess of Wales, 41, approached a crowd of screaming pupils
02:25 before joking as anyone in lessons.
02:27 A video shared to TikTok shows.
02:29 After leaving the Allen Sports Centre,
02:31 where she joined a training session with the World Cup-winning England wheelchair rugby squad,
02:35 the royal headed to a local school.
02:37 While there, she high-fived pupils and told them she had to come say hi
02:40 because she saw them waving.
02:42 The clip was shared on TikTok by 13-year-old Howard who delightedly wrote,
02:46 "Princess Kate came to my school."
02:48 In the clip, dressed in sports kits, Kate approaches the children and jokes,
02:52 "Is anyone in lessons?"
02:53 She then adds, "Oh, it's lunchtime."
02:55 "I came back because I saw everyone here waving me off
02:58 and I said I wanted to come and say hi to all of you.
03:01 I am in my gym kit.
03:02 I have been trying out wheelchair rugby.
03:04 Has anyone had a go at that?"
03:05 After one person asked, "Kate, can I have a high-five, please?"
03:08 The princess high-fived the crowd,
03:10 even with bandaged fingers after injuring them on a trampoline a few weeks ago.
03:14 Earlier in the day, she headed to meet Disability Rugby League players
03:17 where she joined a training session with the World Cup-winning England wheelchair rugby squad.
03:21 The mother of three chatted with team members
