00:20:38 Ain't nothing good, ain't nothing fun, ain't nothing great.
00:20:42 You tell them, how's the sun?
00:20:43 The sun is good, but it's too hot.
00:20:46 The sun is good, but it's too cold.
00:20:48 It ain't warm enough, it's cold enough.
00:20:50 Dang, give me five pepperonis.
00:20:52 Shut up!
00:20:52 How many of you have just seen somebody,
00:21:00 when they start talking,
00:21:01 your eyes start turning into funnels
00:21:03 and you just look.
00:21:04 And you just want to shut them up.
00:21:08 (audience cheering)
00:21:11 Blah.
00:21:17 Never happened.
00:21:20 Never pleased.
00:21:22 Just blah.
00:21:25 And it ain't that you didn't have a great day,
00:21:28 it's that you're stuck at a meaningless moment.
00:21:31 So even when it's a great day,
00:21:32 you're anticipating the next day not to be great.
00:21:35 And look at me, look at me.
00:21:36 You will always get what you anticipate.
00:21:39 I just read an article, literally,
00:21:47 from a woman who died from a disease she didn't have.
00:21:51 'Cause she thought she did.
00:21:55 You will think yourself into an early grave.
00:22:05 You will think yourself into stress.
00:22:07 That is not a herniated disc, it's stress.
00:22:12 It's not that you sleeping on your shoulder wrong,
00:22:18 it's that you sleep so tense.
00:22:21 The reason why your rotator cuff is torn
00:22:28 is because you fighting in your sleep.
00:22:30 And then you can't say,
00:22:32 "I don't know where I hurt myself, in the bed."
00:22:34 I'm telling you, you can get so stressed out and so old
00:22:39 that you can be in the hospital for five days for sneezing.
00:22:41 Anybody know what I'm talking about?
00:22:42 You just be walking, achoo, ka-pow, everything just break.
00:22:45 Don't act like you ain't never got a crook
00:22:50 in your neck from just sneezing.
00:22:52 You can get so stressed out,
00:22:53 you gotta brush yourself for sneezing.
00:22:55 Achoo!
00:22:56 All right, I survived that one.
00:23:02 Holler at your boy if I'm talking to you.
00:23:04 Psalms 42 is what's called a maskule.
00:23:11 The word maskule means to give instruction to the wise
00:23:14 or to direct wisely.
00:23:16 The text says that the instruction is for the sons of Korah.
00:23:20 This is important.
00:23:22 This is important because the Bible tells us
00:23:25 that there are at least four Korahs in the Bible.
00:23:28 Okay, now this is why this is important.
00:23:30 Because the first Korah was the son of Esau.
00:23:35 The second Korah was the grandson of Esau.
00:23:38 The third was related to Moses
00:23:40 because his father's name was Hebron.
00:23:42 We're not talking about any three of those.
00:23:44 And if we were, this would change the name
00:23:47 of the entire sermon.
00:23:48 But it is this particular Korah that we're talking to
00:23:51 that makes me tell you that there's a way out of blah
00:23:55 and there's a way out of this desperation
00:23:57 because this Korah that we're talking about
00:24:00 is the one that instigated the insurrection
00:24:03 against Aaron and Moses in the wilderness.
00:24:06 So while Aaron and Moses were in the wilderness
00:24:08 leading a group of people, I'm about to shout
00:24:11 because what I'm about to say
00:24:12 is about to set somebody free.
00:24:14 Listen, I don't need you to wait
00:24:16 until I give you this point to be on the edge of your seat.
00:24:20 I need somebody by faith to know
00:24:21 that I'm about to say something so cold
00:24:23 that it's about to shake up the way you see life.
00:24:29 This Korah that we're talking about
00:24:32 tried to lead an insurrection against Moses and Aaron
00:24:36 when they were walking in the wilderness.
00:24:38 And the Bible says that as they were trying
00:24:42 to set up a group of people to say,
00:24:45 Moses ain't no good leader.
00:24:47 We need to mount up and go against Moses.
00:24:51 Moses got us out here in this wilderness.
00:24:53 We're about to die.
00:24:54 Who with me?
00:24:55 And the Bible says that he had 250 men.
00:24:59 To get alongside of his plan
00:25:03 to get rid of Moses and Aaron.
00:25:05 And somehow, all of a sudden,
00:25:07 the Bible says as they were walking,
00:25:10 the earth swallowed him up.
00:25:12 (congregation laughing)
00:25:15 Y'all not listening to me.
00:25:17 Literally, there are 2 million Israelites.
00:25:23 He got 250 of them to decide
00:25:26 that they were gonna defect against Moses.
00:25:28 And as they were walking,
00:25:30 God opened up a hole in the earth
00:25:32 to swallow the group of people.
00:25:35 I don't know who this word is for,
00:25:41 but God told me to tell you,
00:25:43 "Fret not thyself,
00:25:45 "because of evil doers."
00:25:48 Psalms 37, "For they shall soon be cut down."
00:25:53 "Slap your neighbor and say,
00:25:54 "'Your enemies are scheduled to fall.'"
00:25:57 Oh, you didn't hear what I said?
00:25:59 You didn't hear what I said?
00:26:00 Let me talk to y'all over here.
00:26:02 They didn't hear what I said.
00:26:04 I said, "Your enemies are scheduled."
00:26:07 I don't want a balcony.
00:26:09 I'm coming for you.
00:26:10 I need everybody in this room
00:26:14 who has a devil that's up against you in your last name.
00:26:19 I need you to shout,
00:26:21 "Because God said, 'Your enemies are scheduled.'"
00:26:26 Don't worry about your haters.
00:26:40 The earth will swallow them.
00:26:42 Don't worry about your critics.
00:26:46 The earth will swallow them.
00:26:48 Don't worry about your defectors.
00:26:50 The earth will swallow them.
