00:00 Another security screening officer was also involved in this incident.

00:03 He was the one who took the items from a passenger in Naia Terminal 2.

00:08 When the security camera was taken from the departure area,

00:11 the security officer opened the luggage and took two packages inside.

00:17 He put them in an airport bin and put them on the floor.

00:21 Another airport bin was also covered and placed aside.

00:25 The security officer explained that the packages contained chocolate

00:30 were given to him by a passenger.

00:32 But according to the Office for Transportation Security,

00:35 the violation of Republic Act 6713 or Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards

00:41 for public officials and employees was clearly seen.

00:44 That Saturday, the security officer was given his termination paper.

00:50 He also took his ID and uniform.

00:54 According to the OTS, they were also looking at the possible angle

00:58 where the screening officer might have stolen something.
