00:00 26 critically endangered hawksbill turtles were rescued in Sorsogon.

00:05 In Davao del Norte, a man was hit by a police officer.

00:09 Here is the first news.

00:11 A man, aged 16, was hit in the back and forehead by a police officer in Asuncion, Davao del Norte.

00:23 According to Michael Villarosa, he was approached by Police Corporal Marjun Pantonial while at the police station.

00:29 He was hit by a police officer and I called him.

00:32 I told him not to shoot because I was afraid that he would be caught by the police.

00:38 He was a civilian.

00:40 I called him and he was not answering.

00:45 He was lying on the ground.

00:48 I tried to push him with a ballast and I hit him with a wooden stick.

00:55 He was put in a patrol car with four police officers.

00:58 He was brought to Asuncion Municipal Police Station and he was beaten by Pantonial.

01:04 In an investigation, the victim and Pantonial had a fight.

01:07 They reached the barangay gym because there was an activity.

01:11 Allegedly, the police beat him and he was hit by a stick.

01:17 GMA Regional TV One Mindanao tried to get Pantonial's record but the authorities did not talk to him.

01:23 Pantonial was put under restrictive custody and he was forced to surrender his gun.

01:28 The victim's family planned to file a complaint against the police.

01:31 In Baguio, the victim was charged with almost P70,000 in humanoid shabu in a bypass operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

01:41 He was also charged with drug paraphernalia.

01:43 Five suspects were arrested, namely Mayra Ruiz, Ulises De Asis, Bonjovi Javeliana, Ace Amigo, and Mark Lawrence Bungkag.

01:51 They were not released.

01:53 In Barcelona, Sor Sugon, 26 Hawksbill turtles were rescued in the barangay Makabiri.

02:00 This was followed by a report to the Provincial Government and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office of the DENR in Sor Sugon where the hatchlings were stranded.

02:08 The turtles were returned to the sea.

02:10 According to the DENR, the Hawksbill turtle is considered a critically endangered species or a potential endangered species known as "Karahan".