00:26:53 God told me to tell you that your enemies
00:26:56 have a scheduled date
00:26:59 to all of a sudden just stumble and fall.
00:27:03 The Lord is my light and my salvation.
00:27:10 Whom shall I fear?
00:27:11 The Lord is the strength of my life.
00:27:12 Whom shall I be afraid when evil men come upon me
00:27:16 to eat up my flesh?
00:27:17 They...
00:27:18 (crowd cheering)
00:27:21 Somebody shout, "My enemies are gonna fall."
00:27:27 And here's what the scripture says.
00:27:29 The enemies you see today,
00:27:31 I prophesy to you today
00:27:34 that the enemy that you have in your life right now
00:27:37 will not follow you into 2024.
00:27:40 God says, "I'm..."
00:27:41 Oh, hey!
00:27:43 God says, "It's over."
00:27:45 Slap five people and say, "It's over, it's over.
00:27:47 "It's over, it's over, it's over, it's over."
00:27:49 (crowd cheering)
00:27:52 All of a sudden, the earth just swallowed them.
00:28:10 Could you imagine just walking minding your business
00:28:13 and a big sinkhole just opens up
00:28:16 and it just so happens to be in the area you are?
00:28:18 Touch not my anointing.
00:28:21 No, no, no, no, no.
00:28:25 You better hear what I said.
00:28:27 Touch not my anointing and do my prophet no harm.
00:28:30 I don't care what you think about Moses, I picked him.
00:28:33 I don't care what you think about Aaron, I chose him.
00:28:35 Anybody here understands that God's promises
00:28:38 are yay and amen.
00:28:39 And if God chose you,
00:28:40 they better keep their hands off of you.
00:28:42 Listen to me.
00:28:43 Oh, whoa, whoa.
00:28:45 I speak to every demon in this room
00:28:48 and every demon online.
00:28:49 If you think you wanna mess with me,
00:28:51 you better cancel your plans.
00:28:52 (crowd cheering)
00:28:55 Slap your neighbor and say, "Demon, cancel your plans.
00:28:59 "Get my child off of your list.
00:29:01 "Get my family off of your list.
00:29:03 "Get my mind off of your list."
00:29:06 (crowd cheering)
00:29:13 Every demon, hear the words that are coming out of our mouth.
00:29:16 Satan, the blood is against you.
00:29:19 (crowd cheering)
00:29:22 I cancel every attack of the enemy
00:29:28 on your health, on your wealth, on your family,
00:29:32 on your future, on your mind, on your body, on your spirit.
00:29:37 (crowd cheering)
00:29:41 (crowd applauding)
00:29:43 I found out that sometimes we call people mean,
00:29:52 don't realize they under attack.
00:29:54 It's hard to fight when every devil
00:30:01 assigned to your whole life
00:30:02 comes up against you at the same time.
00:30:04 How many of y'all fighting some devils right now?
00:30:07 (crowd cheering)
00:30:10 Fred knocked ourself because of evil doings.
00:30:17 In other words, don't concern yourself
00:30:19 with what the devil is trying to do in your life.
00:30:23 Even if it's manifesting in the physiology,
00:30:26 you understand it's still a spiritual battle
00:30:28 because there is a ministry inside of you
00:30:31 that if it ever gets loose,
00:30:33 everybody who looks to you is gonna get loose too.
00:30:36 So the devil keeps you bound so you can't free a generation.
00:30:39 But I come up against it right now in the name of Jesus.
00:30:43 I'm desperate for a chance.
00:30:46 (crowd cheering)
00:30:48 Who am I talking to?
00:30:54 You better walk in your authority.
00:31:02 (crowd cheering)
00:31:04 You better walk in where God made you.
00:31:08 I don't care how tall you are, how short you are,
00:31:13 how poor you are, how rich you are,
00:31:16 you're anointed and appointed and wonderfully made,
00:31:21 created for good works.
00:31:24 So you better start walking in your authority
00:31:27 instead of walking in your history.
00:31:29 (crowd cheering)
00:31:32 'Cause no matter who I was, it don't matter.
00:31:39 What matters is who I am.
00:31:42 And I am the righteousness of God.
00:31:45 I am the righteousness of God.
00:31:47 I am a joint heir with God.
00:31:49 I am the head and not the tail.
00:31:51 I am above and never beneath.
00:31:53 It doesn't matter what I was.
00:31:55 Behold, I do a new thing.
00:31:56 Somebody shot all things new.
00:31:59 Everything new.
00:32:00 Help me, Holy Ghost.
00:32:07 Who am I talking to so far?
00:32:09 Now watch this, don't sit down yet.
00:32:14 Stand up.
00:32:14 And then you can sit down.
00:32:17 Because Bishop, if I just said that Korah
00:32:22 and the 250 people were swallowed up in a hole,
00:32:25 then how are we writing a song to them?
00:32:27 (crowd murmuring)
00:32:30 If they dead, how they living?
00:32:35 Well, whenever you read the Bible,
00:32:37 you have to understand whenever you see the word son,
00:32:39 it doesn't mean always biological.
00:32:41 Sometimes when you see the, like the sons of Issachar,
00:32:46 it doesn't mean that every person that's a son of Issachar
00:32:49 came through his loins.
00:32:50 It means that they are a descendant of the glory.
00:32:54 So this, when it says the sons of Korah,
00:32:58 it is not talking about his biological sons.
00:33:00 It's talking about his descendants,
00:33:03 which means that somewhere along the line,
00:33:05 his family got the picture that y'all mess with Moses,
00:33:08 but we ain't.
00:33:09 Oh, help me, Holy Ghost.
00:33:15 Somebody in the family got the picture and said,
00:33:17 "Uh, we done messed with Moses,
00:33:20 and it didn't do good for y'all,
00:33:21 so we going to take charge of the rest of the family?"
