Sydney airport faces a busy day as school holidays begin

Sydney airport is gearing up for an influx of passengers in and out of the city as the school holidays begin.

00:08 As you can see, there are big crowds here at the domestic terminal at Sydney Airport

00:13 and the airport is warning people that they should expect a busy but not chaotic experience.

00:19 Of course, the school holiday season has kicked off.

00:23 Private school and independent school children had their last day of term yesterday, while

00:27 public schools had their last day today.

00:30 So many families may have wanted to pull their kids out of school early today so they can

00:34 get started on their holidays.

00:36 And Sydney Airport says that they're expecting that this is going to be the busiest holiday

00:41 season for international travel since before COVID.

00:45 And we spoke to some travellers here at Sydney Airport earlier.
