00:37 The price of rice is falling because of more supply.

00:42 I heard that in Pasig Mega Market, they're selling rice for up to 300 pesos per sack.

00:49 And I heard that they're also lowering their price of up to 5 pesos per kilo.

00:54 Meanwhile, some sellers said that they have reduced the limitation of selling rice for P41.45 per kilo.

01:03 Before, they only allowed to buy 1 kilo of rice to give more to the people who want to buy cheaper rice.

01:11 The better quality of P41.45 per kilo of rice that is being sold now is being noticed by the buyers.

01:22 Maybe that's just in Pasig Mega Market. Is it the same in other markets?

01:28 The Department of Agriculture is also monitoring the price of rice in other markets in Metro Manila.

01:38 In the market price of Kagawaan, the lowest price they saw was P40 for local regular milled rice,

01:45 while P43 per kilo for local well-milled rice.

01:49 The price of local premium rice has also fallen to P49 per kilo, while P54 per kilo for special rice.

01:58 Kagawaan is hoping that the price of rice will continue to fall while more rice will be sold by the farmers.