00:33:24 Because let me tell you,
00:33:25 there was an entire dynasty of demons
00:33:28 that were coming after you.
00:33:29 But God has so much favor on your life
00:33:34 that some of them are going to change their mind
00:33:37 about an attack that they had planned for you, the future.
00:33:42 And I speak in your life that there were doors
00:33:45 that were going to be closed to you
00:33:48 that in the next 30 days,
00:33:50 God is going to pick the lock through your anointing,
00:33:52 and you're going to walk through something
00:33:54 that the devil had closed.
00:33:56 If I'm speaking to somebody online
00:33:58 or somebody in this room,
00:34:00 I'm going to give you 18 seconds to give God glory
00:34:05 because the change has already started.
00:34:09 (audience cheering)
00:34:12 And let me say this to you,
00:34:26 for some of y'all who sometimes operate
00:34:29 under the unction of the flesh,
00:34:32 sometimes the devil can use you
00:34:35 to do harm to somebody he has chosen.
00:34:39 If I were you in this next season,
00:34:41 I would disobey the devil.
00:34:42 You better hear me.
00:34:46 I'm talking about disobeying what that old rotten flesh
00:34:50 keep telling you to do to make yourself feel better.
00:34:53 You know that thing that says, "Stay mad."
00:34:59 Stay mad so he get the picture.
00:35:05 Are you going to be single?
00:35:08 (audience laughing)
00:35:11 You going to end up getting something you ain't want?
00:35:15 Don't go to work so they'll see how valuable you are.
00:35:24 You going to end up unemployed.
00:35:26 Are you listening to me?
00:35:29 'Cause you can choose your actions,
00:35:36 but you can't choose my reaction.
00:35:38 It ain't for show you going to get what you trying to get.
00:35:42 You better deny your flesh
00:35:53 so you can accept your future.
00:35:58 Are you praying with me today?
00:36:04 (audience laughing)
00:36:07 Now, why am I talking to you about this?
00:36:08 Because at the time that David goes through
00:36:10 one of the most passionate moments in his life,
00:36:13 he writes this psalm to the sons of Korah
00:36:16 because this generation of Korahs
00:36:18 have decided to do something different
00:36:23 than the previous generation.
00:36:24 And now he dedicates, listen to me,
00:36:28 now he dedicates a song to people
00:36:33 who tried to disenfranchise his descendants.
00:36:37 My question is, do you have the capacity
00:36:42 to allow what happened in the past
00:36:46 to be wiped away and treat people right in the future
00:36:53 who are connected to your past hurt?
00:36:55 Because some of y'all couldn't bless the sons of Korah
00:37:01 because of who they were related to,
00:37:03 but I'm not the person who hurt you
00:37:05 even if I came from the same tribe.
00:37:07 You missed what I just said.
00:37:12 Because these sons of Korahs came from the tribe of Levi.
00:37:16 Moses was a Levite, which means
00:37:20 that the people who came up against him
00:37:22 came from the same tribe as him.
00:37:25 It'd be your own people.
00:37:30 (congregation murmuring)
00:37:33 David says, I wanna be blessed so bad
00:37:42 I'm not gonna live in the past.
00:37:44 I'm desperate for a change.
00:37:46 I don't have time to be fighting battles
00:37:51 from two generations ago.
00:37:53 Why are you still trying to win your mama's battle?
00:37:55 She hated your daddy, you don't have to.
00:37:58 (congregation murmuring)
00:38:01 See, y'all don't wanna hear nothing for real.
00:38:04 Everybody wants you to come to church and be fake
00:38:07 and give 'em a little Easter speech.
00:38:09 I don't do Easter speeches, I do sermons.
00:38:11 I do words from God.
00:38:13 I don't have time to pacify you.
00:38:15 You're not gonna get the life you want
00:38:17 still fighting your grandma's battle,
00:38:19 hating your uncle because he did something to her?
00:38:21 He didn't do it to you.
00:38:23 (congregation murmuring)
00:38:26 David said, I can't fight Moses' battle.
00:38:34 I'm gonna write this song to the ones who got it right.
00:38:41 And because the sons of Korah were Levites,
00:38:46 it means they were musicians.
00:38:48 So what took place was David wrote the words
00:38:51 and they put the music to it.
00:38:52 I'm asking you, can you co-write a song with an enemy?
00:38:57 Oh my God, Lord have mercy.
00:39:02 Let me say it again for the people in the back
00:39:05 who just so happen to have earmuffs on
00:39:07 and they did not hear me.
00:39:08 Can you co-write a song with somebody you don't like?
00:39:12 (congregation murmuring)
00:39:15 (David murmuring)
00:39:18 I'm waiting on the answer.
00:39:27 Not a...
00:39:27 Can you?
00:39:30 She said, and did.
00:39:37 Some of y'all already...
00:39:39 How many of y'all say and did?
00:39:41 They don't know I don't like them.
00:39:43 If they knew, they don't know I can't stand them.
00:39:46 I'm doing it right now.
00:39:47 They don't know I don't trust them.
00:39:49 I'm doing it right now.
00:39:50 I'm sitting next to them, they don't know.
00:39:58 So he wrote it to the sons of Korah.
00:40:09 Can I tell you something?
00:40:12 David, although he had lost his throne at this moment,
00:40:15 he was still king.
00:40:16 And he wrote this song to the sons of Korah.
00:40:22 I'm gonna leave you with two things to put in your notes.
00:40:27 Number one, God says there is a king or a person in power
00:40:32 that is about to prefer you over everybody else.
00:40:35 They gonna have all kind of connections
00:40:41 and you ain't gonna be able to understand
00:40:43 why they like you.
00:40:44 They just gonna like you because God somehow
00:40:46 in the annals of time just connected to them.
00:40:50 They just like the way you walk, the way you talk,
00:40:52 the way you build, the way you smile.
