00:00 Q. And with Tammy, who's holding a charity event in memory of her mum Kim, a lot of people
00:05 know your mum because she was involved in a lot of charity events in Hartlepool, am
00:08 I right in thinking that?
00:09 A. Yeah, she did things quite a lot of years ago, raising money, things like doing a barrel
00:14 race. She also was involved in a lot of taekwondo and kickboxing events and things that she
00:20 took part in and she was an instructor. She taught quite a lot of kids and adults in the
00:26 area when she was working there at Eldon Grove.
00:29 Q. So she'll certainly be well known?
00:30 A. Yeah, definitely. She also worked in the local shopping centre as a security guard
00:35 so she'll be well known from the town centre, even though it was 20 years ago, but she was
00:39 still a character and she was well known.
00:41 Q. It's getting held at the Clippy Club, which is in Whitby Street, off Church Street
01:04 in Hartlepool. Tickets are selling for £3. All the money that raises is going to the
01:09 Anthony Nolan Trust, which is something that's close to us. Just before Mam passed away,
01:17 we had a large event in the Hartlepool Middle Grades Shopping Centre and we actually had
01:23 340 people sign up to the bone marrow register. Unfortunately, that same night was when we
01:28 found out there was nothing else they could do for my mam. But we like to think that we're
01:32 still out there trying to do what we can for other people and help them save lives of people
01:37 with blood cancer.
01:38 Good luck with it and have a good night.
01:40 - Thank you.
