Giant Declare 4 out for Week 3

The Giants have declared four players out for their Week 3 game at San Francisco.

00:00 As expected, the New York Giants had declared running back Saquon Barkley

00:03 out of Thursday night's game versus the 49ers.

00:06 Head coach Brian Dable had left the door open just a bit for

00:09 Barkley's return from a sprained ankle when he spoke to the media on Tuesday,

00:14 saying that the running back was feeling a bit better.

00:17 But realistically, there really wasn't a chance of him being ready four days after

00:21 suffering the injury.

00:22 Nor did it make sense, given that the team has 11 days in between the 49ers game and

00:27 their next game, that being at home on Monday Night Football against

00:31 the Seattle Seahawks.

00:33 In addition to Barkley, left tackle Andrew Thomas, left guard Ben Bredesen,

00:37 and outside linebacker Aziz Ojugbeleri have all been declared out.

00:41 Inside linebacker Micah McFadden, who has a neck injury, and receiver Wanda Robinson,

00:47 who's still working his way back from an ACL injury, are listed as questionable.

00:52 Robinson, who was listed as doubtful last week,

00:54 is trending toward a return sooner than later.

00:57 Though again, it might make sense to let him take advantage of the 11 day break
