00:00 If you know Syracuse football, then you know Justin Barron, a junior who is a leader on the team on the defense side and someone who is a well-respected captain on the team.
00:09 But one thing you may not know about him is what an important part his family plays in his playing career.
00:14 At every single game, home or away, you can expect to see one of the Barron members in the stands.
00:20 And for him, he says that brings a sense of purpose in his play, knowing that he always has people to play for with his family.
00:27 And that special connection between football and his family is something that has been going on from a very young age.
00:33 The earliest memory that I have is after a youth football game. I was walking off the field.
00:40 I think it was the first game. I used to play right guard because I was just bigger than everyone.
00:44 And I switched to running back for one game and I scored twice in like four carries, I think it was.
00:51 And I was walking off field with my mom, my grandfather holding hands with both of them.
00:54 And I told him I was born to play football. And that's a story my mom has always told everyone from when she knew I was supposed to play football.
01:00 And that's just that's one to stick with me.
01:03 I'm Sydney Supley, Syracuse on FN.
