00:00 Wheeler Dealers star Mike Brewer gives sad update on stolen classic car
00:08 Wheeler Dealers' Mike Brewer has given a sad update on the fate of the rare MK1 Ford Fiesta
00:20 he shares with co-star Mark Priestley, after the pair revealed the precious classic car
00:25 had been swiped back in June. Mike Brewer of Wheeler Dealers has taken to
00:35 Twitter to explain that his stolen vintage Fiesta hasn't been found, following inquiries
00:41 from concerned fans. At Chris Bedford 17 quizzed, "Did you find
00:53 your stolen car after. Sick?" only for the Ford ambassador to tell his 148,000 followers
01:00 that the classic model is sadly still missing. At We're Travelling It branded the crime
01:11 absolutely sickening, while at Sam Thebmann lamented, "It's probably in pieces and sold
01:16 off by now." "Was the only dampener on what was a fantastic
01:26 day at Motorist," at Andy Mortimer 6 added, in reference to a car show at which Mike had
01:32 been planning to showcase the vehicle. This particular model was especially significant
01:44 as the car represented Ford's first ever venture into producing front-wheel drive vehicles
01:49 around the world, back in the 1970s. Mike and his Wheeler Dealers co-star Mark
02:00 Priestley had published a video at the time explaining how heartbroken they were that
02:05 it had been taken. Pleading with the public to help, Mark stated,
02:15 "We are heartbroken and it's a car that deserves to be out there for the world to
02:19 see, not squirreled away on the back of some thief's trailer."
02:29 Mike sadly yet proudly added, "This has been a nuts and bolts restoration. I dare to say
02:35 that we've possibly built the best MK1 Ford Fiesta in this country. It really is this
02:41 good." The pair can be seen on their Discovery Channel
02:50 show as they restore vintage vehicles to their former glory before attempting to sell them
02:55 on at a profit. In one interview published on Take to the
03:04 Road last year, Mike recalled how had burst into tears at the fate of one car owner, Mark,
03:10 who can be seen in Episode 2, Series 2.
