00:00 The soap industry just suffered a huge heartbreak loss of our very own Young and the Restless star, Billy Miller.
00:05 Just when he was about to turn 44 years old, he was found dead at his house,
00:09 and his mother has just released the real reason behind his passing away.
00:12 Let's get into the details right away.
00:14 The Young and the Restless star, Billy Miller, was a total gem.
00:22 He was the kindest, purest, and most loving man out there, but life had other plans for him.
00:27 Billy's journey to soap started in 2007 when he landed a role in All My Children as Richie Novak,
00:33 and after working there for a year, he went on to join the Young and the Restless as Billy Abbott in 2008.
00:38 He was a recast and showcased his talent to the world with absolute perfection.
00:42 He also earned himself three Daytime Emmy Awards and countless nominations.
00:46 After making his exit from YNR, it was announced in 2014 that he would be joining the cast of General Hospital as Jason Morgan.
00:53 Then, after five years, he again made his exit in July 2019.
00:57 Born on September 17th, Billy passed away two days before his 44th birthday.
01:02 Billy's manager, Marnie Sparer, issued an official statement that said,
01:06 "Billy Miller died on September 15th, 2023, in Austin, Texas."
01:11 He also revealed that the actor was struggling with manic depression when he died.
01:14 After this heartbreaking news, all his co-stars and loved ones shared their condolences
01:19 and memories of Miller all over their social media pages.
01:21 But after his death was announced, many people online started spreading rumors and misleading information.
01:26 So his mom, Patricia Miller, has a message for everyone.
01:30 She started her statement by first expressing her gratitude to everyone,
01:33 "I want to thank the many fans and personal friends for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers,
01:37 and condolences sent to me and my family on the devastating death of my beautiful son BJ, Bill Miller.
01:42 He fought a long, hard, valiant battle with bipolar depression for years."
01:46 Patricia continued, "He did everything he could to control the disease.
01:50 He loved his family, his friends, and his fans, but in the end, the disease won the fight, and he surrendered his life."
01:56 Then she made it clear that the other causes of death being told are not true.
02:00 "I wish they were but they just aren't, as there had been multiple speculations."
02:04 Lastly, she said, "We all loved him so much and are trying desperately to deal with our loss."
02:09 I will have nothing further to say.
02:11 Thanks for the love and support!
02:13 The official Twitter page of YNR wrote,
02:15 "Billy Miller was a talented man with a heart of gold and always lit up the scene with amazing performances.
02:20 He will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathies to his family and all who loved him."
02:25 Jess Walton wrote,
02:26 "RIP to my precious Billy Miller. You were and are much loved by all of us who knew you."
02:31 Elizabeth Hendrickson also took it to her Instagram to share some of his memories and gave a heartfelt and emotional message,
02:36 "Today I should have been sending you a happy birthday text BJ."
02:39 She went on to recall some memories with him and lastly ended her post with,
02:42 "I hope you know that we are all here now texting each other, sending pictures, and sharing memories of how awesome you were.
02:47 This hole in my heart will never be filled. Good night. Sweet Billy."
02:51 Melissa Claire Egan wrote on Twitter,
02:53 "My beautiful friend. I love you. I'm so sad. And I'm so sorry."
02:58 And along with them many other stars like Eric Braden, Beth Maitland, Kate Linder, Daniel Goddard,
03:03 YNR alum Doug Davidson, and more from General Hospital, all my children, as well as bold and beautiful casts and fans.
03:10 We can't even imagine what Patricia and the whole family have been going through.
03:13 Losing your son at such an early age can be very hard to handle.
03:17 We wish the best for the Miller family and send our condolences to all his loved ones.
03:21 His memories will always stay in our minds and live on through his work in the industry.