00:40:54 And there's gonna be a whole lot of people
00:40:55 that's more qualified, but God gonna assign them to you.
00:40:57 They gonna have money, they gonna have resources,
00:40:59 they gonna have opportunity,
00:41:00 and they gonna prefer you over everybody else.
00:41:03 So number one, get ready for it.
00:41:10 I prophesied, I'm telling you what I know.
00:41:12 Number two, I make a recommendation to every demon
00:41:18 in this room, online, and in your life,
00:41:22 abandon the plan you have for God's people.
00:41:26 Some of y'all had something that you had planned
00:41:32 to get back at somebody.
00:41:33 God told me to tell you, if you want your future,
00:41:36 you better abandon the plan.
00:41:38 (audience shouting)
00:41:40 I know they hurt you, I know they broke up with you,
00:41:43 I know they made you give up your apartment,
00:41:45 and then they left you with the rent.
00:41:46 I know all of that happened, but God says,
00:41:48 abandon the plan, 'cause if you pass this test,
00:41:51 I'm gonna give you a testimony.
00:41:52 'Cause when you messing with me, you messing with God.
00:42:02 Tell your neighbor, when you messing with me,
00:42:05 you messing with God.
00:42:06 (audience shouting)
00:42:09 Y'all doing all right?
00:42:14 So when David wrote this psalm,
00:42:17 Arthur, he's on the run from his son Absalom.
00:42:20 Absalom is trying to kill him.
00:42:22 So he's writing this psalm on the run.
00:42:29 I should've named this On the Run.
00:42:32 Boy, I got five sermon titles already.
00:42:35 (audience laughing)
00:42:37 He's writing it on the run.
00:42:38 Anybody ever ran before?
00:42:39 What happens when you run?
00:42:42 What happened when you've been running for a long time?
00:42:48 This is how some people run.
00:42:51 As long as somebody looking, they running,
00:42:53 when everybody looking, they...
00:42:55 Then they see somebody looking, they...
00:42:58 He on the run.
00:42:58 He on the run.
00:43:04 He just made it to Galveston, running.
00:43:06 Now he done made it to Louisiana, he's still running.
00:43:13 Yeah, 'cause see, some of y'all don't know how to run
00:43:18 for a long time.
00:43:19 He's running, he's running, he's running.
00:43:22 And what happens when you keep running?
00:43:24 (audience laughing)
00:43:27 As the deer.
00:43:35 (audience applauding)
00:43:41 It is his activity that has given him the craving
00:43:46 that he speaks about in the text.
00:43:52 And then to express it the best way he can,
00:43:55 he can't express it in human formality,
00:43:59 he has to use anthropomorphism, and he says, as the deer.
00:44:03 At that time, a deer would be like a dog.
00:44:09 Everybody saw one.
00:44:10 How many of y'all got a dog?
00:44:13 How they act when they thirsty?
00:44:15 They act like they about to die.
00:44:17 (imitates deer panting)
00:44:21 (audience laughing)
00:44:24 David's on the run because his son is trying to kill him.
00:44:29 So imagine he wrote this depressed.
00:44:34 Oh, how would you feel if your child was trying
00:44:39 to end your life after all you've done for him?
00:44:41 Sometimes it feel like they,
00:44:45 oh, no, you trying to kill me, ain't you?
00:44:47 (audience laughing)
00:44:50 He's discouraged.
00:44:53 It's flesh and blood.
00:44:58 He's despondent.
00:45:01 He's dealing with depression.
00:45:05 Brought that boy in this world, I should've took him out.
00:45:07 But he wrote Psalms 42 anyway.
00:45:15 The Lord told me to tell you,
00:45:17 you are gonna have to write this chapter depressed.
00:45:23 (audience applauding)
00:45:29 Somebody said, what did he say?
00:45:30 I'm gonna say it again.
00:45:32 You're gonna have to write this portion of your life
00:45:37 not feeling your best.
00:45:44 Somebody got me.
00:45:45 You gonna have to overcome now with no strength.
00:45:50 You gonna have to do this part of life
00:45:59 weaker than you've ever been before.
00:46:02 You gonna have to do this one
00:46:06 without a friend in the world.
00:46:13 This is gonna be the hardest chapter
00:46:16 you've ever written in your life.
00:46:17 And if you gonna sit in your dark room
00:46:24 with the shades drawn
00:46:25 and keep your pen in your pocket
00:46:28 until you feel like writing,
00:46:30 you gonna mess around and miss an entire chapter
00:46:33 of your future because you couldn't write
00:46:36 when you were weak.
00:46:37 (audience applauding)
00:46:40 You gonna have to do this one in between jobs.
00:46:48 You gonna have to do this and the divorce ain't final.
00:46:55 I ain't playing with y'all.
00:47:00 See, I came for deliverance.
00:47:01 Y'all sometimes hear that scream?
00:47:03 That's somebody saying, Lord, you talking to me.
00:47:06 And I didn't expect to come here
00:47:08 to get talked to personally like that.
00:47:10 You gonna have to do this
00:47:17 when you gave your whole life to somebody
00:47:20 thinking it was gonna last forever
00:47:21 and you don't have a plan
00:47:22 and so now they holding the money back
00:47:23 and you don't know how you gonna eat
00:47:25 or how you gonna pay the bills
00:47:26 and you gonna have to trust
00:47:27 that God's gonna make a way out of it.
00:47:36 This one?
00:47:37 This chapter?
00:47:40 You gonna have to write this one in a cave
00:47:42 and not at a desk.
00:47:44 And you better be good.
00:47:52 It doesn't get to be a bad song because you're in pain.
00:47:58 I love music, anybody love music?
00:48:02 Listen, the best music
00:48:03 is written
00:48:07 when the artist is in the most pain.
00:48:12 You can't tell me Lenny wasn't suffering
00:48:14 when he said, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:48:16 You can't tell me.
00:48:17 Lenny was struggling.
