00:00 The National Wages and Productivity Commission has approved an additional payment
00:05 to the minimum wage earners in Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and Soc Sargen.
00:10 According to the Department of Labor and Employment,
00:13 more than Php 682,000 will benefit from the alleged wage hike.
00:18 For Cagayan Valley, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards approved
00:24 a additional P30 payment to be implemented in two parts.
00:28 The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards will also be given a P500 additional salary
00:32 to the households in Region 2, where their monthly salary will be more than Php 5,500.
00:40 Central Luzon approved a P40 additional salary to the non-agricultural,
00:49 agricultural, and retail and service establishments.
00:52 Meanwhile, in Soc Sargen, the workers received a P35 additional salary
00:59 divided into two parts, P22 for the time it will be effective
01:04 and P13 for the second tranche, which will be implemented on January 1, 2024.
01:09 The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards also approved a P500 additional salary to the households.
01:16 According to the DOLE, all regulations on the increase in salary will be implemented on September 30, 2023
01:24 and will be effective after October 16, 2023.
