00:00 Hello, we are Bicha!
00:03 Hi, I'm Lexi.
00:05 Hi, I'm Kendall.
00:07 Hi, I'm Savannah.
00:09 Hi, I'm Kaylee.
00:10 Hi, I'm KG.
00:12 Hi, I'm Camila.
00:13 For me, I think K-pop really focuses on just the connection with the fans.
00:23 I think that really plays a huge impact
00:26 because the fans are just so incredibly loyal to all the idols
00:32 and the people that they aspire to be.
00:34 So I really appreciate the fans,
00:38 and I think that's one thing that's really big in K-pop.
00:40 Also, K-pop has very diverse music.
00:44 I feel like they're very experimental,
00:46 and I enjoy that in the K-pop genre a lot.
00:49 I also think that in K-pop,
00:52 you have to be able to dance, sing, rap, and do a bunch of things at the same time,
00:58 which is something that we don't really see that much in Western artists.
01:04 It's more like singing or dancing,
01:08 but in K-pop, you have to do both.
01:10 And it's a lot about performing, dancing, and singing,
01:15 so I think that's also very K-pop style.
01:19 What was your first impression of K-pop?
01:24 I was introduced to K-pop at a very young age
01:34 because both my mom and dad grew up in Korea and with K-pop.
01:40 So I knew about K-pop starting from the second generation,
01:48 so groups like Wonder Girls or Miss A.
01:52 But when I became a K-pop fan,
01:55 it was probably the third generation in 2018, 2017.
02:01 That's when I got into it, even though I was only seven or eight.
02:07 I found out about K-pop a bit more recently than some of them.
02:11 But once I found out what it was,
02:13 and saw the fashion, the music, the dancing, and everything of what it is,
02:19 I instantly was in love with it and had a really big interest.
02:23 That's when I went to KCON and saw it in front of me for the first time,
02:27 which was an amazing experience, and I've been really inspired ever since.
02:34 I was also a fan before the debut,
02:37 but I was really into groups like BTS especially.
02:41 I think that was the first group that I got into.
02:44 It was just fascinating to see them dance and sing,
02:47 and do the two together and also improve within the years that they had been together.
02:53 So that motivated me a lot, too.
02:55 So I was a big fan of K-pop before.
03:03 I would say ITZY,
03:07 because they're very multi-talented, obviously,
03:12 and they're really good at everything that they do.
03:15 Their stage presence is awesome.
03:17 I love watching all of their performances, so that's why they inspire me a lot.
03:22 For me, the group that really inspires me is Stray Kids.
03:26 Really specifically would be 3RACHA and Stray Kids,
03:30 because of how they really put what they want in their music.
03:35 Because they compose their music and write the lyrics,
03:38 I feel like to me and I feel like to a lot of people, it gives their music a deeper feeling.
03:43 And I would like to be able to show that through us as a group as well sometime in the future.
03:49 For me, I do agree with Kendall as well.
03:53 One of them is definitely Stray Kids,
03:55 because starting when I got into K-pop,
03:58 I also really enjoyed learning their dances,
04:00 since I was mainly a dancer before joining ITZY-K in this group.
04:04 And additionally, for girl groups, I think groups like LISERA theme,
04:08 I really enjoy the concept and just the stage presence and everything.
04:13 I think most recently is NU'EST because
04:20 they're so young and they haven't been in the industry that long,
04:25 but they've already made so much of an impact.
04:28 And I honestly just love listening to their music.
04:31 And she's not in the group, but Jang Won Young sunbaenim is like my role model,
04:39 because she's been in the music industry also since she was like 13, 14 years old.
04:46 And she inspires me to keep going as well and to be as successful.
04:53 All the members I think know this, but I really like BLACKPINK.
04:57 I've really liked BLACKPINK since I first got interested in K-pop.
05:02 I really like their music and the members,
05:05 and they just inspire me overall in everything that they do.
05:08 I would say TWICE, because I think mainly I really love their relationship as a group,
05:16 and how much they've grown together for so many years.
05:19 And I really hope that we can do that as well.
05:22 I've been a fan of BLACKPINK for a long time,
05:25 and I just love when they perform, you can really see how much they love what they're doing.
05:30 And they're all very talented and beautiful,
05:33 so I really love them a lot and they inspire me as well.
05:37 Hope you had a chance to know more about us.
05:39 Thank you and see you again!
05:40 This was BICHA! Bye!
