00:00 If you played Cyberpunk 2077, you know how incredible it was.
00:04 Yes, the initial release of Cyberpunk was a nightmare for both players and developer
00:09 CD Projekt Red, but with the Phantom Liberty DLC, the game has not only received an overhaul
00:14 that makes it better, but builds upon its greatest strengths.
00:19 Story-wise, DualShockers reports that following the incident involving the Arasaka's Relic
00:24 biochip which implanted Johnny Silverhand's construct into their head, V, that's you,
00:31 receives a call from enigmatic Netrunner SongSoMe.
00:34 She offers a potential cure for your unique condition, but there's a catch.
00:38 You must undertake a dangerous mission that takes V straight into Dogtown, a new district
00:44 within Night City controlled by a military organization.
00:48 According to IGN, while Phantom Liberty isn't required to install the 2.0 update for the
00:53 game, the newly reworked skill tree makes it easier to build your character towards
00:58 specific playstyles.
00:59 Whether you're pursuing a hacker build, augment build, or something else, 2023's Cyberpunk
01:05 2077 is a much better experience than it was in 2020.
01:10 And this is the only DLC that Cyberpunk is going to get.
01:14 According to Video Games Chronicle, there's an element of sadness to it, thinking about
01:18 what could have been if the launch game was up to the standard Phantom Liberty is today.
01:24 But at the very least, it means that CD Projekt can move on to its next project, safe in the
01:30 knowledge that Cyberpunk 2077 was left in an excellent state.
