Royal wedding clash as Kate and William beat Meghan and Harry to take crown

The wedding of Kate and Prince William has topped the charts after an analysis of Google search data. A study has compared how many searches for "Royal wedding" were completed in the months of each of the most recent nuptials of prominent members of the Firm. And it shows the searches for these two words combined spiked the most in April 2011, when Kate and Prince William tied the knot. Searches for "royal wedding" spiked to 1487 percent the average volume on the month the Cambridges got married. This is a 203 percent bigger spike in searches when compared to the one witnessed in May 2018, when Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry tied the knot.