00:48:21 I love you, baby.
00:48:29 (audience cheering)
00:48:32 Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:48:38 Anybody who say oh, oh, oh that many times is struggling.
00:48:41 He ain't got the words to say.
00:48:57 You can't tell me Teddy P
00:48:58 wasn't struggling.
00:49:03 You can't tell me,
00:49:05 oh, Marvin must've had a lot of pain.
00:49:08 Every song Marvin Gaye ever wrote
00:49:12 got the Holy Ghost on it.
00:49:13 I'm gonna tell you that right now.
00:49:14 You can't tell me Marvin wasn't in pain.
00:49:24 Because pain produces the best sound.
00:49:28 And the reason why you can't write a best-selling hit
00:49:34 is 'cause you run from the pain
00:49:36 instead of running through it.
00:49:38 And every person who's always trying
00:49:39 to get away from the pain,
00:49:41 you eliminate yourself from being able
00:49:43 to write the best song that God has ever given you.
00:49:46 I'm talking to you at home.
00:49:47 I had to do two things right there.
00:49:53 I seen somebody in my periphery.
00:49:54 I had to make sure they was a cameraman.
00:49:55 I was about to swing.
00:49:56 Then once I found out it was camera people,
00:49:59 then I went on and did my job.
00:50:00 Woe was about to get knocked out.
00:50:02 On God he was.
00:50:04 Pop, pop, it was gonna be one hitter, quitter, bam!
00:50:11 I'm gonna draw that right leg back.
00:50:15 Y'all give this young man a hand.
00:50:18 He had a baby this morning.
00:50:19 He's still here at church.
00:50:22 Some of y'all would have been at home.
00:50:24 He had a baby this morning and he still came to do his job
00:50:28 because as the deer pants for streams of water.
00:50:32 In other words, I gotta get to the sanctuary
00:50:35 even though my wife is at the hospital
00:50:36 because there was something connected to this house.
00:50:39 It needs me and I need it.
00:50:43 You good, woe?
00:50:49 All right.
00:50:50 He wrote this chapter depressed
00:50:55 because God says pain produces the best sound.
00:51:01 You ever heard somebody in pain?
00:51:04 Oh, have you ever heard somebody praying and they suffering?
00:51:07 Oh, it sound different.
00:51:10 No, when you praying and you just need,
00:51:13 you just need a little rent, Lord,
00:51:15 if you could just bless my finances,
00:51:16 but when your mama's sick,
00:51:19 (congregation cheering)
00:51:22 and the doctor done found something in your five-year-old.
00:51:27 Oh, help me, Holy Ghost.
00:51:30 When you really get down in the angles of life,
00:51:33 you got some real pain.
00:51:36 If you can't say a word, you just.
00:51:40 God says, I'm trying to get a sound out of you
00:51:46 and I can't get it out of you regularly,
00:51:49 so I'm gonna have to create thirst.
00:51:51 Oh, come here, let's talk.
00:51:55 I'm almost done because David was craving.
00:52:00 He was craving God.
00:52:01 He says, as the deer pass through streams of water,
00:52:04 so my soul thirsts for you, O God.
00:52:07 He's craving.
00:52:08 Notice David didn't say, I'm hungry for God.
00:52:11 He said, I'm thirsty for him.
00:52:15 And my wife and I, we have certain shows
00:52:18 that we can only watch when we're together.
00:52:21 Anybody got that going on in your house?
00:52:24 Like she can watch some stuff on her own
00:52:26 and it's normally some kind of cooking and baking show.
00:52:29 I'm not interested at all,
00:52:32 but I'll sometimes watch it with her.
00:52:35 And then I watch Martin over and over.
00:52:37 So this is what she do when she come in the room
00:52:39 and I'm watching Martin.
00:52:40 She'll be like, hey, but, oh.
00:52:41 And I'm in there cracking up
00:52:44 like I ain't never seen it before.
00:52:46 I'm looking at Jerome in the house.
00:52:48 I'm looking at all of that.
00:52:49 She goes out, but there are certain shows
00:52:50 that we watch together and Naked and Afraid is one of them.
00:52:53 And we be talking like we're going out there.
00:52:57 I think I can survive there.
00:52:59 The Bugs is too bad over there,
00:53:00 but I think I can handle that one over there.
00:53:03 Naked and Afraid.
00:53:04 And what the show taught us is that some of them
00:53:09 go the entire 21 days with no food.
00:53:13 But you can't go a day without water.
00:53:17 So the reason why he says, I thirst for God
00:53:19 and I'm not hungry for God,
00:53:21 because the truth is, is everybody in church
00:53:23 is trying to create a hunger for God,
00:53:24 which is why you can go three weeks without him.
00:53:27 But God never said, I'm a living turnip green.
00:53:33 He said, I'm living water.
00:53:35 So he says, you have to thirst after me.
00:53:38 I need you to understand that you have to want me so bad
00:53:42 that you can't go through the afternoon
00:53:44 without a sip of my goodness.
00:53:46 Oh, taste and see.
00:53:48 He says, I need you craving for me as a deer
00:53:58 pants for streams of water.
00:54:01 So my soul thirst for you, oh God.
00:54:05 Another thing that I like to watch is National Geographic.
00:54:08 Boy, when those lion are chasing those gazelles,
00:54:11 they be hitting them corners.
00:54:13 Boom. You ever seen them? You ever seen them run?
00:54:15 They can't, they be gone.
00:54:17 And at the end of it all, when they get tired
00:54:20 and can't outrun them, they just jump in the water.
00:54:24 Why do they jump in the water?
00:54:26 Because by the time they stop running,
00:54:27 number one, they're thirsty.
00:54:29 But number two, they understand that if they jump in water,
00:54:32 there has a current.
00:54:34 It will. Anybody know he will carry you through.
