A woman who gave birth at 15 is now a gran - at just 33.

Ruth Clayton had daughter Rose in 2005 while still at school.

Rose then had her own daughter last year aged 18 - making Ruth one of Britain's youngest grandmothers.

Support worker Ruth, from Lincoln, says she initially tried to talk Rose out of having birth.

But she is now delighted with granddaughter Cora.

Ruth, now 34, said: "Once I knew Rose was serious about having this baby I was fully on board and so so excited.

"I met up with her boyfriend's family. They were so amazing; they are the most amazing family.

00:06 My name is Ruth. I live in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.
00:10 I got pregnant at 14 and was very scared,
00:16 planned an abortion,
00:20 and just couldn't go through with it.
00:26 I just didn't know, I didn't know what was going to happen.
00:29 I didn't want to be on the dole with a child.
00:32 I just always wanted more than that.
00:35 It is literally the best thing ever.
00:37 I was so scared, I was so scared when she told me.
00:41 I just thought, no, it's not happening.
00:45 I was scared to tell my mum.
00:48 But, just again, it couldn't have worked out any better at all.
00:54 She's a lovely mother and I love being a grandma, definitely.
00:59 I get to look after her and play with her and then get to go to bed at night.
01:04 Because I've done it and I'm not doing it again.
01:07 But, yeah, definitely, it's just great.
01:10 I love them when they come round and we meet up in town.
01:13 It's just made my little family a little bit bigger.
01:18 I think the best thing about being a grandma is that everyone says,
01:22 "No, you're not."
01:24 That's actually the best thing I'm like, "Yeah, I am."
01:28 So, maybe that's the best thing, actually.
01:30 I'm probably just holding her.
01:33 I can't wait for her to talk and have secret conversations
01:37 and take her out for secret outings and take her to the fun fair and the circus
01:43 and just do everything.
01:44 I just want to do everything with her. I do.
01:47 I like it. It's not challenging.
01:50 People said to me that it would be challenging and I was like, "It's not."
01:54 I find it's just an extra few things that add to my routine,
01:57 like getting a dress, giving her a bottle and changing a bottle.
02:01 It's just normal life for me.
02:03 And you love playing with her. You play with her all the time.
02:06 Yeah, I get to giggle every day.
02:09 And I like to organise all her clothes.
02:11 She's very good.
02:13 Take your shoes off.
02:15 Put your socks on.
02:17 What's this?
02:21 Are you bouncing?
