The British government is proposing to ban younger generations from ever buying cigarettes, a move that would give the country some of the world's toughest smoking rules and hurt tobacco firms.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak says if it's passed into law, it would mean a 14-year-old today could never legally buy a cigarette in their lifetime.
