00:00 Delhi police have reportedly found that Canada-based Khalistani terrorist Arshdeep Dalla has links
00:06 with Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba and wanted to target Hindu leaders in Punjab.
00:12 This assumes significance against the backdrop of the massive diplomatic row between India
00:17 and Canada.
00:18 The Khalistani terrorist's plan to target leaders of Hindu outfits and BJP's ideological
00:24 arm Rashtriya Swaimsevak Sangh or RSS had emerged during a crackdown by Delhi police
00:30 against two terror suspects earlier this year.
00:33 In January, the police conducted a raid in Delhi's Jahangirpuri and arrested Jagjit
00:37 Singh Jagga and Naushad following an arms recovery.
00:41 The two were later charged under the Stringent Unlawful Activities Prevention Act or UAPA.
00:46 According to a Delhi police charge sheet filed in court two months back, Jagga revealed during
00:51 the interrogation that he was in touch with Dalla.
00:54 The charge sheet said that the Canada-based Khalistani terrorist had asked Jagga to prepare
00:58 for terror activities in Punjab.
01:01 Dalla was reportedly in touch with Suhail, who is a Lashkar handler.
01:05 The arrested terror suspects had also told police that on the instruction of Suhail and
01:09 Dalla, they murdered a Hindu boy at Delhi's Jahangirpuri and chopped off his head.
01:14 They also recorded a video and sent it to Suhail and Dalla.
01:17 Police sources had then said that Naushad and Jagga had sent the video to prove their
01:21 loyalty and that they had received Rs 2 lakh for committing the heinous crime.
01:26 Sources said that Dalla had the complete backing of Pakistan's ISI and Lashkar-e-Taiba.
01:31 It is also learned that Dalla was close to Nijjar and to Khalistani terrorist Sukhdool
01:35 Singh, who was recently killed in a gang war in Canada.
01:39 According to reports, 27-year-old Dalla is from Mogar district in Punjab and is an accused
01:44 in at least 25 cases.
01:46 The charges invoked against him include murder, criminal conspiracy and cases registered under
01:51 Arms Act and anti-drugs law.
01:53 Ties between New Delhi and Ottawa have strained after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
01:57 alleged that Indian agents were behind the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh
02:01 Nijjar in June this year.
02:04 India responded strongly, calling the allegations "absurd" and "motivated".
02:08 What followed was a series of tit-for-tat moves and advisories as India and Canada expelled
02:13 envoys and warned their citizens against visits.
