Here's a wild idea on how the New York Giants can fix their offensive line woes.
Transcript
00:00 The New York Giants aren't pressing the panic button just yet after witnessing
00:04 their offensive line get annihilated by the Dallas Cowboys last week.
00:08 But with some more challenging defenses on deck in the coming weeks,
00:12 it's certainly clear that they need for their offensive line to play better.
00:15 But what if the line doesn't?
00:17 Well, the Calvary isn't coming in anytime soon.
00:21 But the Giants could have an answer already on their roster in the form of
00:24 second year man Joshua Izudu.
00:26 Izudu just barely lost the starting left guard competition to Ben Bredesen in
00:31 training camp this summer.
00:32 His biggest issue being inconsistency.
00:35 But Izudu's skill set and college experience at the University of
00:38 North Carolina, where he played significant snaps at both left and
00:42 right tackle, make him an intriguing option should the Giants be contemplating
00:46 a change sooner than later.
00:49 Now Andrew Thomas, as we know, as long as he's healthy,
00:52 will be this team's left tackle for the foreseeable future.
00:56 But with no guaranteed money owed to Mark Lewinsky after this year,
01:00 it's not expected that Lewinsky will be on this team beyond this season.
01:05 So could the Giants potentially kick around an idea in which Izudu maybe slides
01:10 in at right tackle, and Evan Neal, who unfortunately has picked up where he left
01:15 off last season and in not a good way, moves inside to right guard?
01:20 Well, this is a possibility that could certainly come to fruition
01:24 if the current line configuration continues to go south this season.
