00:19 I spoke to Cork's founder Jonathan Piggins about the industry, the business
00:24 and what makes Kent's own wine so special. They love it. You get various
00:31 different reactions but the most prevalent reaction is "oh my word I
00:37 didn't realise that England made so many different wines and Kent made so many
00:41 different wines" and then they taste it and they go "wow it's really rather good
00:46 isn't it?" It's very well made wine. So it's in a way sort of it brings joy,
00:53 it's a journey of discovery for a lot of people which is why we have the machines
00:58 as well so they can they can sort of try many different varieties and many
01:03 different vineyards and winemakers but we also do wines by the glass as
01:08 well so people can just sit down relax and enjoy a glass of English sparkling
01:12 or an English still wine. Their most impressive claim is that of Clive Barlow,
01:17 their resident master of wine, a prestigious title that is only held by
01:22 400 experts worldwide. But don't be fooled into thinking this is any simple
01:28 winery. Cork is very with the times as Jonathan showed me with the wine
01:32 sampling technology that Cork has. This is our enomatic machine where you can
01:39 try lots of different wines. So we have English wines, we've got six English
01:44 white wines here and on the other side we've got four English red wines and
01:49 what you do is you get one of these lovely little cards, you put some money
01:51 on it, you slot it into the machine and what it enables you to do is actually
01:57 choose different sizes so you can have a sample size, a large sample or a glass
02:01 but it means that you can discover lots of different wines. I'm just going to
02:06 have a lovely bit of the Wayfairer Pinot Gris. Jonathan tells me that he sees
02:10 many tourists who are visiting from overseas for the town and Cathedral were
02:14 drawn in to sample some Kentish wine so I just had to try some.
