Driver may have fallen ill before fatal Venice bus crash that kills at least 21

Italian authorities were investigating on Wednesday the cause of the horrific crash of a bus carrying foreign tourists on the outskirts of Venice which killed 21 people including several children and injured 15 others.

00:00 Nearly two dozen people died after a bus careened off a highway near Venice, Italy on Tuesday,
00:07 many of them tourists.
00:09 Local authorities confirmed five of the victims were Ukrainian and one was German.
00:13 The bus was also carrying passengers from France and Croatia, according to Italian news

00:18 The tourist bus veered off the road and fell off an overpass in the district of Mestri,
00:23 which is connected to Venice by bridge, before crashing into electricity lines near railway
00:28 tracks where it caught fire around 7.45 p.m. local time.

00:37 There are fears the death toll could rise.
00:40 Authorities say 40 passengers were on board the coach, not including the driver, a 40-year-old

00:47 While the cause of the accident remains unclear, one line of official inquiry was that the

00:54 Late on Tuesday evening, rescuers were seen struggling to remove the wreckage of the bus