00:54:48 I need about 500 people to high five somebody
00:54:52 who look like they got the Holy Ghost and say,
00:54:54 he will carry you through. You got the wrong number.
00:54:59 Neighbor, touch somebody else's shoulder.
00:55:01 He will. There's an old song that,
00:55:11 a poem that talks about walking in sand and looking back
00:55:15 and only seeing one set of footprints in the sand
00:55:18 because somewhere along the line,
00:55:20 he picked me up and carried me the rest of the way.
00:55:25 Do I have anybody in the Lighthouse Church
00:55:27 and anybody online that'll shout for 10 seconds
00:55:30 because he will carry you through?
00:55:35 Somebody shout, he'll carry you.
00:55:37 Somebody shout, he'll carry you.
00:55:40 Somebody shout, he'll carry you.
00:55:42 Somebody shout, he'll carry you.
00:55:44 What he said in Isaiah 46, I made you and I will carry you.
00:55:56 God says, because I made you,
00:55:58 I'm obligated to keep you safe.
00:56:01 And whenever you get tired of running from the devil,
00:56:04 just jump in me.
00:56:05 That's why I ain't committed suicide because he's ...
00:56:16 That's why I didn't take the bottle of pills because he was ...
00:56:20 That's why I didn't jump off the bridge because he was ...
00:56:23 Whenever the deer jumps in the stream,
00:56:35 I keep getting all these revelations,
00:56:37 he jumps in the stream,
00:56:38 the deer is careful not to touch any branches on the sides
00:56:45 and the banks of the river as he's going in
00:56:48 because enemies track scent.
00:56:52 So he makes sure that he doesn't touch anything where he enters
00:56:59 so that the enemy doesn't know where he was the last time.
00:57:03 I want to talk to somebody who's about to exit a negative season.
00:57:11 God said, be careful what you touch on your way out.
00:57:16 Oh God, touch your neighbor and say,
00:57:19 be careful what you touch on your way out.
00:57:22 If you're done with the relationship,
00:57:24 don't touch him again.
00:57:26 Oh, y'all don't want to say nothing,
00:57:29 but I came to preach to everybody in here.
00:57:31 If you said you're done, stop touching it.
00:57:34 Problem is you keep saying you're done and then you touch it
00:57:44 and now the devil finds your DNA.
00:57:46 Oh, there she is. There he is.
00:57:51 You better be careful what you touch on your way out.
00:57:57 I won't let y'all go. I got three minutes.
00:58:20 I'm going to take all my time.
00:58:22 I waited on y'all. Y'all going to wait on me.
00:58:24 Get that on everything.
00:58:30 He said, jumps in the water, don't touch nothing on the way out.
00:58:37 There's going to be some hard-headed deers.
00:58:42 I know deer is plural already, but pardon my ebonic relapse.
00:58:48 There's some hard-headed deers.
00:58:50 Just got to test them.
00:58:56 How many of y'all hard-headed deers?
00:58:59 Just, just, I can eat the apple.
00:59:03 I won't surely die.
00:59:18 You ain't thirsty for me because I'm good?
00:59:21 You won't crave me because I'm good?
00:59:25 Okay, I'll create thirst.
00:59:29 I won't say the brand of the water, but there is a water
00:59:40 that is created by a popular beverage company
00:59:44 that has enough sodium in it
00:59:46 so that every time you drink it, it creates thirst.
00:59:53 Because you're never quenching the thirst.
00:59:56 You just keep consuming the thing that makes you thirsty.
01:00:00 It's like the Bible talks about the sloth.
01:00:04 You ever seen a sloth, how a sloth moves slow?
01:00:08 And the Bible talks about not being like a sloth.
01:00:10 But what most people don't understand about a sloth
01:00:13 is that a sloth is not slow.
01:00:14 It just eats a plant that has a cannabis-like effect
01:00:18 inside of it, so the thing it eats makes it slow.
01:00:21 If the sloth didn't consume that type of flower,
01:00:28 it'd be able to move regularly, but it's addicted to the thing
01:00:30 that makes it look silly.
01:00:32 And so now I'm addicted to the thing
01:00:38 that got me looking dumb.
01:00:40 (congregation cheering)
01:00:44 God didn't create me to move like this,
01:00:50 but I'm connected and I'm addicted to the thing
01:00:53 that got me looking stupid.
01:00:55 (congregation cheering)
01:00:59 (congregation chattering)
01:01:02 So God said, "Okay, you won't crave me naturally?
01:01:23 "I'll create a thirst.
01:01:25 "I'll put something in your life."
01:01:29 That will keep you bowing down at the cross.
01:01:31 I gotta go.
01:01:36 'Cause see, some of y'all like the word,
01:01:41 but some people just came to punch a clock
01:01:42 and they ready to go home.
01:01:44 I'll say this, anybody who's ready to go,
01:01:46 let me give you the benediction.
01:01:47 May the Lord watch between you and me,
01:01:48 and right after one for another, amen.
01:01:50 You can go.
01:01:51 For the rest of y'all who want to get the rest of this word,
01:01:54 I'm about to give it to you.
01:01:56 (congregation cheering)
01:01:59 During World War II, when they were building
01:02:04 the Panama Canal between North America and South America,
01:02:08 the Panamanians who were working there,
01:02:11 they did not want to do the work.
01:02:13 They were contracted by the US Army to do the work,
01:02:16 and they did the work.
01:02:17 Watch this.
01:02:18 But they were always behind on the deadlines
01:02:21 because they came from a poor society,
01:02:24 and they would only work hard enough to get their needs met,
01:02:27 and once they had enough money to meet their needs,
01:02:29 they stopped working.
01:02:30 This is proven by history.
01:02:34 So everything was always behind
01:02:36 because they would only work once their needs were met.
01:02:38 They didn't understand the concept of being wealthy.
01:02:41 There was no overtime.
01:02:42 I ate, I stopped working.
