00:00 because I'm so used to saying,
00:01 people are commenting on Twitter.
00:02 I cannot say people are commenting on X,
00:03 that's just a whole other rant for another day.
00:05 Anyway, emotions have been high
00:07 ever since Elon bought Twitter.
00:09 Some people are obviously ecstatic
00:11 and see this as a win for free speech.
00:13 They think that the platform has gotten better.
00:15 Others have spent the last six months crying on threads,
00:19 which is the most terrible platform in existence,
00:22 and I think that their users spiked
00:24 and then everybody stopped using it immediately
00:25 because obviously it is not as fun as Twitter/X.
00:28 A lot has changed on the platform since Elon took over,
00:31 but there is one feature that stands out to me
00:34 as just the best and most hilarious addition,
00:37 which is the corrective community notes
00:39 added context section.
00:41 And I was so worried, to be honest,
00:42 when I saw this roll out,
00:43 because I thought, oh God, Elon, no,
00:45 like I thought you bought this for free speech,
00:46 and now this is gonna be another Snopes correcting people,
00:49 but it is just pure gold
00:51 and it has provided me with endless entertainment,
00:53 so we're gonna talk about that today.
00:54 It's basically a way for Elon and other Twitter users
00:57 to subtly own people
00:59 when they straight up lie on the platform,
01:00 and these moments of added context
01:02 have also added some hilarious comedic relief
01:05 on this platform.
01:06 So let's get into some of my favorite moments,
01:07 but before we do, make sure that you like this video,
01:09 subscribe to this channel if you have not already,
01:11 and ring that notification bell
01:12 so that you never miss a comment section
01:14 or off the clock episode.
01:15 So if you did not already know about this feature
01:17 or you do not spend as much time as I do
01:19 scrolling through Twitter,
01:20 once Elon bought Twitter,
01:21 even though he was wanting to obviously protect free speech,
01:24 he did want to find a way
01:26 to stop the spread of misinformation
01:27 and people lying and slandering people on the platform,
01:30 which is where community notes
01:31 and added context came into play.
01:33 Now in short, if a tweet includes wrong information,
01:36 a suggestive note correcting that tweet's wrongfulness
01:39 will be placed below based on real people's suggestions,
01:42 and it will be moved up in the algorithm
01:44 and will actually show up on your feeds
01:46 if enough people jump in and say,
01:47 yep, this is correct,
01:48 this is, you know, I'm editing this,
01:50 I'm reporting this, whatever,
01:51 and then it will link to supporting evidence.
01:53 And oh my God,
01:54 these community notes have not disappointed.
01:56 All these people on Twitter
01:57 just spew the most random lies,
01:59 they slander people right and left,
02:00 and let's just say that these community notes
02:02 have humbled them real quick.
02:04 (coughing)
02:06 And this is the perfect balance
02:09 because you can still tweet whatever you want,
02:11 you still have free speech on the platform,
02:12 you can post whatever's in your head,
02:14 but you no longer get to convince people
02:16 that your lies are truth.
02:17 One example that I saw people sharing everywhere
02:19 was about this influencer named Chris
02:21 who just tweets nonstop, every day, all day,
02:25 about his undying love for President Biden
02:28 and his absolute hate for Donald Trump and the Republicans.
02:31 I'll jog your memory
02:32 if you do not know who I'm talking about.
02:34 - Hi there, if you don't know who I am,
02:35 my name's Chris Mowry,
02:36 I'm a 21-year-old Gen Z liberal
02:38 who basically screams in my car
02:39 about how much I hate Donald Trump.
02:40 You may recognize me from like,
02:42 frantically screaming in the car,
02:43 that's kinda, that's kinda me.
02:44 - At least he's self-aware and he knows his brand.
02:46 He is also huge on Twitter
02:48 and I talked about him a few months ago
02:49 because he had apparently been hired by the Biden admin
02:53 to get Gen Z riding with Biden
02:56 as we're gearing up for the election
02:57 and then he was denying that he was on the payroll.
02:59 Well, recently he posted another video
03:02 'cause he's posting videos all the time
03:03 about how great Biden is,
03:04 but this one was specifically
03:05 about how wonderful Bidenomics really is.
03:08 Let's just watch this for context.
