Motor Trend driver Chris Walton takes Lamborghini’s most powerful roadster ever up California’s most beautiful road.

00:16 driving the brand new Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster.

00:37 So what we've got here is a six and a half liter V12,

00:42 making 740 European horsepower, which translates to 730 SAE horsepower.

00:48 Driving all four wheels, we also have four wheel steering.

00:53 And for the first time, it has four drive modes.

00:56 The newest mode being Ego, which is appropriate,

01:00 but it actually just means customizable.

01:03 And unlike some Roadster versus Coupe versions of the car,

01:08 this one has the same top speed as the Coupe, which is 217 miles per hour.
