Colombia Most Dangerous Country for Environmental Defenders

Colombia is the most dangerous country in the world for environmental defenders, according to a report by NGO Global Witness. It found that 177 people working to protect the planet were killed worldwide in 2022. Global Witness says the worsening climate crisis, and growing demand for agricultural goods, is putting more pressure on environmental defenders.
