00:02 All right, let's do it.
00:10 - Here we go.
00:10 This is new.
00:15 You failed in your first attempt at earning your supplies.
00:18 Here's your second chance.
00:19 Today you will compete head to head in sweat versus savvy.
00:22 Here we go.
00:25 Sweat, first you must move 40 very heavy logs
00:29 from a stack and drop them in a pile
00:31 200 feet across the beach.
00:33 Once you have completed this task,
00:34 you can immediately move to the savvy task.
00:37 Savvy, for this task you must remove a flint
00:40 connected to a circle of rope attached to a metal structure.
00:44 The first pair to complete both tasks
00:46 can lay claim to their camp supplies
00:48 and return to their tribe as heroes.
00:50 The losing pair will return empty handed.
00:52 Take a moment to strategize
00:55 and turn over the sand timer to begin.
00:57 May the best duo win, I guess.
01:00 - Yeah.
01:00 - Oh no, this is sweat and savvy.
01:10 It's a competition at that.
01:13 You got one hour to move 40 logs and to finish the puzzle.
01:18 And at least one tribe is leaving with nothing.
01:23 - These logs are big.
01:27 This is the real deal.
01:28 This is a race.
01:31 This isn't take your time.
01:32 This is pile ass.
01:34 In the new era of Survivor,
01:38 we've had sweat versus savvy four times.
01:40 There has never been a tribe
01:42 that failed sweat versus savvy.
01:44 And so it could be the nail in the coffin
01:46 for somebody who isn't able to get
01:47 what they need for their tribe.
01:49 - I am scared.
01:50 And at this point, the whole team's on our shoulders.
01:53 I start feeling exhausted.
01:56 Lord help.
01:57 What if I can't do this?
01:59 The sweat's about to take me out the game.
02:03 This ain't gonna be easy.
02:05 Hey, this is not an easy challenge.
02:19 I'm exhausted, but I know I can't give up.
02:23 You can do it.
02:23 So I just start talking to myself.
02:26 You can do it.
02:27 Come on.
02:28 I felt my dad just saying, "You got more."
02:32 I hear you, dad.
02:33 - Way to go.
02:34 Mad respect.
02:35 - I'm gonna give you everything I got right here.
02:37 - Safiya, I'm honestly like so impressed with her.
02:40 Like she was talking me up.
02:42 - Make me chase you.
02:43 You got this.
02:44 We need to win.
02:45 - They got three, they got four.
02:46 We're winning this thing.
02:47 I can easily say that that is the hardest thing
02:51 that I've ever had to do in my life.
02:53 I felt like there were at least four opportunities
02:55 where I was on the verge of passing out.
02:58 I'm really faint.
02:59 - Yeah.
03:01 - But there's sort of this unspoken agreement
03:03 when you've got the buff dude
03:04 and you've got the scrawny guy
03:06 that he might carry us through sweat
03:08 and I might carry us through sepsis.
03:09 - Let's go.
03:14 - They get to the puzzle first, but we're close.
03:17 So I'm not really worried about that.
03:19 - I just don't know how to do it.
03:21 We're stuck.
03:23 - Now let's get in some supplies.
03:24 - I'm looking over at Savaya and Caleb.
03:26 They're not getting anywhere with this.
03:27 Dude, we got this.
03:28 We got this.
03:29 - This is what I think it is.
03:30 - So when we get to the savvy portion,
03:32 there's like this crazy, intricate,
03:34 sculpture looking thing
03:35 where we've got the flint tied around
03:36 and we've got to get it unlooped all the way off.
03:39 And so there's some sort of trick to this challenge
03:42 that I'm gonna be honest,
03:43 I don't think I know how to do it.
03:44 - That did not work.
03:47 Well, that sucks.
03:49 He's some wicked smart, like computer engineering kid.
03:53 And I'm a lawyer.
03:54 We're supposed to be the savvy people here.
03:55 Apparently not.
03:57 - Oh my God.
03:58 - That's where we started, man.
04:00 - Are we done?
04:01 What's going on?
04:01 - Well, at least we're all done together.
04:03 - At this point, the panic starts to sit in.
04:05 The clock is running down
04:07 and we can see it on each other's faces.
04:09 Like we're in trouble.
04:11 - This is crazy.
04:12 - We got like 20 seconds.
04:14 And neither tribe is getting this.
04:15 I'm gonna tell you that right now.
04:18 (dramatic music)
