Notre Dame Run Game Should Be Good vs Duke

00:04 Let's look at the matchup of the Notre Dame run game against the Duke Rush

00:07 defense.

00:08 This is an intriguing matchup.

00:10 We're gonna find out just how good this Duke run defense is this weekend.

00:14 I think Notre Dame absolutely, in my opinion,

00:17 showed that they are a very good rushing offense this season.

00:21 When they did what they did against Ohio State, if you guys remember,

00:24 I mean, Ohio State's rush defense through the first couple games of the season was

00:28 really, really good.

00:30 If you look at the Buckeyes rush defense, they had held Indiana to 71 yards,

00:36 Youngstown State, they held to 99 yards, Western Kentucky, they held to 80 yards.

00:43 The highest yards per carry they had was 30, and

00:47 then Notre Dame went out and ran for 176 yards and 39 attempts.

00:52 Obviously, that includes for Notre Dame, that includes some carries by

00:56 the quarterback and some, they took a knee and some of those type of different

01:00 aspects of the matchup, but Notre Dame was able to go out there and

01:03 have success moving the football on Ohio State, especially in the second half.

01:06 Notre Dame ran for 126 yards in the second half against Duke, or

01:10 against Ohio State, which is good.

01:12 And that just shows you stay on it, even against a good defense at Ohio State,

01:15 if you stick with it, you're gonna be able to wear a team down.

01:17 They did that to NC State as well.

01:19 And NC State, as we've talked about before,

01:23 is a pretty good rush defense.
