Transcript
00:00 Hi, I'm Laura Reid, the Deputy Features Editor at the Yorkshire Post. I've just come on to
00:05 talk you through some of the features that we've run online and in print this week, in
00:09 case you've missed them. There's lots of long reads to be going at, and we've of course
00:14 got our Yorkshire Post magazine published on Saturday as well as part of our weekend
00:19 edition. At the start of the week we ran an interview with Beverley's Callum Scott on
00:25 how he went from Britain's Got Talent to partnering with Take That. We've also heard from Steve
00:31 Coogan about playing Jimmy Savile in new harrowing drama The Reckoning. We spoke to author and
00:39 former Doncaster Rovers media consultant Peter Tuffery. Like many young men in the 1960s,
00:46 his heroes were guitar players and decades on he's spoken to some of them for his latest
00:51 book. Rishwith author Eric Brogue told us about his new book on Islamic architecture,
00:58 which explores both famous masterpieces and lesser known gems. And we heard from Fiona
01:04 Allen, who made her name with Smack the Pony, but he's now embarking on her first stand-up
01:10 tour of the UK. She told us about her life and the two Michael Parkinson's. Finally,
01:17 in arts and culture, Home Firth born comedian Kieran Hodgson spoke to us as he headed to
01:22 Yorkshire this week on his UK tour. And we also looked ahead as Ailey 2 contemporary
01:28 dance company head to Bradford and Hull later this month. We've also got our weekly Yorkshire
01:37 lifestyle newsletter that gets sent directly to inboxes once a week. So if you want to
01:42 keep up to date with all the latest features from the Yorkshire Post, then please do sign
01:48 up to that. We include everything in there from our magazine stories to heritage content,
01:57 food and drink, fashion, property and loads more. Thanks.
