00:00 We were left by Milo Hrnic, a maestro singer and Dubrovnik legend.
00:05 Hrnic sold more than a million sound carriers, released 20 albums and over 200 songs.
00:12 He was the winner of the Split Festival three times, with the songs "Vrati se", "Dalma", "Acio", "Ljubav si vječna" and "Dobra večer prijatelji",
00:22 hits that are still listened to and sung today.
00:26 He also tried in politics and was a member of the City Council of Dubrovnik, first as the head of the HNS, and then as an independent councilor.
00:35 Hrnic was a great fan of his calling. He was a real singer, an old-fashioned one.
00:41 I could have been richer if I sang on playback, but I didn't like it because there is no art without live performances.
00:48 It happened to me once that the audience sang so much that I didn't have time to sing, so I would ask them, "Can I sing you something?"
00:56 It happens especially when it's late and when the audience is young people, said the legendary singer in 2018.
01:04 The question is why young people listen to old songs instead of new ones?
01:09 Hrnic then answered that new music lacks good vibrations, it lacks a feeling.
01:15 Today you have records that even their parents don't listen to, let alone anyone else.
01:20 Mass production has happened.
01:23 Everyone would like to be musicians and singers, but first you have to be born with it, and then it's worth working on it.
01:30 There are no more big stars because the originals are no longer interesting than plagiarism, Hrnic replies.