03:09 - A lot of people are surprised to learn
03:10 how productive the Joe Biden presidency has actually been.
03:13 Like, unemployment is at a 54-year low.
03:15 He's created 13 million jobs.
03:17 Inflation has gone down for like the 14th month in a row.
03:20 He's invested more money than anyone in infrastructure
03:23 in the last like three decades.
03:25 The list goes on and on and on and on.
03:26 He's been inclusive.
03:28 He invests tons of money in mental health care.
03:30 I mean, compare this to the other guy
03:32 who's being indicted one, two, three, four,
03:33 I don't know how many times, on RICO charges.
03:36 He's been impeached twice.
03:37 He's got a second defamation lawsuit.
03:39 He sexually assaults women.
03:40 And the only thing I can ever hear about Joe Biden
03:42 is they're like, "Chris, Joe Biden is old.
03:44 "Joe Biden is old."
03:45 I'm here to tell you right now,
03:47 we don't care.
03:48 (laughs)
03:49 We don't care.
03:50 Right.
03:52 - It's incredibly embarrassing.
03:53 Not only do Republicans not like him,
03:55 but liberals don't like him either
03:56 because they don't actually like Joe Biden.
03:58 Because Joe Biden lied when he was running for president
04:00 saying that he was more progressive than he actually was
04:02 then he got into the presidency.
04:03 And now they're angry because he's not as progressive.
04:05 The right-wingers are angry
04:06 because he's not a Republican, obviously,
04:09 and he's ruining the country.
04:09 Nobody's happy.
04:10 And then there's this 21-year-old TikToker
04:13 who was literally being paid by the Biden admin,
04:16 by the DNC, trying to make everybody think
04:18 that Biden is so great.
04:19 It's like, dude, this is so cringe.
04:20 Anyway, that's just my rant about him.
04:22 I did a whole video about it.
04:23 You can go watch it.
04:24 I just could not stop myself.
04:25 The community notes wanted to make sure
04:26 that everybody on Twitter knew
04:28 why he has such strong opinions about Biden,
04:31 why he's so adamantly in support of Bidenomics
04:34 and all of these policies.
04:35 And of course, it's because Chris's talent agency
04:38 is paid by the DNC, which has been fact-checked.
04:41 And we know now he is paid by them.
04:43 So he did not just come to these opinions by himself.
04:45 He literally is paid to be a shill for Biden,
04:48 which is probably the most embarrassing thing
04:49 I have ever heard.
04:50 This is what we need.
04:51 I don't care if you are making videos
04:53 about how much you love Biden or whatever it is.
04:56 Like, it is totally your prerogative.
04:57 If you're a liberal, I do not care.
04:58 Good for you.
04:59 You can say whatever you want on social media.
05:00 You have free speech.
05:02 But you need to tell people that you are being paid
05:04 to say these things.
05:05 Like, that is pretty important information
05:07 for viewers to know on social media
05:09 when you are being paid by a political candidate.
05:11 And of course, he quickly tried to defend this whole thing
05:13 by tweeting his whole life story
05:15 about why he posts what he posts
05:17 and why he thinks that it's so important.
05:19 But he never denied that he gets paid by the DNC.
05:22 He starts it off and he says he's just a 21-year-old
05:23 Democrat hoping for a better future in America.
05:25 And we're gonna skip down to the important part.
05:26 And he says, "A lot of people assume
05:27 "that I'm paid by the DNC to post on social media.
05:30 "I want you to know that I don't do this for financial gain
05:32 "and everything I say, I truly believe in."
05:34 You could have easily said,
05:35 "A lot of people assume that I'm paid by the DNC."
05:37 No, I'm not, that's a lie.
05:38 But instead, you go, (sputtering)
05:40 reared the car in the opposite direction.
05:42 No, I just really love what I say.
05:44 I do this because politics is something I enjoy
05:46 and I'm passionate about.
05:47 I'm often asked by close friends and family
05:49 how this journey will become a living.
05:50 Frankly, I'm not sure.
05:52 Buddy, we know you're sure.
05:53 We know you already have a talent agent.
05:55 We know that you're getting paid by the DNC.
05:57 It already is a living.
05:58 I'm blessed enough to be in a position
05:59 where I can take on a dream like this
06:00 and have support while I figure it out,
06:01 which I am incredibly grateful for, yada, yada, yada, yada.
