00:00 I'm Ollie Tester and welcome to Tester Park. So one day I was mucking around on Google Maps and
00:07 the park crossroad didn't have a name and I pressed the wrong button and it asked me to
00:12 suggest one and so I put in Tester Park as a bit of a joke and all of a sudden it started
00:18 appearing on the maps. Since I've done that it started popping up all over the place, it was
00:22 popping up in advertisements for sort of houses for sale around the area, it started being used
00:28 on social media by members of our local community and then since then it's popped up on apps like
00:34 Uber and now it's known within the community as Tester Park.
00:40 This part here was the original part of the park and since then they've added in all of
00:50 the seating area and then the bike track down the bottom and then they've added in this part
00:54 here which is a real favourite for a lot of the families. Even though Tester Park isn't an
01:01 official name given by the ACT government, it's really important that it now has an identity
01:07 and so the local community often organise local barbecues or picnics and so people know it as
01:16 Tester Park and it's a meeting place for people so I think it's really important to have names
01:21 for places because it actually gives the local community and people some relatability to that
01:28 place and then from there people have ownership over it and look after it and care for it.
