01:07 This comes months after Ringo's Beatles bandmate,
01:10 Paul McCartney, announced the band's releasing
01:12 a new record using artificial intelligence.
01:15 When we were making the record and stuff,
01:17 it'd be really immodest to say,
01:18 I think we're the best band around.
01:20 Couldn't really get away with that.
01:23 Looking back, you know, I'm a big Beatles fan.
01:25 I think we were one hot band.
01:27 And Ringo and I, whenever we get together,
01:29 we look at each other, we just go, damn good group.
01:32 Great band.
01:33 You know, that's our sort of feeling.
01:36 In a new interview with BBC Radio,
01:38 Paul explains the technology was used to extricate
01:41 the late John Lennon's vocals from an old demo
01:44 to complete the song.
01:45 In reference to AI, Paul says,
01:47 it's a very interesting thing.
01:49 It's something we're all sort of tackling at the moment
01:51 in terms of trying to deal with what it means.
01:54 I'm out there, Paul's out there.
01:56 You know, we are still musicians.
01:59 We were in the biggest band in the land.
02:02 No band bigger.
02:03 But in that band were four musicians.
02:07 And we're still doing what we love to do.
02:09 And that is perform, you know, and play our instruments.
02:13 And during a chat with Variety,
02:15 Ringo offered his own clarity on the project,
02:18 saying it's not down to AI
02:20 and it's not like they're pretending anything.
02:22 That is actually John's voice,
02:24 Paul's voice and bass playing,
02:26 George on rhythm guitar and me on drums.
02:29 And the two things that are new
02:30 are Paul's bass and me on drums.
02:32 I mean, I love playing with him.
02:34 What a brother, brother, you know?
02:36 Ringo says it works,
02:37 despite all the madness going on around it,
02:40 adding it's still a beautiful track and our last track.
02:44 I thought that was a beautiful thing.
02:46 As for why the song's making a return now,
02:48 in Ringo fashion, he jokes,
02:50 "I don't know, Paul must've had a slow day."