06:03 Anyway, the comments were gold.
06:05 Somebody said, "Notice that he said
06:07 "I don't do this for financial gain,
06:08 "but he didn't say he wasn't paid by the DNC."
06:11 Yes, people assume you are paid by the DNC
06:13 because you are and you have a nice Audi, by the way.
06:16 All of these videos where he is screaming in his car,
06:19 "This man is in a new Audi."
06:21 What kind of shit is that?
06:22 DNC money.
06:23 Another person commented and said he gets paid to post.
06:25 Somebody replied and said, "It is baffling
06:26 "that he and Harry are the best the DNC could come up with."
06:28 Oh my God, Harry.
06:30 Oh, I forgot about him.
06:30 He's even worse.
06:31 He yells even more.
06:32 I don't think he's in his car as often, but he is another.
06:35 Grinds my gears, he's also paid by the DNC.
06:37 Anyway, thanks to community notes,
06:39 people in Chris's comments section
06:40 are repeatedly reminding him and reminding everybody else
06:43 that he is a paid arm of propaganda.
06:46 But it's important to note that this added context feature
06:48 has not just targeted influencers
06:50 or regular citizen Twitter users.
06:52 They are also coming for White House officials,
06:55 including one that we just covered a couple of weeks ago,
06:57 Corrine Jean-Pierre.
06:58 Yes, that is the press secretary
07:00 who cannot answer a damn question to save her life.
07:02 And when she does answer a question,
07:04 it is often a straight up lie,
07:05 which we sometimes learn through community notes.
07:07 Here's an example of this one.
07:08 This is from Town Hall.
07:09 Corrine Jean-Pierre claims that it is illegal
07:11 for gay teachers in Florida
07:13 to have pictures of their spouses on their desks.
07:15 And then added context comes in
07:17 and says this claim is untrue.
07:18 It is not illegal in Florida for a teacher
07:20 to have a picture of the same sex spouse on their desk.
07:22 And then cites where it is not illegal.
07:24 It's just amazing.
07:25 Like no wonder the elites and people in government
07:27 want to silence, discredit, and shut down Elon,
07:30 because he is coming for people in our government.
07:32 He is holding them accountable
07:34 for the BS that they spew on a daily basis.
07:37 Somebody commented and said, "Notes strike again."
07:39 They're gonna start seeing that they can't just lie
07:41 and get away with it.
07:42 - Nice argument, Senator.
07:43 Why don't you back it up with a source?
07:45 - My source is that I made it the (quack) up.
07:47 - Now so many people assume that Elon
07:49 is only doing this to the left
07:50 and that this is all very politically motivated
07:52 or that he does not take any responsibility
07:54 for the things that he tweets.
07:55 But he, the owner of Twitter,
07:57 has literally gotten community noted himself
08:00 on multiple occasions,
08:01 as well as political figures and influencers on the right
08:03 have also gotten community noted.
08:04 Ex-Twitter went into a tizzy
08:06 when Elon said that he was going to be getting rid
08:08 of the block feature.
08:09 And he tweeted this and said,
08:11 "Block is going to get deleted as a feature,
08:13 "except for DMs."
08:14 And then the added context came in,
08:16 "Elon Musk cannot do this.
08:17 "The feature to block somebody on the site
08:19 "is required as a social media app
08:21 "to be allowed on the App Store and the Google Play Store."
08:23 Added context strikes again.
08:25 Somebody commented and said, "Checkmate, lol."
08:27 Somebody else said, "Watch him get rid
08:28 "of community notes next."
08:30 Thankfully not, because then my entertainment
08:32 on that platform would just plummet.
08:34 Now my friend Jack Mack also made a TikTok
08:36 about this one dude who got community noted
08:38 who was hating on liberals.
08:39 So you cannot just say that Elon
08:41 is only going after one side.
08:42 This video cracks me up.
08:43 You know I love Jack.
08:44 This is just a great one.
08:45 - Community notes being added on Twitter
08:47 is one of the greatest things ever.
08:49 So there's this guy, GLP Josh.
08:51 He puts out this photo of himself saying,
08:53 "I'm an alpha, liberals fear me,
08:56 "the conservative crusader."
08:57 - So cringe. - And you look at this photo
08:59 of him, he looks a little bit off.
