00:00 The Justice Department has a separate hearing

00:04 regarding the allegations against the accused cult of Socorro, Surigao del Norte.

00:10 In the middle of this, the members of the five-referendum are being planted to protect the members.

00:18 Because the Department of Environment and Natural Resources has already suspended

00:25 the Protected Area Community-Based Resource Management Agreement in Socorro By-and-Hand Services,

00:31 they are now discussing how to protect the rights of the members involved in the issue, especially the children.

00:39 It's more of the cooperation agreement that everybody moves together.

00:43 If one is moving, the others will join so that the efforts will not double up.

00:50 So it's really coordination, coordination of the different agencies of DILG, DOJ, PNP, DNR and the SWD.

01:04 DNR has amended the SBSI's agreement to protect 353 hectares of protected land in Surigao del Norte

01:13 because of the violations in the case of Duat.

01:16 The members of the Departments of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources,

01:21 and Social Welfare and Development, along with the members of DILG, PNP and other agencies, joined the hearing earlier.

01:33 We just want everything to be done to the letter of the law.

01:37 We will not conclude and then we will quickly make a judgment that this is wrong.

01:48 On Monday, the group leader, Jey Renzquilario, who is called Sen. Aguila,

01:55 and other members of the panel that was formed by the DOJ, are expected to attend the hearing.

01:59 The allegations of abuse of the group, which was accused of being a cult, were heard here.

02:04 The panel will also talk to the victims.

02:06 Sen. Aguila is currently in custody after being cited in contempt in the last hearing.

02:13 According to the Department of Justice, the prosecutors are ready to help in strengthening the evidence.