01:02:43 They were only working three out of seven days.
01:02:45 It put the deadline behind.
01:02:47 Here's what the Army commander did that was genius.
01:02:52 He came back to America and got a stack of catalogs
01:02:57 from a store called Sears and Roebuck.
01:02:59 Now, some of y'all too young to know,
01:03:01 but Sears was the old school Walmart.
01:03:05 You used to go to, how many of y'all, just watch this, y'all.
01:03:08 How many young folks ain't never been to a Sears?
01:03:09 Raise your hand.
01:03:10 Look at that, look at that, look at that.
01:03:13 How many of y'all never even heard of Sears?
01:03:15 Shame on you.
01:03:16 They had a catalog, and Sears had everything.
01:03:19 You could get socks, a refrigerator,
01:03:21 and get your oil change.
01:03:23 (audience laughing)
01:03:24 Oh, my mama used to take us to Sears.
01:03:26 We'd walk up and down Sears,
01:03:27 and if you went to a big Sears, it had several levels.
01:03:30 Sears was Walmart and Target before Target
01:03:34 and Walmart was Target and Walmart.
01:03:36 And he gave all of the workers catalogs,
01:03:44 and they started looking through it.
01:03:47 Oh, you can get...
01:03:52 I didn't know they had an electric shaver.
01:03:54 I didn't know that I could go
01:04:00 from an ice box to a refrigerator.
01:04:02 So what the man does is he creates thirst,
01:04:07 and now when they see the catalog
01:04:09 and see that there are things available
01:04:11 that they didn't normally have,
01:04:12 now they start working seven days a week
01:04:16 to make the money to quench the thirst.
01:04:18 I should've named this sermon Thirst Trap.
01:04:22 (audience laughing)
01:04:25 How many is that?
01:04:29 I got several more.
01:04:32 Don't worry about that part.
01:04:35 God says, "I will make you thirsty
01:04:38 "if you won't get thirsty.
01:04:39 "I will dry something up in your life,
01:04:45 "and I'll create a thirst if you won't crave me."
01:04:50 And what a lot of you all are dealing with in your life
01:04:54 is the result of not having a natural craving
01:04:56 for the Holy Ghost.
01:04:58 So God says, "I will create thirst in your life,
01:05:01 "and I will let things fall so far down
01:05:04 "till you get to the point where you realize,
01:05:07 "if I don't have God, I'm not going to make it."
01:05:11 (audience applauding)
01:05:20 Manufactured thirst.
01:05:21 Because you just won't crave Him naturally.
01:05:26 I don't know about you, but I gotta have God.
01:05:30 And I don't just want Him when I need something,
01:05:34 I need Him every hour.
01:05:35 Mary said, "My soul does magnify the Lord."
01:05:44 You gotta want Him.
01:05:50 And you can't just want His stuff.
01:05:54 Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,
01:06:01 and then all things shall be added unto you.
01:06:04 Most of us start with the things, and we add God on.
01:06:08 Which is why you have stuff and no peace.
01:06:12 'Cause everybody in church ain't broke.
01:06:18 Some of y'all got money in your savings account,
01:06:20 and you ain't smiled this year.
01:06:22 Your car start up every time you push the button.
01:06:28 But you ain't got no joy.
01:06:29 And yet somebody called an Uber here,
01:06:32 and they said, "I'm glad when they said unto me,
01:06:34 "let us go to the house of the Lord."
01:06:37 'Cause you have to crave God
01:06:39 more than you crave His benefits.
01:06:47 It's amazing how many people come to church
01:06:49 and do this after about an hour and a half.
01:06:51 But you hope the concert lasts four hours.
01:06:58 I ain't pay all that money to get out in an hour and a half.
01:07:03 They go off the stage, you shout for them to come back
01:07:08 to sing a song that you already heard before.
01:07:10 You ain't heard this song before.
01:07:12 (audience cheering)
01:07:15 You saving up to go to Vegas.
01:07:24 I ain't say that you said that.
01:07:27 I ain't say his name.
01:07:29 But that's who I was talking about, but I ain't say it.
01:07:31 But that's who I was talking about.
01:07:34 You putting your flight money together,
01:07:39 your hotel room together,
01:07:41 your outfit money together,
01:07:44 your backup outfit money together,
01:07:46 your backup backup outfit money together.
01:07:49 Them drinks at that concert are going to be $75 a cup
01:07:54 and going to be watered down,
01:07:57 but you still going to be up time.
01:07:58 Oh!
01:07:59 Your hairdo money.
01:08:06 Your outfit money, dog.
01:08:12 Your sunglasses that you're going to wear in the dark.
01:08:14 Why are you wearing sunglasses?
01:08:15 Why are y'all wearing sunglasses in the dark?
01:08:19 Woo!
01:08:25 Yeah, cuz, yeah.
01:08:28 Yeah, dog, yeah.
01:08:30 What you doing?
01:08:31 Call sunglasses, not night goggles.
01:08:39 (audience laughing)
01:08:42 And you do all of that,
01:08:43 and they not starting on time.
01:08:47 And the seats going to be close.
01:08:53 They going to be standing on your shoes the whole time.
01:08:56 Somebody in front of you going to spill their drink
01:08:59 and it's going to splash on your ankle.
01:09:01 I'm bringing back memories, ain't you?
01:09:04 Like, ooh.
01:09:05 Then your friend, she going to get drunk
01:09:08 and you going to have to carry her to the cab
01:09:10 all the way back to the room.
01:09:13 And then you going to post, had a good time.
01:09:20 Going back next year for sure.
01:09:25 (audience laughing)
01:09:28 There's one thing I love about this church.
01:09:55 Some of y'all walk from a truck stop in 125 degrees.
01:10:00 When we didn't have concrete,
01:10:04 you was walking through the mud in your heels.