09:00 His actual identity is shown on his profile and this link.
09:04 Now this is an actual photo of Josh.
09:06 This is how he edited himself to look on his,
09:11 I'm an alpha photo.
09:13 (laughing)
09:14 Oh my God.
09:15 And Josh came back with abolished community notes.
09:18 Oh, I think we're gonna keep it.
09:20 - God, it's so bad.
09:21 The right can be just as cringe as the left.
09:23 I'm so sorry.
09:24 Like I love y'all, but step it down a notch, seriously.
09:28 - This is a load of barnacles.
09:31 - Somebody said, "Looking like an AI generated image."
09:33 That's because it is, my friends.
09:35 Somebody else said, "Community notes are brutal.
09:37 "I love them."
09:38 It's literally the best part of Twitter now.
09:39 I sit there with my popcorn watching all of this go down.
09:42 Sometimes people will even start debating
09:43 the community notes, like, "No, you're wrong."
09:46 It's like, give it up, please.
09:47 But it is high quality entertainment.
09:49 And I love this because it feels like
09:50 we're finally getting the truth.
09:51 And that is so important, especially in the meat industry.
09:54 Which is why I love being partners with Good Ranchers.
09:57 You obviously care about what your family eats
09:59 and so does Good Ranchers.
10:00 And that is why they have spent years
10:01 building relationships with local farms
10:03 to source the best 100% American beef, chicken, pork,
10:06 and now wild-caught seafood too.
10:08 The best of the land and sea can now
10:10 get conveniently delivered to your door.
10:11 And right now they are offering two years
10:14 of free ground beef to anybody who subscribes,
10:16 which is a $480 value.
10:18 That is two years of free, high quality ground beef
10:21 and a locked-in price.
10:22 No other meat company guarantees you
10:24 100% American meat and a locked-in price.
10:26 That is because nobody else is Good Ranchers.
10:29 You can save on your beef, chicken, and your pork
10:31 by locking in your price today.

10:36 to make meal time easy.
10:37 And you can rest assured knowing that your products
10:39 are 100% American raised and processed.
10:41 So go to goodranchers.com today
10:43 and use my code Cooper for $25 off
10:45 and you'll get free ground beef for two years.
10:47 Again, that's goodranchers.com
10:48 and use my code Cooper for over $500 in savings.
10:51 You know something else that is just as entertaining
10:53 as the added context notes?
10:55 Good Ranchers comments.
10:57 They are in every comment section on every news outlet.
11:00 It is amazing.
11:01 Those two are peak entertainment.
11:02 Anyway, and this last one that I could not stop laughing
11:05 about that is not even remotely political
11:07 is that the community notes cited the Bible
11:10 for a tweet misquoting the Bible.
11:12 This is from Tiff Shuttleworth and he said,
11:14 "Fact, God has never made a single drop of alcohol.
11:17 "The earth has never produced a single drop of alcohol.
11:19 "100% of all wine and alcohol is manufactured
11:21 "by fallen men.
11:22 "Nothing good ever comes out of alcohol."
11:25 Readers added context.
11:26 Jesus turned water into wine.
11:28 Source, the Bible.
11:29 (claps)
11:31 It's too good we have to laugh at this.
11:39 Even though I am making jokes and these were very funny,
11:41 this is a really, really wonderful feature
11:43 that I really, really like.
11:44 And even though I was worried about it at the beginning,
11:46 I have come to really appreciate it and trust it
11:48 because in a world where we cannot get direct
11:51 or truthful answers from our government officials
11:53 and representatives and the leading voices online,
11:55 I love having this feature because it humbles people
11:57 who have previously felt like they are totally untouchable
12:00 and that they're backed by these fact-checking sites
12:02 like Snopes and it just provides us with primo content,
12:05 which is the best combination because as we all know,
12:07 politics is basically just a reality TV
12:09 and sometimes we just have to laugh
12:10 'cause if we're not laughing, we're crying
12:12 and there's a lot to cry about
12:13 in the United States government.
12:15 Thank you for watching the comment section.
12:20 If you wanna see more videos just like this,
12:21 make sure to subscribe to this channel,

12:27 you can follow me on Instagram and Twitter
12:29 at I'm Brett Cooper.
