00:00 It was a little daunting trying to submerge myself into George Lucas' world

00:06 because it is done on such a major platform.

00:20 It kind of blew me away. I was so taken by the special effects alone.

00:25 You just become enveloped in what he's created and just sort of every little nuance to detail

00:30 that he pays attention to is just unbelievable.

00:33 Almost the joy of getting to be in a film that involves so much blue screen

00:37 and having to work in sort of non-environments

00:40 is that when you actually get to see the final product

00:42 it is that you get that fresh impression almost like any other audience member would.

00:48 I went out to Australia about a month before we started

00:51 just to learn how to wield a lightsaber, which was just barrels of fun.

00:55 It was something that was fun to itself just because of the action that I was doing

01:01 and the fight choreographer, Nick Gillard, is also a hoot.

01:05 And we trained for about five hours every day and it was extensive work

01:12 but something that I thoroughly enjoyed, knowing that eventually what I was holding was gonna be lit up

01:18 and John Williams' music was gonna be superimposed on top of that. It was really nice.

01:23 What made it unique for me at least was, I guess, sort of the aspect of real human interaction

01:29 and sense of relationship. I mean, the last trilogy had that as well

01:35 but just the relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan

01:40 and Padme and Anakin and I think there's more honesty in it.

01:47 The love story with Natalie is obviously a pivotal theme for both the Star Wars saga

01:53 and especially for my character because it's something that leads Anakin towards the dark side almost.

02:01 It's something that he's forbidden to really experience

02:06 and something that he also feels so passionately about that it creates this huge conflict in him

02:12 and it's that conflict and sort of uncertainty that forces him to follow his own instincts

02:21 more so than the guidance of Obi-Wan and sort of the ways of the Jedi

02:27 and ultimately the beginning of his own downfall.

02:30 I think I need to wipe out the entire Jedi race and I think at some point I get to wear the dark helm

02:37 and really get to wear full Darth Vader garb.

02:41 There has to be a huge falling out between Obi-Wan and I where it leads to a big fight

02:45 so we're going to do that.