01:10:09 Some of y'all parking alone this road,
01:10:12 catching shuttles over,
01:10:15 knowing that it ain't going to be a seat left in the house.
01:10:19 But she said.
01:10:24 (audience applauding)
01:10:28 'Cause if I got to be uncomfortable,
01:10:30 I'm getting in the house because there was a miracle
01:10:34 that God has with my name on it.
01:10:35 And I speak that because of your sacrifice,
01:10:39 God is about to let it rain on you.
01:10:41 I wish I had somebody in this place.
01:10:43 Oh, I feel the glory of the Lord.
01:10:45 Stand on your feet and give five people a high five
01:10:47 and tell them God's about to make it rain in your life.
01:10:50 (audience applauding)
01:10:53 God's about to make it rain in your life.
01:11:00 Everything you touch, God's going to give it to you.
01:11:03 Everywhere your foot shall tread,
01:11:05 God is going to give it to you.
01:11:06 Somebody shout, I'm a lender.
01:11:09 Somebody shout, I'm an owner.
01:11:11 Somebody shout, I'm blessed.
01:11:13 Somebody shout, I'm highly favored.
01:11:15 Now if you believe it, make some noise.
01:11:17 (audience applauding)
01:11:21 I can't hear nobody.
01:11:23 I said I can't hear nobody.
01:11:25 I said I can't hear nobody.
01:11:28 Give your neighbor a high five and shout neighbor.
01:11:32 God's about to bless you in the city and in the field.
01:11:37 Watch this.
01:11:40 I told myself I wasn't going to do that,
01:11:42 but I brought the mic just in case.
01:11:44 Listen to this.
01:11:47 God says this is how I'm going to create the thirst.
01:11:51 I'm going to use three things.
01:11:55 Who's listening?
01:11:55 I'm going to use crushing, complaints, and critics.
01:12:03 This is how I'm going to create the testimony.
01:12:11 I'm going to crush you.
01:12:13 (audience laughing)
01:12:16 Then I'm going to make people complain about you.
01:12:22 (audience laughing)
01:12:25 Then I'm going to let some people criticize you.
01:12:28 (audience laughing)
01:12:31 And you got two options in this crushing.
01:12:35 Either get better or get bitter.
01:12:42 (audience laughing)
01:12:45 Get discouraged or get determined.
01:12:51 But here's the conclusion.
01:13:01 After the craving and the creation, here's the conclusion.
01:13:06 You got to read 2 Samuel 18 to get this.
01:13:10 Absalom, the one that was chasing him at this time, his son,
01:13:15 the chief of his army, the Bible says he pierced his heart
01:13:23 with three darts.
01:13:24 And he was subsequently killed
01:13:30 by 10 of Joab's armor bearers.
01:13:33 So suddenly, the hunter became the hunted.
01:13:40 (audience applauding)
01:13:43 And the man who he was trying to kill
01:13:45 is now on his way back to his throne.
01:13:48 And the man that tried to kill him is in the tomb.
01:13:54 Watch this.
01:13:59 Why do you think David was able to survive?
01:14:02 You reap what you sow.
01:14:05 Remember when he had a chance to kill a king?
01:14:08 (audience shouting)
01:14:11 You remember when Saul was asleep?
01:14:14 The Bible says he took a knife
01:14:17 and cut a part of his robe off and retreated and said,
01:14:20 "Saul, I could have killed you."
01:14:22 But the Bible says, "Touch not my anointing.
01:14:24 "And do my prophet no harm."
01:14:35 Now he is reaping what he sowed.
01:14:40 Absalom is dead.
01:14:44 And he's still the king.
01:14:48 I speak to every person in this place today.
01:14:54 If you are desperate for change,
01:14:59 you're gonna have to have a passion for God
01:15:05 that doesn't disappear because it's difficult.
01:15:08 Church can be a manipulation tool
01:15:15 that you use to get them to respond to you.
01:15:17 (audience shouting)
01:15:20 As the deer pants for streams of water.
01:15:25 Lord, I don't just want to drink you and have you in me.
01:15:29 I'm gonna jump in you because it is in you that I live,
01:15:32 I move, and I have my being.
01:15:35 Thy word have I hidden in my heart
01:15:41 that I might not sin against you.
01:15:45 If you are desperate for him.
01:15:49 I want you to remember the last time
01:15:56 for those of y'all who said you had a pet,
01:15:58 a dog in particular, whenever it's panting for water,
01:16:02 you've never seen a dog that panted silently.
01:16:06 You can always hear the pant.
01:16:14 Okay, say it again.
01:16:19 You've never seen a dog and not heard the pant.
01:16:24 Let me say it again.
01:16:30 (audience shouting)
01:16:34 You've never seen anything panting for water
01:16:37 and not heard a corresponding sound.
01:16:41 You can't pant silently.
01:16:45 You can always hear it.
01:16:48 I want to see if I can invoke some panting in this room.
01:17:00 I want to know, is there anybody in this place,
01:17:05 and I'm not asking you to make the sound of a dog,
01:17:07 how do we pant?
01:17:08 Lord, I love you, I give you glory.
01:17:11 You are Alpha and Omega, you are the beginning and the end.
01:17:14 You're the fairest of 10,000.
01:17:16 You're the beginning and the end.
01:17:17 You are Job's war horse.
01:17:19 You are the wheel in the middle of a wheel.
01:17:21 You are the rose of Sharon.
01:17:22 You are the great I am.
01:17:24 You are Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Sikhanou, Jehovah Nisi.
01:17:27 Somebody begin to open up your mouth
01:17:29 and pant for him right now.
01:17:30 Like the deer panting for water.
01:17:32 I can't hear you, Lighthouse.
01:17:33 I need to hear you online.
01:17:34 I need you to open up your mouth until hell gets nervous.
01:17:37 Come on and give him glory.
01:17:39 (whooshing)
01:17:41 (whooshing)
