Massive landspout touches down in rural Kansas after heavy storms

A mini-tornado was spotted swirling over a rural area following heavy storms and severe rainfall.

A video filmed in Nekoma, Kansas, USA shows the "landspout" forming over farmers' fields.

The small twister is similar to a full-blown tornado but usually only lasts for a couple of minutes, experts say.

Isolated storms and heavy rainfall hit the local area of Rush County from Tuesday night and rain is expected to continue until Thursday.

The footage was captured on September 19.
